Remember last year I put in Alex Marvez? He still sucks of course but he was the substitute for this guy who got a stay of execution thanks to outside interference! In other words I wanted to give the guy a second chance - despite my gut feeling it won't manifest into the same outcome as, say, Miro or even Ortiz wisening up to the business. The short answer is this guy hit his glass ceiling a long time ago in AEW and has devalued all who work with him to the point he's even been a serious contender for both the TNT and World titles, ranked No.1 in singles, and has a visual win over Kenny Omega. Tony Khan needs to cut this guy before he does more damage to the reputation and momentum of this company now they have talent who are more than capable of replacing his comedy routine. The time for bush league antics is over. Oh and James Cipperly? Just for the record CM Punk had the class to give your fan some shoes what did you give him? The cold shoulder. Go consider some rope and lighter fluid.
Tumblr media
Or 2.0 - the team which deserved nothing and got everything. Sure they took losses but they have wins too and, more importantly, took slots away from others. Now would I also include Daniel Garcia here? No. He's just as stupid for associating with these clowns but he's a good 15 years younger too so there's time to untie those amateur knots. These guys are hazards to the concept of rankings and establishments - how dare Tony Khan try to treat them with the reverence of other new signings - the post-show scrum after All-Out in September and the reminder Tony Khan had to make on their signing tells it all about how people think of them. Waste of time and effort. Calling them flash-in-the-pans would be a compliment.
Tumblr media
What a disappointment. I had hopes for her but she turned into a Brandi Rhodes substitute, looking ridiculous in the ring against women like Jade Cargill, and with one of the worst botches this year on her moonsault she'll never hit as good as Julia Hart, her gimmick is lame, her association with Big Swole is bad, and has zero presence with the fans in her promos or work. She doesn't even have a strong enough look plus has poor taste in men! Now we have the likes of Thunder Rosa full time, Ruby Soho on board, and plenty of choices elsewhere, she's not needed at all.
Tumblr media
Excalibur is a condescending egomaniac who has to hog the glory of commentating because he genuinely believes he is irreplacible due to knowing the names of holds even the ones which have yet to be officially named by the wrestlers themselves! Aside from his annoying cliches to say "swing and a miss" or how he laughs like a eunuch, the worst traits are when you got guys like Eddie Kingston, CM Punk, Taz, and more, all on the commentary booth doing a better job part-time than he can full-time and he knows it due to how he has to get the last word in and rarely allows things to breathe. A smothering sycophant for himself and a detriment to the professionalism of AEW. Get this glorified smark out of here.
Tumblr media
Everyone knows Luther is only here because he's friends with Chris Jericho. His gimmick and run had run dry long before he embaressed himself on TV against his said friend but the biggest crime is how many Dark and other YouTube matches he's main evented with Serpentico. He is taking a valuable spot away from other talent for airtime who could get over or learn how to apply themselves. If he wants to stay as a behind-the-scenes coach go for it just get this guy off TV because at this point I'd rather see Billy Gunn or Tully Blanchard wrestle more...actually don't take this suggestion seriously just get all the elder statesmen off save for maybe Sting or Jericho - if you can go you have to be able to go with the young guys or else get out.
Tumblr media
A big mistake by Tony Khan to bring him back. This guy has bad news written all over him and is an unprofessional 'toss pot'. I don't care how talented he is we can throw the word 'talent' around to at least 50 underutilised guys on AEW this year and nobody missed this guy when he retired over and over. He's back for what reason exactly? Certainly not to be the next Orange Cassidy HAHAHAH can you imagine? Maybe Tony Khan really brought him back because he's a simp for Danielle Fishel and who can blame him? Topanga is an icon of TV. I dunno why she fawns over Lio but it's the only value he's ever had as a person. Get her as his manager or get this boy out of AEW's world.
Tumblr media
To be fair it's not like he's been completely abhorrent however this man may have the luckiest career in all of pro-wrestling. He's been to the top in WWE, ended up being the last Lucha Underground world champion, and has remained relatively strong on TV despite being a charisma vacuum who wrestles like any journeyman would in the mid-70s. Out of style from day 1, Hager's allure was being the 'big man' yet we don't need another one like him we already got enough...and for technicians? Are you really going to compare him to the likes of a Danielson? I didn't intend to turn this into a 'get rid of Jericho's friends' situations but like Luther this guy has had enough air time and needs to give the others their time to shine as his star has dulled
Tumblr media
Brian Cage was a tossup between him and Luchasaurus and Luchasaurus only escaped being removed on merit of having a story to tell with Jungle Boy when they finally decide to split or cease being a tag-team. They're both equally as bad though when it comes to the awkwardness of their abilities to be bigger guys who don't act as power wrestlers but instead high-flyers or try to utilise movesets which aren't appealing at all to the point of becoming tiresome. It's a shame though - Brian Cage isn't bad he's simply no longer needed. The biggest flaws about machines? They can't adapt without assistance.
Tumblr media
I feel really sorry for doing this. I don't want to cut the guy - he's a great athlete who gets wrestling and can be a good spokesman for disabled sportsmen yet those eye issues are frightening and every match I'm worried he'll go completely blind. It's exactly why we've not seen much of him since - 10 surgeries is not looking great (I'm also sorry for the puns) and it sucks because of how well he did against Cody. Even if he were healthy who would he be slotted against? Pac because of a Brit Vs Brit scenario? What about Miro to stand up to bullying? He's a curious what-if but sadly what is right is for him to step away from being a competitor and focus on staying healthy.
Tumblr media
Well well this must shock a few people and I know what some are thinking - if I was going to put a high-profile talent, like I did with Jon Moxley last year, why not Cody instead of Adam Page? It's fairly simple - Cody gets the business. Adam Page doesn't. Cody is slowly turning into a uniquely interesting heel who is going to be the guy everyone wants to see lose. Adam Page is a guy we've waited to see win and yet when it counts he has faltered at the critical hurdle. Now, even if he were to win, to gain it all, it's going to look fragile in the eyes of the rising talent and established newcomers. Adam Page had to be booked as unstoppable BEFORE the All-Out PPV and instead he loses his title shot, he loses with a group of people who are regarded as losers (even though only one of them has a negative score), and he's had a gimmick for the entire duration of AEW as being a simpering drunk who can't focus on getting it done. The Dark Order should of transformed into the Dark Riders, Adam Page their leader, and gone on a winning streak together. Guess not. Oh and I'm aware since starting, we've seen his return from a 2 month absence to win yet another title shot. Is this the one? Let's say it is. Then what? He's going to feud with people who will need to be kept strong so the wins over them matter more because this is it - Adam Page cannot lose anymore. How on earth the fans are behind him still is beyond me but then they like Jon Moxley or Orange Cassidy and who am I to argue about their tastes? They even liked him OVER Moxley! For me though it's too late to justify and the ship is sinking even if it makes port. It cannot be reparied or sail to new lands. Adam Page is a lost cause who still has enough of a map to chart the next few months but years? No. He's not the future of AEW. He's the shining example of what you don't do to a talent people had expectations of being the future. Adam Page is a memory of what AEW was before it became big-time and as long as he's on top it'll never break into the next level of popularity.

RFA + V as Senior Citizens
requested: by anonymous
a/n: this is?? a super cute ask?? totally seems like the sequel to an old MC lmao
warnings: n/a
-young mod alex
Tumblr media
Jumin
-distinguished gentleman through and through
-he’s the type of man that ages gracefully, i hc him to look kind of like eugenes dad (for anyone who watches the try guys)
-he’s faithful to his spouse until the day he dies, and provides the best care for his children, especially supporting them no matter what their passions are
-even though physically the age still has taken a toll on him, the crows feet and laugh lines only prove that he’s led a good life
-he doesn’t believe in “old people activities”
-would rather die than play bingo, he does however enjoy the odd game of mahjong, and even the occasional board game, but only when he’s playing with his kids (however he’s ruthless and doesn’t go easy on them)
-he teaches the kids how to play chess
-his sense of fashion never changes, always sporting a crisp suit and his classic striped dress shirt
-he starts collecting italian shoes as a hobby once he reaches 60, and he’s never been so proud of a collection
-resigns as CEO and passes on the company not to his children, but to the most qualified prospect, changing his ideas on nepotism, now wholeheartedly believing in hard work and working your way up
-you can see the change in him post marrying you, as more and more magazines claim he’s gone “soft” in his old age, but in reality he doesn’t fear the public eye and although sometimes he struggles with emotional blocks, with you by his side he can handle anything
Jaehee
-she’s the anime grandma that chases the troublemakin’ young’uns out of her shop with a broom
-very wholesome old lady, she never gives up her cafe, and although Jumin offers to help her expand her business, she refuses, insisting that she wants it to be family owned
-she teaches your guys’ kids and grandkids how to bake, and at first she seems like she has no patience, trying to discipline them, but you catch her smiling at your first grandchild, a 3 year old boy who's hands are covered with flour as he claps vigorously, childish wonder as flour poofs in a magical cloud
-she always continues to love and support zens work and shows, but her interests start to move on once she reaches her late forties
-she had to stop drinking coffee because her blood pressure got dangerously high, so she moves on to drinking tea
-having a little garden in your backyard where the two of you grow different flowers and herbs to make and experiment with new tea leaves
-she’s sweet, but also retains her businesslike formality and becomes a respected member of the World for Women Entrepreneurs Organization, which she puts down as the first members of the RFA party every year
-cute old lesbian couple, going to every pride parade together and holding hands on the street because, even though she may have aged, her judo skills haven't
Yoosung
-sweet old man, the kind that will be there for every single family reunion, holiday, birthday and will spoil the kids rotten
-he buys a rocking chair to put on the porch, first ironically but he’s quick to change his mind, buying another one in order for the two of you to sit outside together, watching from the porch as your kids play in the yard
-he never loses his passion for cooking, and all the neighborhood kids, even if they aren't your own, line up for Grandpa Kims cooking
-the two of you essentially adopt the whole street of kids
-he stops dying his hair blonde, letting the brown grow back in
-he loves telling the story of how the two of you met, to the point where your kids will groan whenever he starts talking
-never really stops playing video games, and of course teaches all your guys’ kids how to play, however he gets extremely disappointed when your youngest chooses books over games (in a joking way)
-he’s the kind elder that might never really have “wisdom” but he’ll always make you feel better if you have a problem
-by the time the two of you reach 70, your house has become a place for stray animals and kids, not wanting anyone to feel the loneliness that he had when he was younger
Seven
-he never really gets past his trauma, although living with it becomes easier
-saeyoung never loses his childish sense of humor and happiness, making his the strangest elder on the block
-he’s the one all the kids want to have ice cream with
-he retires fairly early compared to the rest, saying that he needed time to focus on his family and on his life for once
-he ages well, but makes the biggest deal out of it when his hairline starts receding
-because of stress, his hair starts greying early, and he refuses to leave the bunker for a week straight, you having to coax his dramatic ass out by hiding all the HBC
-has crippling back pain and has to start using a cane by his mid forties. of course, everyone in the rya makes fun of him for it, but he just waves it threateningly at yoosung, laughing along
-takes daily walks with you to the park, over the lake and bridge, around the cherry blossom tree and back home
-he strives to be there for his children and grandchildren, loving and supporting them in a way his parents never did
-continues to play pranks and crack jokes throughout his life
-every wedding anniversary he decorates the bunker like a space station and you dance to every frank sinatra song ever recorded
-on your 60th wedding anniversary you take him to KARI (Korean Aerospace Research Institute) to look around, inspect the models, check calculations and try the zero gravity machine, and he cries
Zen
-does this man age? not necessarily
-he never stops acting, continuing to rise as televisions most popular actor, but in the end he moves back to theatre, where his passion truly lies
-you quit as his manager at some point to go follow your dreams, and he lets you know that he’s with you every step of the way no matter what
-he doesn’t become more humble as he ages, and can often be seen telling his kids about his amazing adventures from when he was younger
-his laugh lines do get incredibly deep, which he struggles with for a while until you finally step up and tell him that all it means is that he lived well, that he had a good time on this godforsaken planet and that he had a few good laughs
-the energy is broken when you poke your finger in his laugh line, giggling to yourself
-he loosens up on the strict diet, letting himself eat more sweets and fatty foods, but his stance on exercising stays the same
-the storyteller of the family, always calling the grandkids out to the backyard to tell them incredible stories of monsters and knights in shining armor and the beautiful princess
-domesticity out the roof
-doesn’t actually officially retire, but leaves the industry while he’s ahead, getting to enjoy his last few decades surrounded by a family he chose to make
-surprisingly he takes up crochet, likes the meticulous design and patience needed for it, even though he has none, its a good way to teach himself to be more patient
-refuses a cane and or walker his whole life and would “never be caught dead in one”
-at some point he lets his hair grow out all the way, not leaving the rat tail, rather just having long hair
-because of his good genes and extreme self care, he doesn’t lose much of his hair, to which he is grateful to. those wrinkles though....
V
- V, starts losing his sight because of age: ah shit here we go again
-he’s kind, the type of senior that will always help someone out, and picks up trash off of the ground
-volunteers at the local garden, helping with the sunflowers in particular
-never stops painting, insisting that he must paint you and any possible children at every stage of yours and their lives
-the trauma of Rikas abuse left him scarred, but he copes with it, going to therapy until the day he eventually dies
-cute old married couple number two, its impossible to go anywhere without hearing “V and his spouse,” the two of you are a package deal, his life would never have been the same without you, and you would never want to be anywhere else except besides him
-as similar of age as you guys may be to the RFA, the two of you absolutely adopt them, and as all your families expand, V makes it his mission to invite everyone Jumin and his spouse, Jaehee with hers etc etc and their respective children and children spouses,, grandchildren,,,
-he doesn’t talk about his past much, but is always willing to listen to the younguns problems and impart his knowledge
-the older he gets, the more sweaters he owns. is also partial to wearing suspenders over said sweaters
-he begins to fall in love with the environment the older he gets, ultimately starting multiple foundations to save the bees, oceans and various endangered species
-becomes a UN ambassador for a good few years, but resigns due to wanting to get back to his family and passions
-after marrying you he becomes quite content with his life, and he doesnt majorly change in any way

Writing Our Own Stories (Chapter 6)
Summary: It’s been five years since Rumplestiltskin was banished from Storybrooke and no one knew what had happened to him. That was until Regina got a call from someone asking how she could transfer the remains of her step-brother from Storybrooke to Scotland. Canon until Rumple’s banishment. [Eventual Rumbelle but towards the end.]
In this chapter, Neal tries to find a loophole and we finally learn who it was that saved Rumplestiltskin when he was banished from Storybrooke.
Note: Thank you to everyone who nominated Emily for Best OC in this years TEAs. Thank you for the love! As my thanks, I'll be updating this story with a few more scenes from her.
Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, Chapter 5
[AO3] [FFN]
Chapter 6
New York, sometime during the First Curse
Neal was getting in over his head. Why on earth would he even entertain the idea of guardianship for a child when he himself was a train wreck?
But there he was at the midtown library of New York, looking over the laws of this realm, trying to see if he had a chance of raising Emily as her guardian. The girl was all alone, after all. He had asked around, even to some of the police he knew...there was no report of any missing girl. Jake, a friend he had in the force, said he'd keep an eye out but so far no one was looking for the girl, no one wanted her.
"Look," began Jake over the phone when Neal had called him for the umpteenth time. "I think it's best for the girl if you just take her in. No one's looking for her, I'd say social services will side with you on this."
"With my RAP sheet," fired back Neal. "Do you honestly think social services is going to let me take care of this girl?"
"Show them how you care," said Jake. "Look, Neal, so far you've been on the mends from what I can see. No more breaking in and stealing cars, no more shoplifting. You actually have a roof over your head...this girl might just be yet another one of those things to get your life back on track. Not to mention her name starts with E and M."
"Not funny," mumbled Neal. "Just let me know."
"Think about it," said Jake. "From what you've told me, that girl has no one else...you can't seriously want her to go into the system, or back into it if that's where she came from." He paused. "She's taken a liking to you and vice versa. I'm sure there's some way you can get legal custody of her."
And that's how Neal found himself in the library pouring over legal books on adoption. He looked over at Emily who was beaming with a stack of books right in front of her. She had been excited when Neal carried the stack over to her earlier, telling her that they'll be in the library for quite some time.
So far the girl hasn't complained. Now that she was engaging in conversation more, Neal could tell the hint of an accent from her speech. Whoever her parents were, or whoever raised her, was not someone who were from around here.
Neal smiled as he watched her read. She seemed to devour every word and the way her eyes scanned through the pages made Neal swell with pride a little that he was able to make this little girl smile despite whatever she's been through.
A small cough brought him out of his thoughts and Neal turned to see an older, Chinese man standing next to him. "I'm sorry to interrupt. But the librarian told me that you've checked out most of the law text and I was wondering if I could borrow the volumes about Business."
"Oh sure," replied Neal, gathering the books the man needed.
"Thank you," replied the elderly man. "I'm putting up a herbal shop and wanted to make sure everything was in order…"
"Not from around here?" asked Neal.
"Hong Kong before New York," replied the man. "Before that? Well you won't believe me if I told you."
"I would probably say the same to you," said Neal. "Neal Cassidy."
"Li Yao," replied the elder man. He motioned to the Emily. "Your daughter?"
"Trying to be her guardian," corrected Neal. "Like you, I'm trying to get things in order."
"I wish you the best of luck then," replied Mr. Yao and headed off to read on another table. The elder man couldn't shake off the feeling that he has seen the boy before but brushed it aside. He went ahead and made sure his shop was in no danger of being shut down by the legal system of this realm. Once he was satisfied he made to return the book but found Neal and the girl had gone.
Mr. Yao went and returned the books he had but as he passed by the table the two had used, his eyes caught on the fairytale book left open and something clicked inside him. He quickly headed to one of the isolated reading rooms of the library… a place no one seems to really wander off into for no apparent reason...or because it was cloaked with his magic.
He found the book that had appeared a decade or so ago and turned to the right page. A drawing of a boy with short brown hair clinging to a scrawny older man with shoulder length brown hair. He waved his hand over the drawing and soon a paper of the same drawing of the boy appeared on his hand. He concentrated harder and the image of the boy began to age until the the drawing of the boy resembled that of Neal Cassidy.
Mr Yao placed the drawing he had used magic on right next to the book. The man, Neal Cassidy, had also came from another realm. The man himself had implied it so earlier. Not only was he from the Enchanted Forest but he was also the reason why the Dark Curse was cast in the first place. Neal Cassidy was Baelfire. He was Rumplestiltskin's son. He was the son of the Dark One.
"Jared there's really no point," said Emily to the person on the other end of the line and Rumple sighed as he heard his daughter's voice from the other room. "I'd rather join my father to America than spend it bored in a useless award ceremony when they're just going to-"
Rumple swore that her friend Jared must have cut her off and for good reason. Emily was graduating with top honors and was being convinced by Jared to deliver the address on behalf of her fellow students to the institution they spent a couple of years studying in.
Emily was smart and a good student but she should be the last person you'd ask to deliver a speech, especially if she had her way...it'll turn to one big speech against the administration and how they lacked in almost every aspect.
"Yes well I'm sure Dean Masterson will be relieved not to see me attending," replied Emily. "Oh so this is all because they want my father there? Yeah well they didn't convince him to speak, why in heaven's name do they think I will?"
Rumple chuckled. Technically that never happened but the workings of magic was truly remarkable. Mr. Yao had explained that the curse had given everyone that was brought by the curse from the Enchanted Forest to the Land Without Magic new lives, including family history and educational attainment. What was even more remarkable is that magic had reworked the memories of people that could be involved...the history of Maine for example, had the foundation of the town of Storybrooke even in their records.
It was the same with the university in Scotland that apparently R. Gold graduated from, with some people even commenting that they had taken classes with him, trying to discover his secretive first name, even though Rumplestiltskin knew that to be a work of fiction.
But he himself, if he tried, would recall moments in campus...studying with professors and even goofing around with other men, drinking alcohol. It was bizarre in a sense but magic was magic...it was the same when he had regained his memories when Emma Swan had arrived in Storybrooke.
"It's not like I'm not going to get my degree if I don't attend," fired back his daughter. "That's why the university has graduate in-absentia. So please will you-"
"Hello Mr. Wilcot," began Rumplestiltskin as he took Emily's phone from her hand and took over the call. "I believe my daughter has made her position quite clear."
"Sir," stuttered the young man. "I-well I was just-"
"Asked to try, I would assume and I understand," replied Rumple with a sly smile to his daughter. "Please do send our regards to whoever convinced you to even attempt to persuade my daughter to do anything she doesn't want. They apparently do not know her very well...like yourself."
"I-" Rumple ended the call and tossed the phone to his daughter.
"And that had nothing to do with the fact that he asked me-" began Emily with a glare.
"Of course not," replied Rumple with a smile. "Your social life is not my concern...especially after you made it perfectly clear the last time you had a lad over."
"Oh you mean Alex who ran out of the house when you entered the room with a gun?" asked Emily, her eyes narrowing slightly. "I thought you liked Jared."
"Yes, well if he thinks he can decide things for you, I retract that statement," said Rumple with a wave of his hand and Emily had to bite back a smile, because she was still a bit annoyed but that gesture that made her reminisce the days when he would show her a spell or a trick with real and proper magic...the one at his disposal.
"I cannot comprehend how you do that," began Emily with a sigh as her father gave her a confused look. "You could be so aggravating and annoying one second and be completely adorable a second after."
"Adorable?" asked Rumple with a raised eyebrow.
"You were twirling your hand," explained Emily with a smile. She raised her phone. "Maybe a little light show to make up for ruining my chance at a boyfriend."
"Are you asking me to show you magic because I told that boy the truth?" asked Rumple, taken aback that apparently he had angered her slightly at his gesture. "I thought you wanted to end that conversation."
"Yes, but I had it under control," replied Emily.
"Uh-huh," replied Rumple with a smile. "And that particular shade of red on your cheeks doesn't help me make my point at all."
"Papa!" called Emily as Rumple all but ran out of the room, his daughter not far behind armed with a pillow.
Somewhere in the Land Without Magic, just a few miles away from Stoyrbrooke during the Second Curse
Rumplestiltskin felt numb. This wasn't how death felt like when he had killed himself and his father not too long ago. Then again, that had transpired in a place with magic. This time it had happened in the Land Without Magic...maybe death was different here.
Awareness slowly crept back to his mind and he was suddenly aware that he wasn't on the hard ground. Actually it felt soft...comfortable actually. It took him a couple of minutes to finally realize he was laying flat on his back on a bed…
His eyes shot open to see an unfamiliar room. He tried lifting his head but that small act took up energy that his body didn't have and he fell right back down.
"Easy," said a voice and Rumple's eyes widened when an older man came to his line of sight. "Your body still needs time to recover even with the light healing spell I could manage."
Healing spell? Rumple studied the man in front of him and it dawned on him that he was somehow familiar...never came across the man before he had disappeared from the Enchanted Forest but the man was known...well any person able to transform into a dragon was someone Rumplestiltskin the Dark One needed to be familiar with.
"You're.." began Rumple, his voice hoarse and low.
"Yes," came the reply. "I was driving aimless in the forest when I saw you collapse."
"You were heading to Storybrooke?" asked Rumple, his mind going into overdrive trying to access his current situation and how he could escape if the man in front of him decided to turn hostile.
"Actually," began the man. "I think my magic was leading me to you...to help you."
All of his thoughts stopped and he stared at the man. "Help me?"
The man nodded. "You must know who I am if you freely talked about magic right in front of me."
"I know who you are Rumplestiltskin." replied the man. "I am Li Yao, if it's any consolation to you. I know how names have power and you would want to be on even ground."
"That's not your real name," whispered Rumple and Mr Yao smiled. He should know well not to try and deceive the Dark One.
"So you do know who I am," began Mr Yao. "I chose the name when I had arrived in this realm..but back in the Enchanted Forest people knew me as 'The Dragon'."
