Before the world starts exploding with "Cain and Abel" stuff I need to simply say: I made my character Cain about 2 years ago and named him after Raising Cane's. Then I thought it'd be funny if he had a brother named Abel.
#i see it on the horizon#they're gonna be in hazbin or something next season#it's gonna be something in tadc too i bet#i swear my ideas are original!!#like at least 40% original ๐ต

Update: Going on 12 hours since the vaccine booster? Things have progressed to, "Yeah, I'm really not feeling great now. Maybe I should get some more Tylenol with my snack, before I go and lie down a while. ๐ค It has been more than long enough since I took some this afternoon."
And not so much like my previous experience, starting only a few hours after both doses of the AstraZeneca course: "Holy Jesus Fuck, what did they even put in that syringe?! I had better get some extra awesome superpowers out of this deal! ๐ณ๐ต๐" *sloshes near-boiling Earl Grey all over my lap in sudden violent fit of shivering*
(Seriously though, true story with the tea that first time. I was suddenly feeling rough enough that I thought I should grab something hot and soothing and take it to bed for a while. Never managed to drink that cup. But, Mr. C was kind enough to bring me as many big travel mugs full later as I could drink, along with extra blankets and some Tylenol. While I spent at least 36 hours laid out on the couch, with more truly OTT feverish fun for the first 12 or so.)
I saw other people who'd already had COVID as it was circulating fairly early on in the pandemic, describe their very similar sounding AZ reactions as horribly familiar--but SO MUCH milder and shorter lasting. Made me want to catch that shit for real even less, that's for sure!
Had a better idea of how my own immune system might try to kick my ass after the second dose, at least--and that shit still kinda took me by surprise. The immune response this time may too, definitely not wanting to get overconfident this early on!
But, I have thankfully never reacted Like That to any other vaccine, and I thought I'd had plenty of "flu-like symptoms" over 40+ years with this immune system so great at jumping on false alarms. ๐ And, I can't help but feel both relieved and cautiously optimistic right now, that this different booster has at least left me mostly functional for as long as it has already. That's such an improvement over the original course! Just feeling like a fairly average-for-me flu shot experience so far. *fingers crossed*
