the nier anime’s ability to surprise me when i’ve put over 100 hours into the game is literally insane
#eve showing up in the copied city fight so he’s the brother that dies first??? INSANE#2b having to fight copies of 9s instead of the other way around?? INSANE#and it’s all cool changes that still go along with the stories themes#like adam losing eve and experiencing that grief goes along with his wish to experience humanity#and 2b being reluctant to fight the 9s copies is good foreshadowing to how she hates killing 9s over and over#they’ve done SUCH a good job of making the story new for old fans but still adhering to what made the game so good#pretty much the only change that i haven’t been a fan of was the lily/anemone swap#nier#nier automata#max is speaking
