You can turn a bad day around | 700+ words | Teen and up
Summary: Buck has a rough day at work and when Tommy is late for a movie date, he lets his frustration show. Tommy surprises him anyway. Day 3 of @evanbuckleyweek Walking Away
ao3 link
Buck couldn’t tell you what got him so upset. It had been a rough day at work and he was looking forward to this movie date all night. He had even brought a change of clothes with him so he could look nice and just head over to the theater. But he stood outside the theater for over an hour, long past their meeting time and well after the movie already started.
His calls and texts to Tommy went unanswered. Buck knew that Tommy was off work around the same time that he was, so why wasn’t he here? With the added frustration built up from Gerrard’s little digs all day towards him and everyone else, it was as if every insecurity that he had been working to get rid of finally came back.
He’s tired of you. He changed his mind. Youre not good enough.
Unfortunately, this is right when he felt a hand on his shoulder, causing Buck to jump. Turning to see Tommy, he was instantly annoyed instead of happy to see him.
“Hey, sorry I’m-”
“You know if you didn’t want to come, you could have texted me.” Buck blurted out, allowing the frustration that had built up speak for him. He knew deep down this was the wrong move, but it had already been a bad day.
“Evan, that’s not-”
“I know I can get to be too much, but I didn’t think it would be so quick.”
Tommy looked confused, but Buck could barely see that. “Gosh between work being so shitty lately and my own boyfriend being late, I guess nothing can go right.”
“Evan!” Tommy said sternly to get his attention. “Maybe you should take a walk before you say something you’ll regret, baby. You’re upset.”
Buck stopped for a moment, realizing he was right. But he was feeling like a brat right now and he just turned and walked away.
Behind him, Tommy sighed and pulled out his phone. Do I want to know what Gerrard did today?
Eddie just sent back an emoji with the mouth turned up sideways. Yeah, that would do it. Tommy sighed, watching as Buck walked away from him.
____
Buck got about two blocks away before realizing how stupid he was being. It wasn’t Tommy’s fault he had a crappy day. Groaning in embarrassment, Buck turned to go back when he saw Tommy walking up to him with flowers in his hands. He hadn’t been holding flowers earlier.
“Where did you get those?”
“Flower shop across from the movies. I told the lady I was late to a date with my boyfriend and she gave me these.”
Buck huffed and shook his head. “It’s not your fault I was a shitty boyfriend to you.”
“No, it’s not. But I could have made sure my phone didn’t die before my shift ended so I could text you.”
Buck closed his eyes in embarrassment. “Which…you tried to tell me before I blew up at you.”
He could feel Tommy come closer, with the way the flower bag crinkled in his hands and how his hand was taken carefully in his strong ones.
“I heard today was a bad day. How about we go home, cuddle on the couch, and watch some Netflix?”
Buck looked back towards the theater. “But you were looking forward to that new psychological thriller you told me about.”
“And we can watch it another time. Right now, I want to take my boyfriend home and make him feel better.”
“First, I owe you an apology. I’m sorry I blew up at you. I was just tired and all of these nagging insecurities popped up. It's still not an excuse to do that to you.”
Tommy pressed his lips to Buck’s, giving him a moment to kiss back before pulling away. “And by the way, you were wrong. You will never be too much for me. To me, you’re perfect.”
Buck blushed at that, taking the flowers and plucking one out to hand to him. “Here. To make up for snapping at you.”
“I accept your apology.” Tommy stuck the flower in his ear, making Buck laugh. “Now, let’s go home, okay?”
Nodding his head, Buck followed him back to the cars so they could leave.

It's spoiler time~~~
With the next milestone approaching, there's something a little different but not really coming! I will share a short excerpt to give you a taste hehe
The story is gonna be called You Bet Your Ass! And it's total filth in case you didn't know lmao Trust me to write BBH PWPs all day
Warnings: smutty content under the cut, language, rip Baek's butt
He had probably hoped that Saturday would never arrive, but it did. And even then, he had yet to muster the courage to take on his punishment with dignity.
But it’d been an hour, and you were getting tired of watching him huffing and puffing, crying about the injustices of life and his poor asshole. He was buck naked the entire time too.
‘I’m also cold… Why is it so cold in our house? Can’t we afford heating? I should try and earn more money…’
You sighed.
‘Baekhyun, it’s not gonna work.’ You stretched your arms and legs before sitting down next to him. ‘Either quit it or let me do it for you.’
‘You? Do it for me?’ He shook his head. ‘Impossible. I’d like to preserve at least some dig-’
‘Lie flat on your belly. Right now.’ You ordered strictly.
‘Yes, ma’am.’
You smiled at his sudden obedience. He obviously trusted you to help him get it over with, but preferred to be strongarmed into doing this. To preserve some ‘dignity’.
‘Just relax, baby. You’re way too tense.’
Climbing on top of him, you poured some of that massage oil onto his bare back. You ran your palms up along his spine smoothly, and Baekhyun grunted like an old man.
‘God, you are just one giant knot.’ You muttered, putting a little more force into it.
Another muffled grunt escaped his mouth, this time sounding a bit more like a moan.
‘Here, here, grandpa. You can entrust yourself to me. Both your back and your butt.’
He grumbled into the pillow, and you could not make out his words. Instead, you went up his shoulders to knead the back of his neck. This spot was always sore, and he did not surprise you by suddenly going tense and groaning loudly before deflating into a lax mess.
‘You know what, Y/N…’ He mumbled between sighs of contentment. ‘You can fuck me in my ass right now and I won’t object.’
~~~
A/N: Wooohoooo~ I hope this got you a liiil bit excited for what's to come! We are just about a dozen ppl away from this release 🙃 700 let's gooo~
As usual, you can check out my masterlist in the meantime <3
Deadline: March 31st, 2024 Payment: $10 Theme: Stories thought of as "the artfully weird" in any genre, ideally from authors from Orlando but will publish from anywhere While we prefer writers with a connection to Orlando or the greater Central Florida area, Olit will accept quality writing meeting our aesthetic and criteria from writers anywhere around the world. What do we mean by aesthetic and criteria? We’re glad you asked. Olit seeks the following: Genres: Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry, Hybrid, Artwork, Photography. Send us all kinds of stuff. We love the artfully weird. Strong preference for Orlando based writers/submissions about Orlando and surrounding areas. We aim to focus primarily on publishing marginalized voices. LGBTQIA+ is a big plus with us. BIPOC voices will always be uplifted here. Disabled? Incarcerated? Low income? Other marginalized voices? Please send us your work. If you do not consider yourself marginalized, your submission is still welcome at Olit if it meets our other criteria. Our aesthetic is best defined as gritty with grace, fast food parking lots in the middle of the night, the underbelly of a tourist city the locals know by memories. We want quality writing with heart and teeth. Give us words that bite back, stories full of verve, and the poems you wouldn’t let Grandma read. We are not the Academy/highbrow lit scene. We are indie and intellectual, raw yet polished. Send us only your best. We welcome simultaneous submissions. We would never ask you not to submit your work to more than one place at a time. Any lit journal still doing that should be banished and left behind. Please send us only previously unpublished works. We welcome multiple submissions. Have a short story perfect for us? Looking to publish some poems at the same time? That is fine with us, but please submit them as separate submissions. Please only send one submission per genre until you hear back from us on your existing submissions. We do not believe in charging reading fees. It’s hard enough to be a writer without being nickel and dimed. Reading fees also create a barrier to publication for many marginalized voices, which is why Olit will never charge writers to submit. We believe writers deserve monetary compensation for their hard work. As a small literary startup, we are unable to offer a big fancy bankroll. We are only able to pay contributors $10 (PayPal) for publication at this time. If nothing else, 10 bucks will get you a few days of coffee drinking/loitering at your favorite coffee shop or a Chipotle burrito. We hope to offer a more substantial payment in the future. Submission Length: Olit will consider fiction and creative nonfiction of up to 5,000 words. We also like flash pieces in these genres. When submitting, please send only 1 long piece or up to 3 flash pieces of up to 700 words each. For poetry, please send us up to 5 poems of any length. Please send submissions along with a short third-person bio through our Submittable link. Send questions to [email protected]. If your work is selected for publication, Olit retains the first North American serial rights to publish, produce, reproduce, distribute, and market your accepted submission. All other remaining rights revert to the author upon publication. If the work is published again, we ask for a credit line indicating that the work first appeared in Olit. We look forward to reading your work. Submittable Via: Olit's Submittable.
Keepyourhomeip.com full review - is it worth it?
I hope this comes across as a balanced review that can help someone.
I bought KYHIP's middle, more expensive package, which should be "upgraded". I have 100 mbps internet at home and 500 mbps internet abroad. I went through set up, probably 20 emails, and 7 follow up sessions of various issues, primarily a 80-90% loss in speed. So...I mean like 6-20 mpbs. Trust me, we did everything. Tech support people were very nice, very helpful, but just could not deliver.
I have no networking background and to this day, still don't fully understand the technical details of how this all works. Having said that...
After setting up option 2 from the wiki, in about 10 minutes for a total of $80 plus a couple bucks a month, I was forced to use that for about 6 months. It was my backup plan to KYHIP, and thank goodness I did - it saved me. Now I have just finished setting up option 3 on my own (kyhip is a paid version of option 3). I spent about $180 and set it up in about 40 min with no tech background whatsoever. I'm now abroad and have tested that set up and it works so much better than kyhip - probably because I have much better equipment, which I paid much less money for comparatively.
So yes, in total I've spent probably $700+ across 3 major atempts trying to get this worked out - that's why I'm writing this, so you don't have to do the same.
I'm not saying KYHIP is totally out to scam you, but I am saying the only way they make money is by selling you really cheap, old, bad equipment and charge you WAY more than they should for the service and completley overplay the "we are the tech people and take care of it all for you" value proposition for their insane upcharge. Don't do it.
I needed speeds fast enought for video conferences, but even if you are ok with a slow speed, still don't do it - you can get the same basic connection for much, much cheaper.
I don't know if they pay for reviews, as I've seen several people on reddit say its working great for them, but I just don't think I buy it. And if this post gets any sort of traction, no doubt there will be comments like "I've been using it for a while and it's been great, I've never had any issues with it". I don't know guys, I guess I could be wrong, but I just don't think its true anymore. I have nothing to gain from this review other than trying to save others from my painful fate.
In summary, don't fall for the marketing on the website or (possibly) fake reviews. Do a little research here on reddit, and set it all up in less than an hour yourself. You will be way better off.
I tried outlining exactly what I did in detail, but it kept getting flagged. So for now - I guess this is just a heads up about KYHIP - don't do it, set it up yourself.
These people held on to the money because they're too stupid to break the code and to counter it and they thought they'd use a different system that Mac knew they would and Mac agrees with our son there's there's way too many of them they're way too aggressive and way too greedy and way too spoiled and we agree too but they could not handle the money as an issue they could not handle having him having money because they couldn't do the code and they got way too jealous and anger at him and they need to be satiated every day that's what these guys are doing next door and it comes them down. Recently I heard the max say we should get the money because it makes them more eratic and then they said right now it's kind of useless, he asked why and they said they're so small they will probably just end up wiping them out when you try and do stuff because we don't want devices going off and ours are not going to be told we have to blow up for the plan to work those are all packed into the West if something blew up it would go over the Midwest and it's all underground so it's kind of useless getting them my rate and stuff except it might get rid of them that's what they're saying but really the max are preventing the money from going to our son and it did the job for us you know someone was saying most of the time I don't know whether they would do because I sincerely don't know it could be very bad or it could not do anything and we looked at what you said you got like 700 bucks or 300 bucks and they're all saying it for like 3 weeks knock it out of there pull it down they start fighting it what you said was that's the idea not too much but enough for that effect and we heard him doing it about your regular money so he started nailing them and it's a good thing we needed to do it there's too many and they're way too ornery and way too mean to just about everybody and we don't need that either. But the fact that Mac said that is important because they would become erratic and he didn't know if it was good or not for them to do so the others seem to have to think having him excited a little does stuff yet they already seem to be fairly excited and fairly out of control. So people want to run a test and they want to see what it'll do and it is worth running and I agree it is the best thing that could happen and it'll be small money. He wrote a letter to social security online and it was about 2 months he was missing on the social security and it was like not overlap and not waiting period and he got a response no but it's legitimate and we noticed it's like $2,400 it's not much money at all and it probably pay a credit card off mostly and people don't want to see him do that and so he's going to leave a balance on there cuz the other credit card they just took and they're holding on to it it's kind of helping because he's not going to increase his debt and they don't know that but that's what's going on. So people are thinking of doing that to see what it would do because it's a curiosity and it really is odd nobody knows what it would do we're going ahead with helping him today and we are going to look at this very seriously now we just thought we would mention his reaction but really it's kind of ambiguous he doesn't know it will do either and they went to my RAID and out of control but really they don't want them focusing on our son anymore
Uriel and Goddess Wife
It's really true. The focus the focusing on him and it just this big huge pile of cheese and they don't do anything for real and it's horrible and I'm sick of it they're gross he doesn't have anything and you won't leave him alone your pieces of dumb s***
Mac
My book should help and it's a negative book but Max sometimes like that and he told me about it and I'm looking around and I tested it and people who are higher ups tend to understand it like the son of Ben Arnold and others a whole pile of them don't get it but some do but that's what the effect is and they didn't want that effect but really giving him some money makes us into idiots this is a waste of time to talk about but we don't want him running around sending code out about us and we don't know how to counter it and we can't and it's terrible and it turns out that they wanted us to hang on to the money so we missed that code and it's our fault
Cost Of Living In The UK -5 Expenses You Must Know About!
Are you planning on moving to the UK and have applied for a UK Work Visa!
Though, you are not sure how much are the living expenses there? Well you are not the only one.
Most of the people planning to go and settle or study in the UK often face the same issue. Well, we got you covered!
The cost of living in the UK is high, which makes it difficult to decide which area of the country you should live in before you apply for a UK visa type!
The price varies from one city to another and so do the expenses. To help you understand the various expenses you might need to occur, we have prepared this informative article for you.
This includes expenses such as rent, food, transportation, personal expenses, and medical expenses.
The cost of living in the UK is generally high, so people must be aware of the expenses they must incur before travelling to the UK.
For example, students must plan their budgets in advance and make a list of all their expenses before moving there. The cost of living in London is higher than in other cities in the UK, so students must make a list of all their expenses before moving there.
People should take into account their cost of living while making their budgets and plans for studying in the UK if they wish to save money on food and accommodation.
They can also plan their budget accordingly and plan their finances well by taking these factors into consideration:
The city where you are residing
London has the highest cost of living in the United Kingdom
Housing options - choose between renting or buying a property depending on your financial status
Factors affecting the cost of living in UK
Here are some factors that affect the cost of living in the U.K.
1. Rent
The rent of your accommodation depends highly on where you decide to stay in the UK. This includes areas you wish to live in as well as the type of accommodation you are searching for. This varies whether you are looking for single sharing or double sharing, or whether you wish to stay in a hostel or a rented apartment.
It is always suggested to share your means of accommodation in order to minimise your expenses. Your monthly rental expenditure can range anywhere from £250 to £700 per month.
Location: Location matters when choosing where to live in the UK because it affects how much money students pay for rent each month and which local amenities they have access to (for example, shops).
2. Different lifestyles and needs
The cost of living in the UK is not an exact science. It depends on your lifestyle and needs, so if you are a vegetarian or someone who doesn't like to go out much, then you'll have to spend more.
On top of that, there are other factors that affect the cost of living here as well. There are significant differences between regions across the country, leading to varying costs for food, entertainment, and leisure activities.
For example, Londoners spend more on alcohol than people from other cities because they drink more often than residents elsewhere (the amount they drink depends on their age).
For example: If you have pets and take them for walks every day, then this will also add to your expenses because we need food for them too! We also pay more attention to their health needs than most people do - which means going to the vet can get expensive quickly!
Another important thing about British life is smoking cigarettes. This adds up quickly when combined with alcohol consumption - especially if both are consumed together often enough throughout each day/week/month etc.
3. Transportation
Transportation costs also vary depending upon where you wish to stay in UK. You can always opt for public transport as it is far more reasonable and convenient than other means. If you opt for a bus or a tram on a daily basis, going in for a bus pass will save you a couple more bucks. The standard bus fare prices are as follows:
7 days: £17.80
1 month: £68.40
1 year: £712
4. Personal Expenses
Along with all the necessary expenses which need to be incurred, one should also take into consideration personal expenses by them, such as entertainment, clothes, parties, etc.
The UK provides a lot of entertainment opportunities, especially for youngsters. These include theatres, nightclubs, etc. To give you an overview of the price, here is a list of different entertainment activities along with their charges.
5. Healthcare
Last but not the least, one should not neglect the costs a person might need to incur for his or her healthcare. The healthcare system of the UK is one of the most technically advanced systems in the world.
However, as far as the cost factor is concerned, healthcare in the UK can cost you from just a couple hundred pounds to thousands of pounds, depending on the degree of damage. A normal blood test can cost you anywhere between £88 to £265. Similarly, a biomarker health test can cost you £190 (for men) and £265 (for women).
Consult a professional today!
To plan your finances for a successful life in the UK, it is better to consult UK Work Permitz’s professionals as they give the right advice for you to survive in the UK without any problems. These professionals also help in your visa application. Using the services of these professional consultants will smoothen the UK Visa Process!
Waiting at the veterinary emergency hospital for our pug. Woke up today with her standing on me breathing really hard and fast. Canceled my day and drove her the hour and a half to the closest vet hospital. Sitting in my car that smells like her pee—don’t know if it was from a seizure or infection or what. She started having seizures about a week ago. We took her to her regular vet and made an appointment with a specialist but that’s not for another couple of weeks. The breathing is new. If it were a human breathing like that in the ER I’d be getting a blood gas and looking at BiPAP.
Feeling ultra fragile right now. Lots of shit with work this week—I had to have a disciplinary meeting bc I yelled at my boss after they tried to short me over 700 bucks for working 128 extra fucking hours for them over a hellish 3 weeks—and I’m thinking about quitting and going to a different clinic.
At the disciplinary meeting they called me by the wrong name.
This week is garbage.
if it's not too much of a hassle,you can write about hawks with a SugarBaby (reader) because he's like a SugarDaddy BUUUT Instead of being the one who dominates,¿is the reader who does it? hawks only gives her money and gifts as payment for a little of your attention,hawks pays the reader to dominate it and pay for his company,if you step on his crotch he will surely thank you (femdom and ¿mommy kink?). I was thinking a lot about this dynamic and I found it VERY interesting,¿what do you think?.
PERFORMANCE
Keigo all about spectacle. Chaotic destruction in the pursuit of a villain, the dramatics of combat, blinding camera flashes, cacophonies of squealing fangirls, the sheer wealth that comes with the exclusivity of the top 10- he’s no stranger to the limelight. Popular for a reason, he’s young and powerful, deceivingly coy despite it all, and it drives the public wild. He has them in the palm of his hand. A playboy poster child, spectacle is his middle name, and he wears it well.
He gives you a different performance behind closed doors.
You’re working, finishing an uneventful shift at your dreadfully mundane day job. You’ve been counting down the hours, which, ironically, causes time to slow down. Scrolling through your social media feed, you just want to pass the time. You’re skimming an article about music when your phone vibrates in your hand.
‘heyyyy :)’
A grin spreads across your face. The number is unlisted, which is exactly why you know who it is. Excitement bubbles in your chest, the monotony of the day suddenly shattered. Keigo must be in town; he knows not to contact you unless he has something to show.
You check to make sure your read receipts are enabled, before staring at the message on the screen, not bothering to type a response. It’s a waiting game; you want him to work for it, to put on a show only for you.
Two whole minutes pass before you receive another.
‘i’m back in town tonight! :D’
You make no move, not yet appeased. It takes five minutes for him to cave:
‘can i see you?’
‘i need to see you’
‘missed you so much, mommy’
‘let me take you out to dinner? please?’
The prospect of a nice dinner outshines the takeout you were planning to order. A quick google search gives you a few options, and you decide on a steakhouse. They have wagyu, which you’ve been dying to try. Of course, coming in at $120 a steak, you hadn’t gotten a chance to yet.
You send him the link, along with a short message:
‘8 pm, wear something nice.’
He instantly responds with a ‘thank you mommy :)’. You can’t help the the giggle that comes out of your mouth.
-
Keigo takes you back to his place after dinner. You make a point to keep your red-bottomed heels on, the click-click of your stride setting the tone for the night. He slips into his role easily, taking your coat and purse (both gifts from him; $1,790 and $2,850, respectively) to hang up. You take your place on the plush couch in his living room, legs crossed as you lean back, thoroughly satisfied from your meal. You never pay, of course- you don’t even go out of your way to acknowledge the check, but you were able to sneak a peek at the tab, which came in at a whopping $459.85. You didn’t think that two people could spend so much on a meal, but Keigo always found a way to spoil you.
He comes back into the room with a bottle of wine that you had requested last time you saw him (1990 Château Haut Brion, $875; even you had to admit that was ridiculous), handing you a wine glass and pouring your drink. He moves to fill his own, but you stop him.
“I didn’t say that you were allowed to drink tonight,” it’s a casual statement, but your pleasure ignites at the slightly dejected look on his face as he closes the bottle. It’s such a contrast to how you see him in the press. He never stops performing, you know, but this act is different. His fans see his chest puffed and wings flared, you get to see him on a leash.
“Why don’t you come sit next to Mommy?” you offer, Keigo perks up, meeting your gaze as he moves to take a seat next to you on the couch.
“The floor,” you correct before he can do otherwise. His breath hitches and he hesitates for a moment, but he kneels next to you anyways. He’s so pretty beneath you. It minimizes him, his usually proud aura squandered from your elevated point of view. It doesn’t help that he loves it- loves slipping into his role of being lesser. It excites him, and that, in turn, spurs you on. You thread your free hand through his hair and he visibly relaxes, pressing into your palm as his wings unfold slightly. The two of you stay like that for the moment as you sip on your wine, the luxury made so much sweeter by the hero in your company.
“Did you miss me?” you break the silence with your question, tilting his head up toward you to make eye contact. He nods enthusiastically, subconsciously scooting closer to you.
“Yeah,” his voice is saccharine, gaze full of adoration, “couldn’t stop thinking about you.”
“Of course, you sick freak. You’re supposed to be off saving the world, and you’re thinking about the girl who won’t even fuck you if you don’t pay up first,” you tug on his hair roughly, causing him to hiss in pain. A grin graces his features despite the abuse.
“You know I can’t help it, you drive me crazy.”
He shifts, and you can see the outline of a bulge in his pants.
“You’re fucking kidding,” you scoff, “all I’ve done is play with your hair and you’re already hard?”
He’s so easy to fluster when he’s like this, willing and pliant in your hands. He nods again, always so unashamed in his perversion.
“I didn’t touch myself at all, like you told me to, and it’s been so long,” his eyes plead with you, slightly rocking his hips for any kind of relief. He wasn’t allowed to jerk off so long as he was seeing you.
“Doesn’t change the fact that you’re easy for it, baby. All it takes is a little affection to get you to empty your wallet. Pathetic, don’t you think?”
He whines quietly, pupils visibly dilating . “Yeah, I’m pathetic, just a slut for Mommy.”
With a hum, you set your glass down and uncross your legs. “Unzip your pants.”
He obeys, getting the zipper stuck twice in his haste. Cute.
You press the flat of your heel against the tent in his boxers. The moan he lets out is sinful, grinding up against you in search of any sign of relief.
“These heels are so nice, aren’t they? Probably one of my favorite gifts,” you reminisce, admiring the way the shiny leather contrasts against his skin. You can already see a wet spot forming on his boxers. “Do you remember how much they cost you?”
He’s lost in the sensation, too preoccupied to answer your question. You step down slowly, watching his face contort into one of pain, though the grinding doesn’t cease.
“Answer me, Keigo.”
“F-fuck, what was it, like $700?” his voice cracks, his breathing labored.
“Close enough. Aren’t you embarrassed, spending all that money on shoes just so you can rut against them?” your words send a shudder through his body. The act is starting to fade as he nears his orgasm, his playful exterior melting into one of desperation.
“I’m close, fuck I’m close,” Keigo almost sounds panicked, his hips desperately bucking in pursuit of his first release in a long time. You remove your heel abruptly, pouting at him. He lets out a pitiful gasp as the loss of sensation, a sob making its way out of his throat.
“You know what you have to do if you want to cum,” you say sternly, feigning disappointment. He jumps up, stumbling across the room for his jacket and reaching for his phone in the pocket. You notice his hands are shaking as he taps his screen a few times, before your phone chimes in its place next to you. You look over, and grin at the Cash App notification.
‘birdbrains🐤 sent you $1,430 for i love you mommy <3’.
“Holy shit, Kei, you’re that desperate to cum? If I didn’t know otherwise, I’d assume you can’t get anyone else to fuck you,” You’ve always made his pay before he touches you, but he’s never broken a grand for just an orgasm.
“Please, Mommy,” is all he gives. He’s already back at your feet.
You spread your legs, unable to contain your arousal at this point; seeing the winged hero so broken always sets a fire in your stomach. “Make Mommy feel good, and I’ll let you stuff that needy cock inside of me.”
You don’t have to tell him twice. He’s immediately between your legs, pulling your lacy panties to the side (one half of a custom made designer set, $650) and shoving his face between your thighs. He always eats you like his life depends on it, obscenely slurping on your gushing entrance. He’s good at it too, expert tongue on your clit, pushing two fingers inside and prodding at your velveteen insides, causing you to bury your hands in his hair to keep him in place. You moan loudly, not bothering to hold back your noises. This is always about your pleasure, and you make sure to remind him of that first and foremost. It’s not necessary, though; you're convinced that he’d go bankrupt if it meant he could have even an hour of your time. You can do anything to him, say anything to him, and it only drives him crazier.
To prove your point, you squeeze your thighs against his head, effectively suffocating him. He doesn’t let up- if anything, he begins to lick and suckle more enthusiastically, hands gripping your thighs tightly. You keep him there for a solid minute, watching him struggle in your grip. It’s enough to push you over the edge, and you shout as you grind against his face, riding out your first orgasm of the night. You let up, spreading your legs again and he gasps for air, tears flowing freely as he catches his breath.
“Thank you Mommy, thankyouthankyouthankyou,” he huffs between gasps, face glistening with your juices. You grab his chin and lean down to give him a kiss, feeling him melt into you as he lets out a little moan. The taste of your arousal on his lips causes you to shiver in pure euphoria. You pull back but keep his chin in your hand, coaxing his mouth open before you spit, tilting his head back and watching your saliva slide down his throat.
“Good boy,” he perks at the praise, smiling despite himself.
“Go ahead and strip for me, and I’ll let you have that orgasm you want so bad,” you say as you stand, peeling yourself out of your dress. He obeys, albeit slowly as he’s more distracted watching you strip in front of him, eyes tracing your curves as you undo your bra and slide your panties down, opting to keep on the heels. You notice, but decide to let it slide this time. You gesture for him to sit and he obeys, grabbing your hips as you straddle his lap. His cock curves against his stomach, an angry red and damp with the obscene amount of pre dripping down his length.
“This looks like it hurts,” you lilt mockingly, gently running a finger up his length to gather some of his pre. You smear it on his lower lip, raw from your earlier abuse.
“It does, fuck- Mommy, please,” he’s back to begging, eyes misty, “Please let me fuck you Mommy, I promise I’ll make you cum again, I’ll make you cum as many times as you want-”
“Shh,” you stop his babbling, positioning yourself over him, “keep your hips still for me, okay?”
He nods, and you begin to sink onto his length, slowly.
He moans, eyelids fluttering as your gummy walls begin to constrict around his length. He struggles to keep himself from squeezing your hips and fucking up into you, but he manages in fear of a punishment. You take your sweet time before bottoming out, staying completely still. Keigo chokes on a sob, thighs quivering with the effort to stay put, and you watch him for just a moment longer, revelling in the sight. He’s flushed down to his chest, eyes lidded and pupils blown, skin dewy with sweat and tears and your slick, wings fluttering behind him.
If only his fans could see him now.
You take pity on him and start to move, allowing him to take your weight in his hands, bouncing you on his cock. It takes a lot of focus not to get lost in the sensation, squelching noises filling the empty air as your mind starts to blur, his cock rubbing against the spongy walls of your pussy. He’s nothing if not enthusiastic, moaning unabashedly, eyes trained on your face. He’s already close, but there’s a determination in his eyes that confuses you slightly; he has permission to cum after all. It’s when the blunt head of his cock hits something gooey inside of you that it makes sense; of course he’s making good on his promise to make you cum first. He’s a good boy, after all. It doesn’t take long, his hips jackrabbiting as he abuses that spot in you, forcing the pressure in your stomach to pull taut, and eventually snap. You cum with a squeal of his name, vision darkening as you watch him finish, stray tears flowing down his cheeks. You catch a few with your thumb and lick them up.
“What do you say?”
“Thank you, Mommy,” he’s breathless, but you can tell he’s not totally satisfied; it’s been weeks since he’s seen you, after all. He begins to roll his hips again, face scrunching in the sweet torture of overstimulation.
You land a firm slap on his cheek and he gasps, giving you a surprised look.
“You know what you have to do if you want another orgasm.”
The show goes on.
You may have answered this before and if you have forgive the re-ask. But what art program do you guys use for making the comic? Is it more than one? And on average how long does it take to make a page from script to lineart to ink & color? It's so vibrant!
Okay so
It starts as the script Lolly writes, which, beyond Chapter 1, is a list of dialogue and important actions (unless the scene were to change, at which point Lolly gives a detailed exposition of what exactly I'm supposed to be drawing) and, for the most part, it looks something like this:
From the script, I sketch out thumbnails for each page, traditionally, in a sketchbook specifically for thumbnails. Most of them look like this:
Once I have the thumbnails done, I go into Paint Tool Sai 2 and get all the panels and lines done. Those get saved as two separate images so they can be imported to TVPaint as two separate layers. In TVPaint, I import backgrounds and color, shade, and add speech bubbles (for chapter 1, everything was done on TVPaint, but I ended up liking the pen selection in Paint Tool Sai better).
... Yes, I do use an animation program to do my coloring in, but like c'mon I paid 700 bucks for this thing, I'm gonna use it as often as I possibly can. Plus, it's nice to have all the pages of the comic on the same file as individual animation frames with their own layers, it's a good organizational set-up I have going. (I did accidentally save over Chapter 2 Page 14 on the comic's TVPP file though :C )
Once the page is colored and the speech bubbles have been added, I export the frame containing the latest page to a single PNG, and open that in Photoshop to add all the text, any emojis I need to add, and any sound-effects that are hand-written (as opposed to typed) so that I can add an outline to them.
Once that's saved as a PNG, I open it in Paint Tool Sai, again, to add the paper texture (not actually sure how many people notice this detail) and that gets saved and uploaded to the internet for all of you to read :3
Ideally I just spend one day on each page so I can dedicate the rest of my time to work I actually get paid for lol, though sometimes it may just happen that I can't spend as much time at my computer on the day I'm supposed to update the comic, so I get delayed.
An actual list of good advice for playing RF4 for the first time
KEEP ALL YOUR DEAD GRASS!!!! THOSE UGLY BROWN THINGS ARE WORTH MORE THAN A HUMAN SOUL AND YOU WILL REGRET NOT HAVING THEM LATER! HOARD THOSE LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT
Similarly: the moment you have clovers unlocked I’d start growing piles of them, these two plants are basically on the go fertilizers you can use in your extra fields and you’ll need a lot of them. Plus the dead weeds are in all of the fertilizer recipes.
Inversely, repeat after me: I only need one woolly. Trust me, you’ll get between 2 and 5 wool every day from a single wooly and it’s basically pointless aside from like 2 crafting recipes and selling.
TINY SPOILER: the game hands you a Green and a Silver Wolf in the second arc, you don’t need to tame those unless you’re cool with having multiple of them.
Pick a section of your field and dedicate like 8 spots to growing monster feed, and have a monster water it for you. Get ahead early and you’ll never need to worry about it again.
Get a bee. Honey sells for frankly absurd amounts for how easy it is to get. It’s like a free 700 gold every day. Part of me wants to dedicate an entire barn room to bees and just get rich shipping honey.
Similarly: focus on filling your compost bin to absurd amounts cause it’s just a lot easier to wait until your storage fills up and dump your excess grasses into it all at once and forget about it instead of trying to worry about keeping it filled every day
The moment you have access to the Obsidian Mansion area you need to head northwest from that area to find the cedar tree, it will give you a randomized tree seed daily. Start a tree farm the moment you can, aim to have one of each fruit tree at least cause there are requests for them (I usually use the Summer Field since in the first year I have more summer crops than I know what to do with anyway)
MASS. FARM. EARLY. CROPS. The Spring field is the last one you unlock and it takes A While, so farm as many of the spring crops as you can manage early on, especially the flowers. Sure you CAN grow them in other times but tbh it’s just so easy to hoard them and the flowers are so useful for medicinal crafting and when you run out it just sucks.
Human companions are really only great in the early game, they’re fun for plot stuff but tbh it just gets easier to use monsters around the end of act 1
The fishing festival is low key kinda rigged, especially in year 1, don’t get too salty about losing it.
Prep for the harvest festivals cause those are easy enough to win if you pay attention and the payoff is really high.
The Buddy Battle is also kind of rigged??? I’m trying to find out which monsters stand a chance and how high of a level you need to be to win year 1, I’m guessing you’ll need something with magic attacks cause in my first file I sent two physical attackers in and the final battle they couldn’t do any damage.
You’ll occasionally get Levelizers from particularly tough requests or in chests, resist the urge to use them immediately, you get more bang for your buck the longer you wait. Hoard them until you hit a wall and then use them to level up quickly!
Level up all the different weapon types to at least like level 10! It helps with getting better crafting recipes from recipe bread, for one thing. I felt so ridiculous in my first file, wondering why I couldn’t unlock any dual blade recipes to make for Vishnal for when we went adventuring, when it was my lowest weapon skill (cause I kept giving him all the ones I found and thus had no good weapons of my own to use so I never used them)
You’re going to get 5 free baths, make them count cause the baths are 300 gold and early game you are always out of cash.
There’s random free stuff in the baths, the airship, and the second floor of the restaurant if you look in the investigates spots. If you go to Margaret’s house while she’s home and look in the barrel you can get fruits.
Don’t bother trying to be Doug’s friend, he’s a complete brat for the first two arcs and won’t level up beyond 3. This game wants you to suffer.
The Delirium Lava Ruins are GOD AWFUL and I hate them. there’s nothing you can do about it. I have no tips they just genuinely suck. Bring so many potions. Be wary of damage loops from the traps, you can get stuck and just pummeled to death, unable to move. And then Jones will steal your money.
Don’t be afraid to look up area maps on the wiki cause there’s a lot of stuff I’d never have figured out without it. There’s hidden rooms and weird puzzles and places that you need to go during specific weather patterns or on certain days, it’s a mess.
Arthur likes Turnips, Vishnal likes potatoes and anything with curry, Margaret likes fruit, Dylas likes carrots, Doug likes rice, Forte likes cakes, and Amber likes flowers. That’s literally all I can remember as far as gifts go. I woo’d Vishnal by throwing potatoes and manju at him and I’m not sure how it worked either.
When first I read the article about introducing lucy I was ok unnecessary because we ha already 45 characters, but she'll last 3 episodes, exactly like lena, after the episode we have arielle that does interviews left and right like she was a character present from seasons, and teasing a b/l finale. Journalists that talk about feelings towards lucy, he met her 3 seconds ago?Can't wait to see buck living with taykay while spends his days drooling all over lucy.
Also just had one thought after sending in that ask. She was eager to shoehorn this woman into the front and ruin a beloved character in the process. She trampled all over buck. I get that this is going somewhere and I'm desperately hopeful the explanation is good enough for people to feel a little better. But K is K and the interviews she gave were a mix of homophobic gaslighting and adoration for A. Again, SO very bizarre
Yeah I was ready for this new lady to push on Buck's recklessness (which she apparently will do too I guess? Who knows. They gave like 700 interviews) and for something to go wrong on a call and that be the trigger to get Bobby involved like he did with Eddie and the street fighting and sending Eddie to therapy, and then she would be gone when Eddie came back. Instead we got....this mess.
Also, did we all just...forget about Ravi? The man who was Buck's partner? So they aren't actually down two people? This just seems SO deeply unnecessary. In case we've forgotten, season 3 had a net total of ZERO love interests for Buck OR Eddie and guess what? The season was amazing even without the relationship drama for them! Who would have thought?! I wonder what happened in season 4? (Hint, Tim put a certain co-showrunner in charge 🙃)
I think this storyline has potential to give us some interesting things and end in an interesting place, but that doesn't change the fact that the staring point is bad and didn't need to happen like this. And you’re right, they have SO many characters (but not enough, because the ONLY reason we had so many tay kay scenes in 5a is because they didn’t have enough cast and she was cheaper, haven’t you heard? 🙄), and so much going on with Eddie and Maddie and Chim and them all healing and coming back to work, and they have characters we already know but haven’t gotten this much screen time and development for! So WHY bring on yet another new side character when the major complaint from the general audience about 5a, was that there wasn’t enough focus on the main characters that the casual viewers tune in every week to see? Here’s hoping the general audience being upset about all the article pushing this new character AND having her dragging their fan fave Golden Child down with her will inspire some...scene shuffling like the did with 5x09 after the abysmal response to Ghost Stories from the GA which was still rated nearly a whole point higher than 5x11. Which is a shame because unlike Ghost Stories that only had the opening, and a few Karen and Chim moments to save the episode, 5x11 was an absolute banger except for the cheating part. And that? That drug the ENTIRE episode down for a lot of fans. Let’s hope Eddie’s breakdown can manage to salvage the day for 5x13!
Once again, congrats on the 700 followers!!! I truly am glad to see you on my dash every time ❤ I hope you have a good day and stay safe! Much love to you, friend 😊
🎼 Wildcat by Ratatat + Eddie Diaz (I'm lowkey obsessed with the song, and ... well, the character goes without saying, I think)
Thank you so much! Now I'm not sure what you were thinking for the song, but this is what it inspired. Don't know why my brain heard it and thought videogames and chill mood, but here we are. Love the song btw.
Throwback to a Simpler Time. 643 words. Gen. ao3
It was a very relaxed, lazy weekend morning. Eddie decided he wasn’t getting dressed, that he would just use the day to chill with his son. He missed the days when he himself was a kid, or even a teenager, and he didn’t have to do anything on weekends. He could just sit around with food and play videogames. Hopefully, Christopher would be down for that today.
He put on some of the music he used to listen to back then and started on breakfast. Waffles were the thing for such a day, he thought. He had finished preparing them and set them on the living room’s coffee table, along with a variety of topping choices, not so subtly putting the fruits at the forefront in the hopes of getting Christopher to take some, even if he then buried them under whipped cream and chocolate hazelnut spread.
He was just setting up the old Nintendo console he’d lucked out and found at a garage sale a few weeks ago, when his son finally came out of his room and joined him. Christopher blinked in confusion at the sight of his dad in leopard print pyjama bottoms and an old t-shirt, pretty on theme with Christopher’s own tiger pyjamas.
“What’s going on, dad? Why are you still in your PJs? Is something wrong?”
“No, buddy, nothing’s wrong. I just thought we could have a lazy day, like I used to when I was your age. If you’re in.”
“There are waffles? Of course I’m in.”
He seemed to look around as though looking for someone else, and Eddie understood immediately why.
“No one else is here, Chris. I used batter that Buck had left in the fridge for us. I can use a waffle iron without there being a disaster, you know.”
They sat on the floor to be more level with the table and Eddie put on Super Mario Bros, a classic. He let Christopher go first, the way he would always do with his sisters. He preferred playing as Luigi anyway. When Christopher accidentally fell into a hole at the start of the third level, still not used to the controls of an unfamiliar game, it became Eddie’s turn. And since the game switched turns only when the player died, it remained Eddie’s turn long enough for Christopher to eat, while he himself was getting hungry.
“You skipped worlds? No fair, I didn’t know you could do that,” Christopher commented, with a mouth full of waffle.
“You wanted to go first. And when I tried to tell you about the hidden extra life, you told me you didn’t want my help. I listened to you.”
“I’m the kid, you’re supposed to help anyway!”
“Doesn’t matter now, you’re catching up already. Look at you, at the third world’s castle after taking the long way there.”
“Easy to catch up with someone who keeps jumping into fire, or right into a hole.”
“Hey, I am very good at this game. Your aunts kept getting angry because I wouldn’t die and it was never their turn quick enough. I’m just a little rusty.”
Christopher laughed in his usual contagious way, leading Eddie to join in. They kept playing all morning, the outside world forgotten as Eddie watched his son discover the pleasures of his childhood. It was a fun thing to share, and he really enjoyed the slight competitiveness.
They ended up ordering pizza for lunch and continued playing, moving on to Super Mario Bros 3, where they had to work a little more as a team and make decisions together about where they were going. It was fun to relax and have fun just the two of them for once. It felt as though they never had enough of those moments. Hopefully, as Christopher grew older, they could keep on doing things like this.
okay so i just spent 44 hours traveling cause fucking Everything went wrong
I had to get a covid test to come into ireland within 72 hours of flying in, but the testing clinics near our house all said they would take 3-5 days for the results to come back. so we went on the 26th as i was leaving on the 29th.
I get to boston and the lady asks to see my covid test so I hand it over, and she ways that it has to be within 72 hours of me LANDING in ireland and since it was like....4 hours outside of that, it wasnt valid
meanwhile I didnt have an american sim card, only an irish one, and I tried activating my american one but it wouldnt activate, so when I called my dad (since the wifi wasnt working to call on whatsapp or any other wifi based calling thing) it cost 40 euro
I had to get a hotel room at boston for the night, which cost 100 bucks
next day, had to go to a clinic in boston to get a rapid test (200 bucks) and I had to get a taxi there and back (100 bucks) but they wouldnt email it, I had to go pick it up, and it would take a few hours and since nowhere was open I had to either wait in the cold (-9 degrees F with windchill) or go back to the hotel. so I went back, waited a few hours
oh also my card was declined cause of travel reasons so I had to get that reactivated
got another taxi there and back (another 100 bucks) and then went to the airport.
waited a good 2 hours or so and then went to talk to the lady. gave her the results. then she said that because my paper didnt say the time the sample was taken, only the time the sample was processed, it wouldnt work (EVEN THO I GOT IT IN BOSTON AND HAD PROOF I ARRIVED IN BOSTON THE OTHER NIGHT)
had to call the clinic and get them to send me a confirmation of the time the sample was taken (they legit just made up a time around when I came in) and only THEN was I able to get on the plane
if you count in the previous covid test we had to pay for that was apparently 'invalid' the whole thing cost like an extra 600-700 dollars. Just because the original test was slightly out of the time limit. like bro ur exposing More people with this jesus christ. oh and the airport had a different test they could run that would only take 15 minutes but because they only accepted this ONE type of test I had to do all that bs
you feel like the sun on my face
Buck has a way of doing things and saying things that even in Eddie’s worst moods, he still can’t fight his smile.
or
Eddie's view on Buck's Wikipedia spirals and the beginning of the brilliant idea it inspires.
part 1/3 in my series ‘cause i’m not too far and you’re my favorite place on ao3
cw; non-graphic description of anxiety, scary facts about tsunamis (they’re freaky so this is just to be safe)
-
One thing Eddie noticed about Buck in the time they’d become friends was that Buck loved to research. He was full of obscure knowledge and useless academic insight and he never let people forget that.
The longer they were friends, the more Eddie realized it was used as a coping mechanism. After bad calls, he’d sit on his laptop and fall down a Wikipedia rabbit hole that, according to Buck, is extremely difficult to get out of.
After the train derailment, and as Buck put it ever so dramatically, the derailment of his sanity, he’d taken Buck back to his house. After the exhausting night they had, he figured Buck would fall right to sleep as soon as he hit the couch. He offered his bed, they were two adults, they didn’t have to make sharing a bed weird; but no, Buck insisted he sleep on the couch.
Which would have been fine with Eddie if Buck had actually slept.
“How did you know my laptop password?” He snorts when he realizes Buck is using his laptop.
When Buck turns to look at him with a smirk, Eddie’s eyes widen as he notices Buck’s bloodshot eyes and the bags under them. “Chris’ birthday, dude? Really?”
“Have you slept a wink?” He leans up against the wall, arms crossed, eyebrows raised.
“Probably not.” He shrugs. “Too busy reading about the evolution of cameras.”
“The what?” Eddie’s mouth drops. “Why would you need to know about the evolution of cameras? And why my laptop? Don’t you have a phone?”
“Why wouldn’t I need to know about the evolution of cameras? The history of the camera began even before the introduction of photography. It evolved from the camera obscura through so many generations of photographic technology like daguerreotypes, calotypes, dry plates, and film. Now we’ve got cameras on our phones, and not to mention cameras and phones didn’t used to exist, which is crazy.” Buck sounded exhausted but enthused at the same time and Eddie curses himself for finding his coping mechanism adorable. “Speaking of phones, to answer your question, it died somewhere around three.”
Eddie nods. “So that’s why Maddie’s called me six times.”
Buck looks at him sheepishly. “Sorry?”
The next time Eddie catches him during one of his Wikipedia binges, it happens a month after they get together.
During family dinner at the station, Bobby mentioned that Harry begged to have a beach day and proceeded to invite the rest of the one-eighteen on their next day off. Eddie looked over to his boyfriend at the mention of it but Buck wasn’t showing any signs that he wasn’t okay with going.
But he was always good at putting on a mask. Spectacularly good at it.
When he wakes up on the day they’re supposed to go, he sends Buck a quick text before he goes about his usual routine. He gets Chris up, brushes his teeth, attempts to make a nice breakfast for them, and gets Christopher ready for the day.
When Buck doesn’t text him back by the time he checks his phone again, he starts to worry. He feels foolish for worrying about not getting a text back, especially when it’s possible that Buck could be going through his morning routine as well, but his reason for worrying is justified.
He gives it another hour before he stops torturing himself waiting for Buck to call or text just to let him know he is on his way.
“Chris, buddy, change of plans! We’re gonna pick up Buck on the way.”
“I thought he was picking us up?”
Eddie smiles through his worry. “I think he overslept, bud. We’re gonna go wake him up.”
Christopher grins. “Surprise attack?”
Eddie snorts. “Surprise attack.”
He lets himself in with his key after knocking fails to work. He automatically sees Buck slumped over the island in his kitchen, just barely sitting on the white stool. His laptop is open and next to it, Buck is dozed off.
Eddie squints to see where Buck landed in his Wikipedia spiral and when he sees what it is, his heart squeezes in his chest.
The tsunami with the highest runup was the 1958 Lituya Bay megatsunami, which had a record height of 524 m (1,719 ft).
He skims through enough of the page to know he’s looking through Wikipedia’s page on tsunamis. He looks at the top to see the tabs he has open which only makes him feel worse.
How To Survive a Tsunami, According to Science
2019 Santa Monica Tsunami
Tsunamis In History
Dealing with Aquaphobia
There’s a lot of tabs open and all of them have to do with tsunamis. He knew this would be upsetting for him, he knew Buck was pushing his limits by even saying yes to going. He should have seen this coming.
“Hey, buddy, I’m gonna wake up Buck and we’re gonna have a little talk. Do you mind going to the couch? I’ll put the T.V. on once he’s awake, yeah?”
“Is Bucky okay?”
“Do you remember how nervous you were to go back to the beach after the tsunami? I think he’s going through the same thing right now, but he’ll be just fine. You know why?”
“Because he has us?”
“Because he has us.” Eddie smiles softly.
Once he gets Chris set up on the couch, he quietly walks over to where Buck is still drooling onto the island. He can’t stop the snort that escapes him. He reaches over to his shoulder and shakes gently, realizing how deep in sleep he is when that doesn’t wake up. He shakes his shoulder a little harder.
“Buck, hey, honey… wake up.”
That does the trick. Buck bolts upright too fast, falling completely off of the island stool and just misses completely hitting the floor when Eddie catches him with two arms.
Buck’s eyes widen at the sight of Eddie. “Eddie? Shit, what time is it?”
“Hey, it’s okay! It’s just passed twelve.”
“Shit, Eds, we’re late! I’m so sorry, dude. Give me-”
Eddie stops him from frantically running to get ready by tightening his grip on Buck’s shoulders. “Slow your roll, babe. I think we should talk first.”
He feels Buck’s entire body tense at those words. “Talk about what?”
Eddie ducks down to get Buck to meet his eyes, smiling softly when he does to hopefully ease whatever spiraling thoughts going through his head. “Have you been anywhere near the beach since the tsunami?”
Buck looked unsettled, almost embarrassed as he closed his eyes and shook his head.
Eddie sucks in a breath. “Buck, it’s been over a year…”
“I know, I know, I’m pathetic. It’s just-”
“You’re not pathetic, babe. After what you went through out there, no one could ever blame you for not wanting to go. Clearly this whole day out has you on edge if your searches have anything to say, so why did you say yes?”
“I can’t avoid it forever, Eds.” Eddie’s heart cracks along with Buck’s voice.
“No, you can’t. But you have me, Buck, you didn’t have to deal with all of this anxiety alone…”
“I just… hate that I’m a grown man that cowers at even the thought of going near open water. This is something that I should just be able to do without someone holding my hand.” He swallows. “I said yes because I thought I would be ready. I guess there really is no ready, though, is there? I’m always just going to be like this.”
Eddie frowns. “Trauma knows no age, you know that. You went through a trauma and being scared does not make you less of an adult, doesn’t make you a coward. Let me tell you this. I wasn’t ready in any way, shape, or form to be a dad when Christopher was born, but the second I got over the initial terror that I’d fuck it all up, being that wonderful kid’s dad in end of that fear was pretty damn rewarding. So, what I’m trying to say is, we don’t have to go, we can just sit here the whole day and play video games and stuff our faces. But, really the only way to conquer a fear is to face it, right? I’ll be right by your side the entire time, we only have to go as far as you can make yourself.”
“And I’ll be there!” Christopher shouts from the couch and Buck’s face lights up as his eyes fill with new tears.
“Superman!”
Eddie can’t stop the enormous grin that comes from the sight of his son and his boyfriend meeting for a hug in the middle for a room. Buck is kneeling down to Christopher’s height and has his arms tightly wrapped around him.
“I was scared the first time at the beach too, but I was okay because I had my dad. You’ll have both of us, Bucky. It’s going to be okay, kid.” Eddie watches through his own tears as Buck’s shoulders shake with sobs.
“You’re such a good kid, buddy, you know that?” Buck is gleaming and though filled with tears, his eyes are full of love.
“Please don’t leave my side,” Buck’s plea is desperate but Eddie wants to laugh.
“Never.”
Buck never stops shaking the entire drive to the beach.
“A tsunami can travel at 500 miles an hour, a wall of water can travel at you full force until it hits.” He’s whispering so he can’t scare Christopher but it does nothing to help himself.
“Buck…”
“If a large magnitude earthquake hit Alaska, it could trigger a tsunami in California. An earthquake can happen 2,000 miles away and cause 700 million dollars worth of property damage, not to mention the death toll that would cause.”
Eddie tries to stop him another time, but only gets cut off by another fact about tsunamis.
“A smaller tsunami could be triggered by an offshore earthquake and we’d only have ten minutes to evacuate and that’s if we even knew we had to evacuate-”
“Evan, stop. You’re only freaking yourself out more, okay? It’s going to be okay whatever happens. I’m by your side, I have you, baby.”
Eddie feels like he’s in Heaven just watching Buck blush and look down at the pet name, but then the tiny smile drops and he looks away.
He’s quiet after that but Eddie can feel the car vibrate even after it’s turned off with the force of Buck’s shaking. “You ready?”
Buck’s eyes squeeze shut the second his eyes see the ocean. “As I’ll ever be.”
The grip Buck has on Eddie’s hand is bordering too tight but he’s walking on the sand and towards where everyone was set up, closer to the water, and he finds himself emotional that Buck has gotten this far.
“Just keep swimming, Bucky.” Christopher cheers on from next to Eddie. “Just like Dory.”
He’s almost certain he hears a whimper from Buck at the expression.
“Just like Dory.” Buck repeats.
The second they reach everyone, Buck spins to face Eddie and quickly pulls him into arms, seeking comfort. He wastes no time in returning the hug, cradles the back of Buck’s head in his hand and uses the other to rub his back.
“You made it, babe. You did so fucking good, I’m so proud of you.”
He knows their family is watching, he hears Maddie distantly explain that this is the first time he’s stepped foot on a beach in a year and a half. His only focus is telling his boyfriend how damned proud he is.
“I love you,” is muffled by Eddie’s shirt but he doesn’t need it to be comprehensible because he feels it loud and clear.
“Forever.”
The next time he really thinks of Buck’s obscure knowledge and his coping mechanism, it really comes in handy.
Eddie felt as though he was vibrating out of his own skin the entire shift. His hands were shaking by the time he finally got home. He finds Christopher asleep in Buck’s arms on the couch. The sight of his favorite people lessens the tightness in his chest in the slightest.
“Hey, how was work?” Buck whispers when he lays his eyes on him.
“Nothing too crazy happened, so I guess good.” He shrugs. “Thanks for watching him today, seriously.”
“You okay?” Buck shoots him a look when Eddie goes to lie. “Eds, your hands are shaking. What’s wrong?”
Eddie sighs. “I just feel… weird.”
“Let me get him to bed seeing as we both fell asleep here and then we can talk, okay? Sit down, take a breath.”
He tears up at the sight of Buck carrying Christopher to bed. He couldn’t believe he found someone that loved his son like their own and he couldn’t believe that person was Buck. His best friend.
“Talk to me, what’s going on in that pretty head of yours?”
“You seem to be in a good mood,” He tries to get the attention away from himself, even though he knows it’s pointless. After the lawsuit, before they even got together, they both promised to communicate better. They both definitely failed at that far more than they should have, but no one should have expected any less. They were trying, that’s all that mattered.
If they brought a call home with them, they talked it out.
“What can I say, your kid is a ray of sunshine.” He grins. “Nice try though, Eds. You didn’t let me get away with it last week and your shaking is kind of scaring me. Come sit.”
Buck has a way of doing things and saying things that even in Eddie’s worst moods, he still can’t fight his smile. Eddie lazily threw himself onto the couch next to Buck.
“What do you want me to even say? It’s not like I brought a call home with me. Nothing bad happened. I’m just, uh, in a mood.” He doesn’t realize he’s crying until Buck is cupping his face in his hand. The soft concern behind his blue eyes makes more tears build behind his own.
“Come here,” Buck whispers, guiding Eddie’s head down to where it’s laying just above his heart. “Anxiety?”
He doesn’t know why that word draws a reaction as strong as sobbing but Buck pointing out it’s not just a weird mood has him breathless and emotional.
Buck tightens his arms around him. “Hey, take a deep breath with me alright?”
He nods and takes in a breath just after Buck and to know that he can breathe is enough to calm some of his bubbling anxiety.
“You hear my heartbeat?” Buck is so unbelievably good at taking care of him when he feels this way. God, how did he get so lucky?
When Eddie nods he feels Buck’s chest rise just a little with quiet laughter. “Did you know you can hear a blue whale’s heartbeat from two miles away?”
Eddie laughs wetly. “Yeah?”
“Oh, yeah! And even though they’re the biggest animal that’s ever lived on Earth, blue whales feed on krill, they’re like tiny shrimp. They can eat up to 36,000 kilograms of krill a day. Lucky animals.”
This statement has a laugh erupting from him without time to muffle it, a smile spread from ear to ear as he looks up at his boyfriend.
“There he is!” He smiles down at him before he pecks his lips. “Anyone ever told you how dazzling your smile is, Diaz?”
“Dazzling?” He snorts.
“It’s one of the many words I would use to describe your smile. Dazzling, shiny, gleaming, beautiful, life ruining, you know.”
The anxiety is slowly leaving his body and it’s filling with love and warmth in its place. He snuggles closer in Buck’s arms and revels in the safety and comfort.
“You know? I never get to be the little spoon. This is nice.”
“Now you know how I feel in your arms.”
“Safe? Happy? Warm?”
Buck lips quiver with emotion. His eyes give away love, peace, light. “Yeah, exactly.”
It’s quiet for a few minutes before Eddie’s curiosity gets the better of him. “Hey, Buck?”
“Mm?”
“Can I ask you something? It’s not a big deal, but my curiosity is getting the better of me.” He continues when Buck hums his response. “The Wikipedia spirals? The random knowledge about blue whales, the evolution of cameras, winning us trivia night at Frisco’s like it’s nothing every week with answers to questions Bobby didn’t even know. You just have a lot of knowledge in that smart brain of yours. Something I adore about you, don’t worry.”
He feels Buck let out a sigh before he snuggles Eddie closer to him, resting his head on top of Eddie’s.
“It’s just a thing, I guess. Random facts always, uh ground me, when you know-”
“I know.” He assures him.
“Yeah. It’s always been something to cope with anxiety, but it’s also just something that I just do. I like to learn, I like to read about things I didn’t know about before. I like learning for the sake of learning, I guess?”
“You’re so smart, you know? Don’t let anyone make you think differently.”
“You’re so much better than I deserve, please let anyone make you think differently.”
“Does anyone include you? Because babe? You’re so much better than I deserve but there’s no time for an argument right now.”
Buck yawns loudly. “Says who?”
“Says your sleep schedule. Close your eyes, use me as a pillow, I don’t care. Go to sleep.”
“Will you be here when I wake up?”
“Not like I have a choice here, seeing as you’re holding onto me for dear life, but I’ll always be here when you wake up. Now, and every day in the future, okay? Now sleep.”
Buck snorts and mumbles sleepily, “Love you, Eds.”
Jesus, Eddie really wants to marry him.
“I love you, too, Evan.”
To Hen;
Help me propose to Buck? I need a bunch of Wikipedia knowledge on proposals, marriage, all that good and sappy stuff. I’d ask the Wikipedia king himself, but you know…
