#like I had already been uneasy but when I saw the increased price of laundry I lost it

So I got the notice from my landlord about renewing my lease. She’s trying to raise my rent by $40 for this coming year.

(She also increased the price of doing laundry in my building so now it costs me nearly $10 to do two loads of laundry lmfao….)

Do you guys think it may be worth it to try and negotiate? I’m nervous, but, like

That’s almost $500 extra a year. That’s a LOT. on top of increased cost to do something as simple as my laundry it feels kind of insulting honestly.

Also I thought maybe I could leverage that the pool, a huge amenity that I moved here for and I expected to be part of what I was paying for, has not been functional whatsoever.

Idk I was googling my options and they said maybe I could try offering to be okay with raising it by $15 or $20 but not the whole $40. Idk

What do you guys think….? The whole thing got me upset nearly to tears last night tbh….lol
