I really love how totally unpredictable the quality on Genshin Impact quests is. Like I did the new archon quests and they were really good, so I did the world quests I'd started but couldn't finish before I lost good Internet and oh my god what nonsense. Like 15 minutes of shrieking dialogue with Paimon, leading to useless quest instructions that take an hour and two guides to work out, a boring fight which Ganyu and Zhongli together trivialise and then, instead of getting to wrap it up, i get TWELVE more sub quests to finish before this one will go away.

Like seriously wtf?

I just want to check this off my to do list 😭

#I'm just got and frustrated #i really want to enjoy this game after being unable to play it for a year #but the difference between Mondstadt liyue and fontaine #and Inazuma and Sumeru #is just really frustrating #like the middle content is just bad #somehow both directionless and over written #incredibly long and detailed but also vapid and shallow #and the new mechanics are just asinine #like rather than building in pre-existing mechanics or concepts #we get like five bajillion alternative map movement types that are all varying degrees of annoying #like I'm shocked it took until Fontaine for swimming and waverider to be like... important?#and don't get me started on how the puzzles are more labour intensive than ever but only give a common chest #like SO much more effort for a fraction of the same reward #like why?#i get they can't have a major economic bloat on their gacha mechanics but then... they don't need to?#just so many baffling decision #i just want to wrap up Sumeru so i can ignore it like i do inazuka #inazuma*
