….caught a mistake in the eye of darkness audiobook 😂 looks like it was caught before it went to print but love it when I catch authors slipping on continuity
#I’m enjoying eye of darkness but also…#if it came out that George Mann hadn’t read Fallen Star I would not be surprised#like I’m not accusing but I would also just not be surprised#like between the ‘indeera gets name dropped but nothing else’ and ‘nib is alive suddenly despite dying quite prominently’#i just…wouldn’t be surprised#not tagging because this is a tiny bit salty#anyway I checked the print copy and it did get changed so someone caught it#but come on George#i guess too it depends on what the audiobooks are based on?#I’m assuming they’re from ARCs/early drafts since they come out so close to the print publications#i guess unless Marc went rogue lol and decided to resurrect nib himself#it’s around 3:30 in track 44 (chapter 41) nib is included in the list of pilots#also I’m not really mad and am being genuine I love catching mistakes#it’s like a little reminder that if George Mann can have a continuity error make it to audiobook recording#i - who write for free entirely alone in my spare time - can have some continuity errors as a treat#I’m unnecessarily hard on myself and it’s nice to remember that like…it’s fine actually!
