I just LOVE the tone difference between the sad live action Baby Ahsoka flashbacks and TCW itself.

*Ahsoka, 14, child's media protagonist, duking it out with General Grievous/fighting off zombies/punching pirates and bounty hunters/dismantling black markets at the behest of the head of state girlfriend of her second master, epic music playing in the background* You can't stop me from fighting, Anakin! It's my choice whether or not to lay down my life! You can't keep me off the front lines, it's not fair! Stop protecting me!

*Ahsoka, 46, horrified* But surely even back then I wanted to stop fighting, right??

Ok so using an irl teenager to portray tcw ahsoka is obviously effective at showing how sad her being a child soldier is, BUT...

It's deeply fucking funny to reflect on how young Ahsoka was when she was being an absolute fucking savage in clone wars

Like imagine an eighth grader threatening to gut a political prisoner like a fish

Or a high schooler just casually slicing off four guys' heads at once

Or a college freshman beating the absolute shit out of the leader of a terrorist coup

Babygirl took no FUCKING prisoners

#nah girl your backstory is from a show for 8 year olds you were being badass and the narrative validated you for it #the masters WERE being unreasonable and overprotective for not bringing you along on death missions obviously #as evidence by how much you kicked ass when you took it into your own hands to do so #like adult ahsoka wants to believe kid her was traumatised by it all but really 14 yo ahsoka was doing fine #the trauma comes from seeing things through an adult's eyes
