“Alicia...” the words died on Raquel’s lips as she pointed the gun at her.
This wasn’t how her first individual mission was meant to go. It wasn’t Alicia who she was meant to find at the crime scene. Before Raquel could do anything, Alicia snatched the gun off her, closing the distance between them.
“Let’s make this our little secret,” Raquel shivered as she felt the cold metal press to her jaw.
She heard Alicia chuckle, and instead of pain, Raquel felt soft lips press to her cheek. Without saying another word, Alicia disappeared, leaving Raquel shocked, in the middle of a crime scene, now, with a completely different problem.
