If I had a nickel for every time in the past couple days I saw a post where someone kind of implies that the fandom has declared a character “absolutely horrible” ONLY because of “low empathy” even though that’s not the issue with the character at all, they are literal hypocrites that treat their kid(s?) very poorly, then I’d have 2 nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened twice in different fandoms about different characters!

#I would love to say what EXACTLY I’m talking about but man I don’t want stuff to appear in tags.#okay fine I’ll just obnoxiously censor everything #obviously ph/ilza (the CHARACTER not the cc) from d/s/m/p #and the other is mi/sa/ko from nin/jag/o #now I rb’d the post so I’m not trying to clown on the person or anything lol #but ur fr implying that ppl hate mi/sa/ko for having ‘low empathy’ (I don’t rlly know where that came from but ok) instead of ABANDONING A #BABY??? SO HE WAS HOMELESS??#OH AND CHEATING ON UR HUSBAND* editing this tag in afterwards lol #like bestie no matter how little empathy u have u are not excused from that 😭😭😭#and everyone on my dash is already talking about c/phi/lza so I don’t feel the need to #now a character I actually think deserves a ‘stop hating so much he just has low empathy’ post is a/b/e from cl/on/e hi/gh #like I only looked at the fandom a little but if I interacted I would’ve been torn to SHREDS for liking him #like yes he did a lot of messed up stuff but A) he’s literally 16 and B) HE LEARNS HIS MISTAKES EVERY FRICKIN EPISODE #but everyone thinks ur the scum of the earth for liking him cuz ‘he’s such an a-hole’ 🙄 HE LEGITIMATELY TRIES TO BE GOOD #now to be clear. it’s been AGES since I watched that show. but I rlly just felt like he had empathy issues lol #note this doesn’t mean I think you HAVE to like a/b/e he is a simp lol but the amount of hate is just wow to me #ok I’m done hey c!p/hilz/a and mi/sa/ko should meet lmao (I think the latter is better than the former tbh)
