oh! I wanted to tell y'all since I have done a certain amount of muttering under my breath about steve carlsberg in my baby nephew posts that steve has gotten MUCH better lately about interacting with the baby and paying attention to him. the baby just got his first professional barber shop haircut and I was asking him how it went and he said "it was good but I didn't like the clippers" and my sister said "yeah he was not comfortable with them using the clippers. so they just used scissors"

and steve said "you know, buddy, the clippers they use at the barber shop are the same as my beard trimmer. maybe when we get home you can watch me turn them on and see how they work on me, and if you want you could even use them to trim the hairs on the back of my neck! does that sound fun?"
