one implication of the pokemon world the games give you that i really want to dig into is the one where apparently the social convention if not legal requirement is that a reporter can only interview someone during or immediately after a pokemon battle. that's fun as hell.

咲良꽃 이 피었 습니다 (Cherry Blossom Blooming) - Miyawaki Sakura
You finger hovers over the "Download" button. You look around you in the cafe—couple, couple, couple, couple, and... couple. Fuck it, you download the app. It promises immediate companionship, and as soon as you enter the app and click past the rules of conduct, a map pops up, showing you the number of "companions" available around you, a Pokemon Go app for the loneliest of people.
You swipe through a couple of profiles, before landing on one. Miyawaki Sakura, she shared similar interests—namely, staying indoors and playing games. She was extremely pretty from her photos, why was she on this app? You tap on the "Hire" button, and sticker shock hits you.
*100 bits will be charged, is that okay?*
You do the math in your head, it is the equivalent of about a nice meal for two. Fine, not like you would get to enjoy such a meal yourself anyways.
*Yes*
The app says that Miyawaki Sakura will be arriving in 5 minutes, and suddenly you are nervous.
"Haah." You breathe into your hands, trying to smell your breath, but you can't tell if you need a mint. You leave your seat, trying to see if the cafe had any. Thankfully they sold some gum by the counter, and you quickly paid for the gum and some iced coffee for her.
You bring everything back to your table, placing the drink in front of the opposite seat while you hurriedly chewed the mint gum in your mouth. Looking briefly around and finding no sign of her, your attention goes back to your phone.
"Hi."
You almost swallow your gum in surprise, and you have to cough out a greeting in reply. Sitting in front of you with her arms crossed was Miyawaki Sakura.
"You ok? You requested me on your app right?"
"Yes, yes!" You manage to not cough this time. "Thanks for coming, how did you know I was here?"
"You were the only table with an empty seat, all the others were couples." You wince at her truthful comment.
"Ouch, fair." You gesture to the coffee in front of her. "I got this for you, I hope you're okay with iced coffee."
"Hmm, thanks, but I'll get my own drink, be right back." She leaves you feeling lonelier than ever as she gets up and orders her drink. Shortly after she comes back with a green tea latte.
"Ah, that hits the spot. So, what would you like to do?" Truthfully you hadn't thought that far.
"Umm, just talk I guess?"
"Sure, what would you like to talk about?" A switch seems to be flipped as Sakura leans forward, seeming to dote on you. "Tell me about yourself!" Sakura's eyes are bright and round, and she hangs on to your every word, nodding and humming along as you introduce yourself like you would at a blind date.
"That's wonderful!" If you hadn't just paid for her time you would have believed she was genuine, but you lift the veil.
"What about you? Why do you do this?" She frowns and drops the act.
"It's nice to be pampered, plus the money's good, people want to say they went on a date with an idol."
"You're an idol?"
"Oh, you didn't know? Then why'd you hire me?" Sakura looks at you, thoroughly confused.
"Uh... you were pretty and we share the same interests?" She blushes a little, actually surprised at your answer. You follow up with your own question. "What does your boyfriend think about you doing this?"
"Don't have one."
"Why not?"
She shrugs as she drinks her tea. "Why should I? Haven't found someone I like."
"Oh. I thought you know, guys would be lining up—"
"Yeah those aren't the ones you want, trust me." Sakura dismisses you casually. "Now, enough talk about me, what do you want to do? You only have me for... another hour and a half."
"Do you want to play some games then? We can go to a PC Bang or something." Her previously cold eyes light up.
"Sure, I know just the place!" You follow Sakura to the fanciest PC Bang you've ever seen—futuristic design, neon blue lights, tower PCs with clear casing, high-end peripherals, and comfortable streamer chairs, all the setups were expensive. The only thing missing was a gilded mousepad or something.
"Wow, this place is amazing!"
"Mmhmm, it's the best." The owner of the place greets Sakura with a cordial nod.
"Hi Miss Sakura, the usual room?"
"Yes, can you set up another computer in my room for my friend here?"
"Of course, please give us a few minutes."
"You come here often?" you ask her, incredulous.
"Yeah, like you said, I like to play games, might as well be comfortable while playing." You look all around the area while Sakura fiddles on her phone, until finally the owner comes back and leads you two to Sakura's usual room.
"Here you go, enjoy Miss Sakura."
"Thank you!" She jumps in and beckons you to sit next to her, the room cozy and comfortable. With practiced movements she slings the headset around her neck, sitting down and adjusting the setup just the way she likes it. "What are you doing? Come sit down."
Still stunned you sit down next to her. She side-eyes you and sighs in exasperation as she leans over, typing rapidly to log you in.
"There, we'll play lull okay?"
"Lull?"
"No, LoL! League!"
"Oh okay." It was not okay, you never played League before, but you were happy Sakura was taking the initiative. You click on the large "LoL" button and the game fires up. "Are you good at it?"
"Yes, I'll carry you!" She picks her favorite character, a... Meowkai? It looks like her, a cat.
"Who should I pick?"
"Whoever you want." You pick one randomly.
"Why would you pick Azir? It's the hardest one!"
"You said I could pick anyone!"
"Yeah but, but, but!" she sputters out harmlessly. "It’s fine, I'll support you, go bot." The game starts, and you click around randomly, following Sakura's character. "What are you doing? Stop hitting the creeps!"
"Aren't they the enemy? I'm doing damage to them!" you say proudly.
"No! Just hit them when they're low, make sure you get the last hit on them to get the gold!" You nod, focusing on the one creep you're aiming at. Its health gets low... and click! You missed.
Click, miss again.
"Yah, stop missing last hits!"
"I'm trying but—"
"Gank coming, back!" You try to run, but you die.
"Aish!" She quits out of the game and makes you quit out of the game too. "Okay, we need to play something else, I'm just going to get mad."
"Sorry, that was my first time, what do you want to play?"
"Let's play something easier, Kart Rider?"
"Sure." You have to do your best to hide your grin. The two of you fire up the game and get in a lobby. It fills up, and with a three count you were off to the races. Focus on your drift, get that boost, take that box so the guy behind you can't. You are laser-focused, or you would be, but you are only slightly distracted by Sakura swearing next to you, her race apparently not going so well. The game finishes, and all you hear is Sakura swearing up a storm.
"Fucking drifting cheaters and shit items, they just got lucky, fuck!" She remembers you are in the room. "What place did you get?" She leans over to look. "Motherf— how did you do that?"
"I played this game before." You did, just yesterday as a matter of fact, and the whole year before yesterday too.
"Teach me!" Smiling from ear to ear you set up a two-person lobby with Sakura, teaching her the ins-and-outs of the game, the little details she never bothered to learn. Soon she was driving pretty decently.
"Okay, let's go again!" The two of you jump in another lobby, and you and Sakura zoom away into the distance. Surprisingly Sakura is able to keep up with you, the swearing gone, the room quiet other than the keypresses needed to steer the karts. You were almost at the end when a seeker missile hits you, letting Sakura drive past your flailing kart to finish first place.
"Bullshit!" You swear, slamming the table.
"Haha, I won!" Sakura turns to stick her tongue out at you. "You suck, boo!" The words leave her mouth before she could stop herself. "Sorry, that was too much, I got lucky." You laugh at her sudden apology.
"It's fine, it happens, you did great!"
"Okay, the score's one to one, one more round?"
"Sure, let's go!" As you wait in the lobby, you hear Sakura's phone go off, and her face falls.
"Sorry, time's up," she says apologetically. "I have to go to my next... customer."
"Oh okay, no problem, let me take care of the bill, you should go then, don't be late."
"No!" Sakura says a little strongly. "No, I got it, I enjoyed this, it's on me, as thanks for teaching me."
"Oh, thanks!" Sakura settles the bill quickly and the two of you exit the PC Bang. "How are you getting there?" you ask her.
"I'll just get a taxi, that way I won't be late. What about you?"
"Subway," you answer lamely. The two of you are silent for a moment. "Well then, thanks for hanging out with me." What do people do in a situation like this? You weren't sure if you should wave or shake her hand or hug her goodbye. Sakura waves at you, so you settle for waving back.
"I had fun too, thanks!" As you turn to head to the subway Sakura stops you. "Can I give you some advice?"
"Sure."
"Get off the app, you don't need it, you should find someone who likes you for you, not someone you pay to like you."
"Hah, you say that like it's easy."
"It isn't, but it'll be worth the time and money when you do, I wasn't worth whatever you spent for my time."
"My money, my call, I thought it was worth it," you say brusquely.
Sakura bites her lower lip, but doesn't give much of a retort. "Fine, whatever, you do you, just my advice, take it or leave it." The atmosphere suddenly cold and chilly, you nod slightly at Sakura to bid her goodbye, giving her a small smile that she only returns half-heartedly before turning her back on you and walking away.
"What's her problem?" you mutter as you enter the station, and here you thought she enjoyed herself.
-----
"Idiot..." Sakura mutters to herself. He was too good for her, so many times better than her usual customers. She looks at her phone.
*Any problems with the session?* She taps "No".
*Did you enjoy the session?* She taps "Yes".
*Offer them a discount for next time?* She taps "Yes" again. Just in case he still decides to spend money, I don't want him to pay that much, she tells herself. It asks her how much, giving her options of 10%, 20%, and 30%. She hits the "Custom" button and types in “90″. Any further thought is interrupted by the taxi stopping, and with a sigh Sakura steps out of the cab—on to the next job. She sits down across from her customer and puts on her best smile.
"Hi, tell me about yourself!"
-----
A week later you're chilling in your room, playing Kart Rider again. But you only play a few rounds before quitting the game—it just didn't feel the same, having someone in the room to race with you, someone to trash talk and cheer on.
You hadn't touched the app the whole week, taking Sakura's advice, but you found yourself opening it once more. Right away you are greeted by a ridiculous offer: 90% discount to meet up with Sakura again? Hell yes! You tap book, and choose the cafe where you last met her.
You rush to the cafe, only to find Sakura already there, jiggling her leg as she plays with her phone.
"Hey Sakura, sorry I'm late."
"It's okay, the clock's ticking."
"No problem, the app gave me a discount!" You say brightly, but Sakura stays stone-faced.
"Is that so? Good for you. Here." She gestures to the drink at your seat. "You got this last time right?"
"Yes, wow, thank you! How much was it, I'll pay you back."
"That's nothing, it's fine. What did you want to do today?" You're glad that she doesn't bother putting on her high-pitched tone this time.
"Just felt like gaming, can you take me back to that PC Bang again? The place was great, I need to remember that location."
"Oh really? Sure, let's go." Sakura shows you the address of the place and leads you there again. You sit down next to her in her room again, the setup graciously put together again by the owner of the place.
"What do you want to play?" You ask her.
"Anything works, how about Kart Rider then?" You were more than happy to do so, and you do a few lobbies with Sakura. But it was clear that she wasn't into it, doing poorly and more worryingly, being really quiet.
"Hey Sakura, everything okay?"
"Hmm? Just been a rough week that's all." She covers her face with her hands, as if trying to hit refresh on herself. "Sorry, just not my week."
"We can cancel, you should just go home and rest, you don't look good."
"No, you paid, maybe we should do something else."
You shake your head resolutely and get up. "No, I only paid 10%, I already took too much of your time, let's call it today."
"Thanks..." Apologetically Sakura gets up with you and the two of you exit the PC Bang. "Sorry, I'll make it up to you some time."
"Make it up to me by feeling better, thanks for showing me the place though. I know where to come next time!"
"Not at all." Sakura looked down, and you leaned in, wanting to give her a comforting hug.
"Stop." One word is all it takes to freeze you. You remember seeing something about that in the app rules—if they asked to stop, you had to stop.
"Right, sorry, I just wanted to- Sorry, feel better then."
"Thanks." Sakura opens her mouth to speak further, but she closes it again and says nothing more, simply bowing to you formally and leaving.
-----
Sakura lies in bed, staring at the ceiling of her room. His fallen expression is still etched into her mind. It causes bad memories to resurface.
*Stop!*
*Come here baby!*
*I said stop, the rules are—*
*Fuck the rules! I just want a hug, is that too much to ask?* Her body is crushed against his, his smell revolting. *Mmm, you feel so nice.* It almost makes her want to puke, she had to get out, but she couldn't move! She feels something werid, was that his—
*Argh what the fuck!* Suddenly released from his grip Sakura staggers backwards, gasping for breath. He was holding his groin in pain—she had kneed him on instinct.
Enraged, Sakura was unfortunately still in range as he swung his hand, backhanding her in the face and making her world spin. "Fuck you, just because you're an idol you think you're something special? I pay good money and I can't even get a hug?! Come here!" He staggers forward, his paws grasping for her. Sakura kicks out at him, connecting between his legs once more. The creep crumples to the ground, and Sakura turns and runs. She doesn't look back.*
Sakura shakes her head, her ceiling looking blurry. Her hand goes to her face, and the back of her hand becomes wet with tears. She buries her head in the pillow, her makeup staining the sheets, sad for herself and apologetic to him. The feelings tear her in half, and emotionally exhausted she falls into restless sleep.
By the time Sakura wakes up, it's already dark. She checks her phone—she's missed 3 requests, but she doesn't care, she cares about the one she "completed". 3 taps, and she gives him another big discount before falling back asleep.
She wakes up again a few hours later, feeling slightly better, and when she comes out of the shower refreshed she is delighted to see that he has requested her again... except that it was for next weekend.
The next few days slow down to a crawl for Sakura, and she finds herself rejecting all other requests, choosing to camp out at the PC Bang to improve her Kart Rider skills. She improves but it isn't nearly as satisfying, every win boring without someone to celebrate with, every loss lame with no one to complain to.
Damnit, why next weekend? she asks herself.
The question that doesn't register in her head yet is: Why does she want to see him again?
-----
You walk towards the cafe on the day you're supposed to meet Sakura, expecting to see her seated at a table or not yet there. But she surprises you once more, waiting for you at the door.
"Hey Sakura, are there no seats? We can go somewhere else."
"No, I just wanted us to go somewhere else. Is that okay?"
"Of course, lead the way!" You expect her to lead you to another PC Bang or digital entertainment of some sorts, but Sakura pulls you into a cab, taking you slightly out of the city and to somewhere far more analog.
"We're here." She pays for the ride and steps out of the taxi. You follow her down a rarely-traveled trail, stumbling over brush and root, until finally it opens up into a grove, in the middle of which is a large regal tree.
"Wow, what is this place?"
"My little hideaway." She pulls out a small picnic blanket from her bag and places it at the bottom of the tree before sitting down, her eyes asking you to join her. Together you lean back against the tree, Sakura closing her eyes and allowing herself to relax.
"You come here often?"
"Every week."
You close your eyes and enjoy the quiet sounds of the grove, but you can't help yourself, and you ask Sakura a question.
"Why did you bring me here?" It takes awhile for her to answer.
"Why do you keep asking for me on the app?" You were not expecting a question as an answer.
"Well, it kept giving me large discounts—"
"Is that all?"
"No! I mean I enjoy hanging out with you, and you're very pretty, and—"
"Would you meet me outside the app?"
"Of course? But how else can I contact you, I can only use the app."
"Baka, give me your phone." You hand it to her and Sakura types a few numbers in. "There, that's my number, if you want to hang out or game, just contact me directly."
"Wow really? That's okay? Are you sure?"
"As long as you don't tell the app."
"Right of course, wow thanks Sakura!" You're so happy you don't even realize she skipped answering your question, and she’s already dragging you out of there. "Where are we going?"
"PC Bang, I've been practicing the whole week, I'm going to kick your ass."
Before you know it, you're meeting Sakura weekly at the PC Bang, each of you enjoying each other's company, competing and gloating over one another. One day though, you had an awkward request to ask of her after a long gaming session.
"Hey Sakura, can you be my girlfriend?" She blushes immediately.
"Your what?!"
"Sorry, can you pretend to be my girlfriend? It's the holiday season and you know how families gather around this time, my extended family is going to needle the crap out of me if I don't bring someone. Please?"
"Ahaha oh whew, I thought you meant something else... Sure, but you will have to pay me."
"Okay, that's fine, thank you so much! How much?"
"I haven't decided yet, depends on how demanding your family is, when are you meeting your family?"
"Tomorrow lunch."
"Tomorrow?! And you tell me now? I need to prepare! This is going to cost you extra!" She wags her finger at you, and you gulp.
"Sorry, I just thought you would be okay with it, I didn't think of it sooner though, sorry!" You rub your hands together, praying for forgiveness.
"It's fine, I need to go then."
"You don't have to prepare, just show up, it's a one time thing anyways."
"No, it's a job, and I will be professional about it, I will go prepare now." She says it so seriously you found it cute. You agree on a time and place to meet before going together to your family home.
You wait at the cafe near your parents' home, cleanly dressed, and you almost don't recognize the Sakura walking towards you—gone are the hoodie and baggy sweatpants, replaced by a modest but elegant brown one piece.
"Hi oppa!" She bounces up to you, her eyes shining happily.
"Oppa? Since when do you call me that!"
"I'm your girlfriend, am I not? How do I look?" She does a small twirl for you.
"You look amazing, wow."
"I'm glad, do you think your parents will like it?"
"They'll like that I brought someone, they'll love you!" Her cheeks blush pink, playing the part of a shy girlfriend perfectly—her acting is incredible!
You lead her to your parents' place and knock on the door.
"So good to see you dear— oh my god you brought a girl! Yah he brought a girl!" Your mum positively shouts in delight, and in that moment you are sure that Sakura was far more important to your parents. "Come in come in!" She takes Sakura by the hand and drags her in. "Look who our dear son brought in!"
Everyone thankfully greets her graciously, except for your sister.
"Oh my god it's Sakura, oh my god oh my god oh my god! Can I get an autograph, and a photo together, and—"
"Calm down! You know his girlfriend?"
"Of course! How do you not know her? She is all over TV!"
"Ah... hi, yes, I'm an idol, I do performances on TV." Sakura nods politely.
All the jaws drop, and they turn to you almost comically, as if asking, "You? With a celebrity?"
You wince at the reaction. "What? We just happened to meet onl—"
"On a blind date," Sakura cuts you off. "And we really match, he treats me really well!"
"Y-Yes, that." You all sit down to talk, but the talk is more an interview than anything.
"How long have you two been dating?" "How do you not get caught?" "How do you not find someone else better?"
"Okay okay, settle down!" you call out, irritated. "Are we here to eat together or hold a press conference?" Your family quietens down and the conversation returns mostly to normal, although their eyes continually find themselves looking at you and Sakura—no doubt they're talking about you two. You take some food from the table and place it in Sakura's plate, prompting a fresh round of chatter.
"Sorry about this." You mutter quietly to Sakura. Surprisingly she handles it really well, and under the table she grabs your hand, soothing your guilt.
"Don't worry, this is normal." She leans into you and giggles in your ear. "This is what I do for my actual job, you're the only one who doesn't treat me like an idol, you know?"
"Really? I can't imagine handling that, wow." You have a newfound respect for her.
"Unnie!" Your sister somehow sneaks behind you, addressing the two of you.
"Yah, we're eating, don't bug—" Sakura pats your hand.
"Just eat, I can handle this." Sakura becomes a professional, turning and smiling brightly at your sister.
"Hi, oppa's told me so much about you!"
The rest of lunch goes well, and thankfully it ends in relatively quick fashion, after everyone has taken a photo with Sakura.
"Thank you for the meal, it was so good to meet everyone!"
"Sure, come by more often Sakura!" your mom says earnestly. Sakura bows respectfully, and the two of you leave before someone else holds her up.
"I'm so sorry," you groan, earning a chuckle from her.
"It's fine. You owe me, are you free for dinner?" she asks you.
"Dinner? Yeah sure, where do you want to go, my treat."
"Great. You don't even have to treat me."
"I don't?" That sounds too good to be true.
"Mmhmm, I need you to pretend to be my boyfriend."
"Mom, I'm here!"
"Sakura is that you? Oh, you brought someone, welcome!"
"Hello, it is nice to meet you," you say in accented and stilted Japanese that you quickly studied, but it is enough to earn you brownie points with her mom, who smiles warmly at your greeting.
"It is nice to meet you, come in, come in." Her mom shows you into the living room, and you see the rest of Sakura's family there, all eyes on you.
"Hello, I'm Sakura's boyfriend, nice to meet everyone." You blush hard as you say it—you are not the actress she was. Thankfully her mom helps you out.
"Now that everyone's here, let's eat!" You all proceed to the dining table, where you unfortunately get seated opposite Sakura, who is immediately engaged by her mother, speaking in rapid Japanese—you're on your own. Her father takes a seat next to you, nodding and smiling at you in greeting.
"Hello sir."
"Please, no need for formality." He speaks kindly to you, but his questions are pointed and direct, intending to know more about you. You answer them as honestly as you can, short of telling him how you're not actually Sakura's boyfriend.
Or so you thought. "What do you think of our Sakura?"
"Er... she's very charming and pretty, very competitive in video games."
"Do you like her?"
"O-Of course, I'm her boyfriend—"
"Please, we're not silly, we notice when Sakura brings back a different guy every year, and they never seem to know much about her. You are the only one who mentioned her competitiveness and video games, so you already know more about her than usual."
"I... sorry."
"She's strong, but she needs someone she can be weak to. I like you the most out of everyone she has brought back, so can you do that for her?"
"I'll try? I don't know if she’s interested in me."
"I can figure that out for you." He speaks loudly, making sure Sakura hears it. "Hey, when are you going to propose to Sakura?"
"Dad! Don't ask him questions like that!" To your surprise Sakura blushes madly.
"Alright alright, sorry dear." He lowers his voice once more, offering a drink to you which you accept. "She likes you, I've asked others before, she would normally just roll her eyes or ignore me. She cares about what you think of us, her family."
You drink silently, stunned. Sakura is interested? You always thought she had other suitors, and that the two of you were just friends.
"You don't have to do anything because of me of course," he continues. "I just wish, that if you were interested in Kkura, you would try at least."
You nod, still not trusting yourself to speak. He smiles and pats you on the shoulder before getting up to clear his plate, leaving you to your drink. Sakura sees her chance and takes his seat.
"Sorry about that, don't listen to him." Damn, suddenly she looks utterly adorable.
"No problem. The food is delicious by the way, thanks for inviting me here." You take her hand warmly, and her body temperature goes up a few degrees.
"You're welcome, thanks for coming." A warm flush spreads to her cheeks, and it isn't from the alcohol she had been drinking. You spend the rest of the dinner talking to Sakura, and by the time you two leave her parents' place, it was already late. Sakura has one more request.
"Can you come with me?" She brings you back to the grove, silent except for some insects in the trees. The only light is that from her phone lighting the way and the moon in the night sky. Then the phone goes dark, the sudden change renders you sightless.
"Sakura?" You feel arms wrap around you.
"Call me Saku, not Sakura." She didn't have to explain herself, and you didn't have to ask her why—you understand what her father means now, why she brought you here.
You turn around and wrap her in your arms. "Sure, Saku." The moon is reflected in her eyes, and you lean closer in, a desire to kiss her overwhelming you. You close your eyes, she smells like cherry blossom—
"S-Stop." Sakura's weak voice trembles.
"Sakura?"
"Sorry, things are just moving a little too fast, I don't know what came over me." She wriggles out of your arms. "We should... We should go home, sorry."
"Sure, no problem."
-----
Back at home Sakura flails her legs in bed. Why did I bring him there again?! And he was going to kiss me! Should I have let him? Dad was asking about a proposal only, why did I react that way?
Sakura lies on her back, her arm covering her face. She can feel the heat on her cheeks, just thinking about him is making her fuzzy and warm.
He feels the same way, right, right? She grabs her phone, the urge to call him strong, to ask about what he thinks of her. But no, no it has to be perfect! Just then an email reminder comes in, she has an awards show to go to soon, she can ask him to that! And then afterwards...
Sakura types her message.
*Are you free next week?*
Sharply dressed you show up at the award show, trying not to stare at all the gorgeous A-list celebrities. You cut a lonesome figure, the only person without a date.
"Hey!" That all melts away as you seen Sakura come up to you—she looked gorgeous, all made up and dressed in a little black dress, her long legs and pale shoulders on full display for you.
"Hey Sakura."
"It's Saku!" She pouts. "Thanks for coming!"
"Right, sorry, I haven't seen so many celebrities in one place before, bit nervous," you admit sheepishly.
"Relax, I'll introduce you to everyone!" She does just that, slipping her arm between yours and guiding you around the room. You meet her former group members, who greet her happily, squealing and hugging at seeing her after a long time. You meet a few other celebrities she did shows with, but they all blend together.
You saw many pretty celebrities, but in your mind you were by far the luckiest man in the room. You only had eyes for Sakura, and her you—she kept herself glued to your side the whole way, as if afraid to let you slip away. You sit down next to her as the award show begins. It is boring however, and soon Sakura's head bumps against your shoulder, dozing off.
"Saku? Saku wake up."
"Hmm? Is it over yet?"
"No, how can you fall asleep?"
"Sorry, I couldn't sleep last night."
"Because of the show?"
"No no... Come on, I need some fresh air." She beckons for you to follow her, and the two of you unobtrusively make your exit. She finds a balcony and pulls you through with her. It is open to the starry night sky, the air refreshing as you take a deep breath. You watch Sakura stand at the edge of the balcony, looking beautiful and perfect. The night was quiet and there was no one around, it was also perfect. Time to let her know how you feel.
You walk up and hug her from behind. "Hey Saku."
She freezes before relaxing into the hug. "Hi." She turns around to face you, her cheeks rosy. She looked breathtaking! Wait, what were you going to say to her again? The thought melts away, and like a magnet you lean closer to Sakura, but she doesn't pull back. You tilt your head, your voice is a husky rasp as you ask of her.
"Tell me to stop." Her hands find your face, stopping you briefly, but she only shakes her head.
"No, you tell me to stop." Both of you stay silent and stop playing chicken with your feelings as she pulls you in, a muffled moan of joy from both of you as you finally kiss Sakura. Her arms wrap around your neck and yours go around her waist, pulling her into you.
The passion overflows from the two of you, your tongues tangling, getting to know each other for the first time, wanting a taste of each other. Your kiss moves down to her neck, her fingers digging into your arms to hold you close. Sakura lets out soft whines of pleasure as you leave marks on her neck. Your hand drifts past her hip and dances down her thigh, finding the hem of her little black dress. Mindlessly you move under it, the feel of her bare skin under your fingertips lighting a fire in you—your hand moves up, wanting to lift the dress...
"Stop, stop!" Sakura pleads breathlessly, and the fire dissipates, but just for a moment. "Sorry, I hadn't planned for the kiss." Her face is bright red.
"You had a plan? Is that why you wore this dress?" you ask, continue to peck her neck with light kisses.
"Ah... yes, but not here, let's go to my place." The desire in her eyes lights up your need again. No one notices your silent exit from the awards show.
-----
Sakura feels her head sink into the pillow as her lover kisses her hungrily, his hands roaming all over her body through the thin fabric of her dress. She is so happy that he feels the same way about her—the kiss at the award event was not in her plans, but she is more than happy that he's here now. Her body reacts for her while her mind is occupied, the moans flowing freely as he paws her chest over the dress, his other hand pulling her up towards him.
I can feel him! Instead of warm and fuzzy feelings, thinking and feeling him right now is making her feel hot and wet. She gets even wetter when he growls into her ear.
"Take off your dress." She gets off the bed, watching him work his tie—Why is that so hot?!— as she slips out of her dress, letting it pool at her feet. Left in her underwear she walks towards him, leaning over and kissing him.
"Take off your shirt," she whispers needily, her fingers already working on his buttons. Soon his shirt is off, and her hands appreciate his fitness before going further down to work on his slacks. She backs off slightly to allow him to stand, and soon his slacks are next to her dress on the floor.
Sakura tries to push him back on the bed, but easily he pulls her off her feet, and with a yelp she finds herself staring at her ceiling once more before he fills her entire view.
"You look so beautiful." He stares down at her with a mix of love and lust, and all Sakura can do is moan into the room as his lips trace their way down her body. He pulls on her bra, and Sakura reaches behind, unhooking it and pulling it off her chest. Immediately he pounces on her like a cat, sucking and licking one breast, and then the other. He plays with her stiff nipples, rubbing and teasing her with both tongue and fingers. Sakura is a squirming mess, her body already beginning to misfire in pleasure—when did she become so sensitive?
She pants as he gives her a break, his hands moving down her body as he kisses his way back up. His butterfly kisses flutter all over her face—cheeks, forehead, eyes, nose. He sucks on her lower lip, his tongue brushing against hers, and then he's nibbling on her earlobe, his breaths far too warm in her ear. Sakura whimpers, his attention almost pushing her to the point of overstimulation. Before she knows it his fingers are on her panties, but why isn't he pulling them down?
"Can I?" She realizes he's looking to her for permission.
"Yes! D-Don't stop unless I tell you to." Her own voice is burning with want, low and barely recognizable from her idol tones. A quiet gasp, and she is completely naked for him—she can feel the stickiness between her thighs. Her eyes stare blankly at the ceiling, focusing instead on his movements. He's spreading her legs, his arms are hooking around her thighs. Wait, is he going to—
"Ahh!" Sakura cries out in pure joy as he presses his tongue against her slit, dragging it once over her folds. Bad memories that would resurface when left alone to her thoughts are wiped away with every lick, short-circuiting any coherent thought, rewiring her memories to think only of him. Her hands find his hair, and she pushes him in deeper, her legs hooking around his shoulders and holding him in place as he continues to lick her. Her vision goes black for a moment when he parts her lips, and Sakura gasps as his wet muscle delves into her.
-----
"More!" Sakura's moan is one of wanton desire, her hips bucking up into you. Your lip brushes against her little sensitive nub, and she can't help but squeal. Your strengthen your grip on her hips and thighs before proceeding to devour Sakura, your tongue stroking her walls inside while your upper lip rubs against her clit.
"Oh oh oh! Right there, I'm—Mmmmmm!" It doesn't take too long before Sakura succumbs to your feasting, and with a strangled cry she climaxes into your mouth, her juices sweetly flowing down your chin.
You extend her peak, keeping her there while you continue to eat her out, lifting her bucking hips to give you better access. You continue to sample the peach that is Sakura's core, until finally her hand has to push you away and you let her back down on to the bed. As soon as she recovers she pulls you in for a kiss, not caring about the taste of her own juices on you.
"I want you, I want you now!" Her hands scramble for your boxers, and as soon as you kick them off she is pulling you by your shaft towards her. Both of you moan when your tip touches her entrances.
You pause briefly. "Saku are you sure—"
"I didn't tell you to stop." Her hands on your hips, she pushes you just that little bit into her, and your body does the rest, feeding your length into her waiting warmth. Both your eyes are glossed over in bliss, reveling in the feeling of becoming one. Sakura's tightness and heat is near overwhelming, and as soon as you are fully in her you melt into her embrance, moaning into her pillow. You realize Sakura isn't moving, her body stilled.
"Saku?" You gently kiss her neck, and she finally exhales, releasing the breath she was holding.
"You're stretching me, it's so big," she pants into your ear, her hands wrapped around your back.
"Are you okay? Does it hurt?"
"No, don't you dare stop!" She says hurriedly, and hugging you tighter, scared that you were thinking of stopping. "You can try moving," she says in a softer tone.
Sakura positively purrs as you slowly pull out, the friction of you against her as utterly delightful for her as it is for you. You take her breath away as you slowly push back in, stretching her out once more.
"God you feel so good," you moan into her neck, and the response is immediate—she gets even tighter around you.
"Same here, don't stop, don't stop!" With heavy breathing and loud panting you push in and out of Sakura, the pleasure liquefying both of you into a combined lump of ecstasy.
-----
Sakura is a murmuring mess, begging him to never stop as he praises her, whispering to her just how good she feels around him. Her hands mindlessly scratch his arms and back as one orgasm after another sends her sky high again and again. She never felt so connected to someone, and she never wanted for him to stop! He gets bigger inside her, and Sakura whines as the thrusts get suddenly rougher.
Oh my god I'm going to cum again—What?! Just before another glorious peak it all stops! A sudden emptiness hits her as he pulls out, a low groan leaving his lips as he splashes her body with thick white fluid.
-----
Your head is still fuzzy as you manage to pull out just in time, shooting your load all over Sakura's tummy—that was close! In your daze you don't realize that you're lying on your back, and Sakura's on top of you, your half-hard length in her hand.
"Why'd you stop!" Sakura’s already trying to stroke you back to full hardness.
"I-I had to, I was going to—"
"I didn't say stop!" You shudder in sensitivity as Saku lowers herself on top of you once more. She begins riding you, her movement random, both of you still twitching in orgasmic aftershocks. Your seed still runs down her body in white streaks, some of it dripping off her and on to you as she moves—it was incredibly erotic, and soon you were fully hard inside her once more.
Satisfied, Sakura leans over to whisper in your ear, "I'm not going to stop, I want to feel you explode in me. If you want me to stop and get off you, you'll have to tell me to stop." She prepares to get up and ride you further, but pauses to get in one last word.
"I know you won't."
Sakura begins riding you quickly, grinding and rolling her hips at a rapid pace, clearly chasing her pleasure. Her walls try to milk you every time she climaxes, your connection becoming wet and messy—this just makes it easier for Sakura to reach her next climax. After another climax or three you feel her slow down significantly, her body coated in a sheet of sweat, but as far as you are concerned she is glowing. You hold her steady as you sit up, bringing her face to face with you.
"Are you close?" she asks you. The throbbing inside her is answer enough, and you only need to nod. She kisses you passionately, her next request a plea for ultimate ecstasy. "Please don't tell me to stop."
"Never, take what you want." Sakura gets a second wind, and she slams herself down on you over and over, your hands helping to guide her down on you just the way you liked it. Sakura is sweating, drooling even, and you are much the same, moaning and groaning, your eyes reflecting the lustful frenzy in hers. You are hers just as much as she is yours.
"Saku—" She brings herself down on your stamen one last time and your burst and bloom. Your pollen floods her as you hold her tightly against you, primally trying to pollinate her, hoping that her flower bears your fruit, so that another flower will bloom. Her body squirms and milks you, small jolts of electricity causing you to shoot just a few more sprays of pollen.
As the haze clears from your release you feel Sakura lying against you, panting heavily.
"You okay?"
"So good, but I'm... so tired..."
You are able to get her off you, and weakly the two of you stagger to her bathroom. After a quick shower you manage to stumble back to bed with her, and emotionally fulfilled but physically exhausted, Sakura cuddles against your body, the warm arms of peaceful sleep embracing her.
-----
Sakura wakes up, drowsy from last night's activities. Was it a dream? She hopes it wasn't a dream.
"Ohaiyo, Saku." The voice over her shoulder tells her it was very much not a dream. That, and the scent of her lover, and the smell of sweaty passionate sex still lingering on her sheets.
"Ohaiyo." Definitely not a dream, but... Just to be sure, she thinks to herself as she reaches for him with a smirk.
"What are you doing?"
"I haven't said stop yet, so keep going..." She rolls on her stomach and looks at him, asking him to read her mind. He does so perfectly, getting on top of her, lightly pressing her into the bed. The smell of last night's sex fills her senses—between that and his sweet whispers in her ear, Sakura is soon dripping wet.
"You feel so good!" Sakura arches her back and moans in reply as he slowly splits her in half again. Languidly he moves himself in and out of her, both of them basking in the pleasure of lovemaking on a lazy Sunday morning.
Her fingers grip her pillow tightly as the pressure builds in her core—the pressure builds even faster when she feels his hand on top of hers, his fingers interlocking with her grasping digits. He thrusts slightly faster, getting slightly deeper in her, and it is enough to turn Sakura to mush.
"I'm close too Saku, can I—" Sakura nods her head, an unintelligible moan of approval escaping her lips before she buries her head in the pillow again.
"Uhh, mmm! Mmmmmnngh!" Three muffled moans, and the pleasure washes over Sakura, enhanced to a toe-curling degree by the rush of his delicious heat into her. He's filling me again, it feels so good! She swoons as the joy of being filled goes to her head. Sakura finds herself cooing and mumbling in happiness against his lips—somehow she's kissing him again, something else she can never get enough of.
He rolls off her to the side so as to not completely crush her. "Was all of this in your plans?" He jokes when they both recover. Her eyes meet his, and she opens her mouth to say something, to express how she feels, but he beats her to it.
"I have something to say." You cup her face in your hands, holding her gaze. "I like you, you're a great friend, but I want to be more than that. I enjoy our time together too much to imagine you with someone else." Sakura's face gets warm in your hands.
"I like you too. I was supposed to say it first, yesterday, before you kissed me." Sakura mumbles shyly.
"Sorry, should I take back what I said?"
"No! Don't!" She raises her hand in a joking manner.
"I'm kidding, I'm kidding!" Sakura hits you lightly before coming closer to cuddle with you. You look at the white liquid leaking out, staining her thigh and the bed, and you get slightly worried.
"Hey, is it okay to you know, do it raw?"
"Hmm? Yes, I'm safe silly, don’t worry."
"Good, good." Absentmindedly you draw circles on her thigh with your fingers, spreading your seed over her skin. A need to spread more seed in her takes you. You roll yourself on top of her, surprising her with the intensity of your kiss.
"Oppa?" she squeaks. You kiss her neck, feeling her quiver before whispering in her ear.
"You never said stop."
You push back into her, and Sakura wraps her legs around you.
Two fresh loads in her later the two of you lie panting on the bed.
"Stop." Sakura finally ends the night of passion that stretched into the late afternoon. A river of white flows from between her thighs, both of your completely satisfied and absolutely drained. You help her clean up, and the two of you snuggle, too lazy to get out of bed before night time comes around once more. Your stomach growls, prompting Sakura to laugh.
You chuckle as Sakura's tummy growls too. "Speak for yourself."
"Can you get me my phone? It's in my purse." You dip your hand in her purse, feeling around and fishing out her phone. "What should we order?"
"Whatever you like, anything's good if I’m having it with you."
"You're too sweet." A few quick taps, and Japanese food is on its way. Sakura stays on her phone for a few moments longer, and you realize the familiar icon she is looking at.
"I should delete the app now, you wouldn't like it if I met others, right?"
"Umm, yeah, that would be nice, but if you need the money maybe not?" She shakes her head.
"No, I was never looking for money."
"What were you looking for?" She deletes the app before putting the phone away and kissing you.
"You."
A/N: Hope the dedicated Sakura lovers I know @writerpeach and @kpopflorxl enjoy. This was a hard one to write, I legit had a list of 15 idols I could’ve written for, but ultimately Sakura seemed like the best fit. Also as a random sidenote, looking for pics to use in this fic, holy crap she is pretty (shoutout to Mystery Lover, their pics are amazing). Thank you for reading!

Do you have any advice for passing the ged ? Ive been trying for 10 months but I'm so unmotivated
I might not be the best person to ask, like, at all. I like testing and I just didn't take it that seriously to be honest, but I've also been using the skills it kind of tests for since I failed to graduate. Different people need different advice, too. unfortunately. Unfortunately I don't really know who you are or where your weaknesses lie so I don't know what to say.As I took it there were 4 parts:The reading section was mostly about trying to comprehend intention from text. I went milky eyed a couple times out of boredom but I still passed, so... If you can get around tumblr inferring what people want and need pretty easy you shouldn't have a lot of difficulty with it.
I wouldn't treat the 'essay' section like an essay either - it's really more about answering a prompt like you're trying to write a formal letter talking about important business - be clear, concise, to the point, don't fill it with garbage to fluff it out to 5 paragraphs. Just pretty much quote the text, answer the prompt directly (quoting the prompt helps you keep focused), keep it structured in a call and response kind of way, and don't freak out. Question - answer, data - relevance, simple sentences, don't use latin/greek words if you feel unconfident about them.
I was also taught in AP English to read the questions and answers to the question, then read the text, in order to keep a look out for the answer in my head. The Social Sciences section was basically a mix of propaganda and how well can you read popular science papers. If you're not originally American you might need to brush up American history but for me it was mostly osmosis stuff. Don't try to argue against the official version of history either, even if it's objectively correct.Math wise, I kept my math kind of less than dull by hacking around with level curves in the pokemon games and watching a ton of numberphile videos. I wish I had a calculator so I guess get a calculator and remember please excuse my dear aunt sally. But like I rewrote a problem into Polish notation once when I was having trouble making numbers so idk how well my weaknesses translate. Maybe see if you can rephrase certain day to day problems into algebra, using the kind of exposure learning a language takes...Science was straightforward for me too. It had math in it which was bad because Texas Instruments exists but it was more "remember this?" for me than anything. I went through my science classes at the same time Fullmetal Alchemist was popular so I kinda kept the "things need to balance in reactions" in me in the same place as the law of equivalent exchange. If you're visual maybe you can think of it in terms of legos or something but I'm not sure what else to say. But if you get the basic plain english gist of the laws of thermodynamics down, you can wing how energy moves through ecosystems somewhat ok which is how you come to understand the hierarchies. Also space is neat and I don't really know how to say Kepler was relevant because Kepler wasn't really relevant except in how it relates to 'energy is always conserved" and "equations are always balanced"I'm sorry that I don't really have good advice if you've already taken it and failed. There are GED for dummies type books and the friday before my tests I actually looked at one in a bookstore but it actually gave me more of a panic attack than I would have had had I not so I'm not sure I can recommend it. General test taking recommendations include getting enough sleep (maybe try some melatonin gummies?) and 'dressing for success' which I've never really gotten but I guess acting like you're a scary professional guy already makes you more likely to not blow over your weaknesses or something. Eat a modest breakfast before you take it - like tea and a half caprese sandwich over like a full course meat potatoes waffles and eggs kind of breakfast from a restaurant; not so much food you're bloated and whatever but not so little you're running on e. I'd also recommend not taking them all at once. One day a big and small one, next day the other two, if you can.
Don't second guess yourself, because people generally correct to being wrong for some reason. If you have time left do go over problems you remember having difficulty with but don't second guess the easy stuff.
Do an essay reread but just look for spelling/grammar errors, not substance.
I just thought of it as state testing really. Because that's really all it is. You really shouldn't stress too much over it, any more than you would those. I know you have reason to, but, like, there's nothing to be gained from stressing over it. Unfortunately I don't really know who you are or where your weaknesses lie so I don't know what to say. If you're depressed or something it really does help to take something like zoloft though - depression can basically cause adhd symptoms it turns out. That surprized me to learn, so try to mind the marginal effects of your health on your thinking. It's also why rest and moderate healthy food helps too. Two things that don't seem like they're connected might be putting you into a fog, turns out. First try meds are usually the ones where the side effects are less "will make you want to kill yourself" or "withdrawal" and more like "you'll have diarrhea for a couple days" and "you won't want to fap 7 hours straight" so don't be afraid of a first step. They won't change your thoughts, but they'll change how you feel and that might mean you're not as distracted during the test or just less jittery in general or something.

Things i hate about modern JRPG part 1
Yeah, i’m making this after playing Tales of Xillia, i got the world map and... a question, does this game have an actually open world map? or is the Tales of equivalent of Final Fantasy XIII?
but... i digress, this is a list of things that i hate about modern JRPG, in no particular order.
- Fields instead of a world map:
uhmm, guys, sice when this
is better than this?
why is this a thing? do the developers wanted to save time to, who knows, watch football, fap or something? you can’t make a field map like that without looking extremely LAZY, because that is what it is, is LAZY, i can forgive it (somehow) to games like hyperdimention neptunia, or anything from compile hearts (although, what other games do they have? Fairy fencer F? what else?) they are not jrpg’s, they are dungeon crawlers, with focus on making missions in different dungeons (just like the name specifies), but in a tales of, or any other AAA self declared JRPG game? sorry, but you can only be one kind of game, or you are a dungeon crawler focused in missions, short storywise gameplay and graphic novel elements like HDN or you are a rpg, you know, a genre that focuses in EXPLORATION... oh and story, and character development and stuff, but believe me, if you don’t enjoy how you move from point A to point B, then what is the incentive to focus in the story and the characters? oh and i’m not finished with that yet, just wait.
But, let’s be honest, this is not the biggest insult to the JRPG genre ever, i actually liked TOS:DoTNW, i liked Emil, Tenebrae and Marta, in fact, my favourite scene is when she give birth to both Batman and Superman revealing that they are secretly brothers...(ok, that scene never happened, i just wanted to make a Batman V Superman ending joke, you know, in a time when NOBODY does that joke anymore because is tired and not funny anymore) but regardless, it had it’s problems, like the pokemon-ish mechanic with the monsters that become useless once the original cast joins your team, the original cast is slow and difficult to control, the story looked like it wanted to be something, but halfway trough the game it changed its mind, the villain, the fact that the original cast are caricatures of themselves and they “just enter your team and leaves” with no impact whatsoever... so yeah, the only reason i liked the game was for the new main characters, oh, and for Decus and Alice, i really liked those two too, but... that’s it. And i said this was not the biggest insult to, not only JRPG, but RPG genre in general... BECAUSE THIS IS!!!!
-Final Hallway XIII
And yeah, if this were a top 10 from least offensive to most offensive, this would be number 1, remember when i told you that i decided to make this list when i played Tales of Xillia? well, then answer me, what is worse, a RPG with broken exploration, or a RPG with no exploration at all? with field map at least you can pass the cursor to see the world map and select the city or dungeon you want to be, but here!? is nothing but a hallway, a hallway with only oneway to go, oh wait, this one is not a hallway, it’s a Y... yeah, it’s the same, it may be a large hallway with space to explore and find... stuff, but it’s a hallway anyways, i actually had hope for the game at the begining, but i was expeting the moment when the world map opened for me, in Symphonia it kinda happened instantly, and the tutorial was just one fight and you already know the essential in the gameplay, but i thought, maybe is something like Final Fantasy VII when you had to make some story before entering the world map, i was wrong, from this point it was like if i was crossing a dungeon, one after another, waiting for my precious world map to appear, then it happened, Alvin (the only character i’m liking at this point) give me this infamous... EJEM “world map” with the only utility to teleport me to another point where i already been before, wait, you mean... something like this?
so, this far the game have been a huge Super Mario 3d world level gameplay with enemy encounters, leveling up and Final fantasy X’s crystal system of adquiring abilities (BTW i actually like this mechanic)? when i found out this i was really disapointed, because Tales of Symphonia is my favourite JRPG, i like it even more than Final Fantasy VI, and it counted with not only one, but two excelent maps to explore and travel with the rheairds, and a lot of post game content within it, a hidden treasure box somewhere in certain level that you have to teleport there to gain is not exploration, is tedious and tiring, for those persons that will tell me that the 1:1 scale in maps actually is a plus, because it makes the maps more reallistic and therefore it improves the inmersion in the game, uhm, no, just no, it actually makes it worse, unless you make a huge world like in breath of the wild or Skyrim, the only thing you are doing is a cell, a huge cell sometimes, but a cell nonetheless, i don’t feel free to explore whenever i want to like in any classic JRPG from the good old times, but instead, i feel trapped in a eternal dungeon with no escape and with only one direction to go, but hey, you can go to this hallway, and return to it later in a shameless excuse of backtracking, that counts as exploring right?
Sigh, le... lets talk about something nice, uhm, the story seem nice so far, i like Jude as a protagonist, i like Alvin so far, Milla... uhm, lets just say, i don’t like her that much, but it’s a theme for another point in this list; and, uhm... at least give it credit it’s not Final Fantasy XIII... i think.
Ok, i get it, with the new generation of games it was obvious that the genre have to change, i mean a current generation JRPG with a classic JRPG world map with enough graphical quality to apeal those who consider graphics as more important but without sacrificing the exploration factor, that would nev... oh, wait, why that sounds really familiar... oh yes, NI NO KUNI: THE WRATH OF THE WHITE WITCH, ANOTHER GAME BY NAMCO!!!!
and this game was released a year before Tales of Xillia, i mean WTF happened here, and considering that Tales of Xillia 2 suffer from the same problems that Tales of Xillia, it makes me really afraid of buying Tales of Berseria, i don’t want to play another Final Hallway XIII, i’m going to finish Tales of Xillia just because i already wasted 19.99 dollars in it, but only for that.
You wanna know what i want? a JRPG with an open world map like in Ni No Kuni, and the combat gameplay of a modern tales of game (the gameplay was the only thing Ni No Kuni lacked, but i still forgive it), that is my wet dream, in another note, i’m looking forward the sequel of Ni No Kuni, Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant kingdom, judging the trailers, it look like it’s going to the right direction
youtube
je je... i love how the first thing that the trailer show us is the world map, like it want to say: “yeah, this is what is all about”, and they are right, for any company or indie developer who want to make an JRPG, take note: you can be creative with the combat gameplay, but the map MUST stay, or else, you are stripping a JRPG what makes it a JRPG and you will make another Final Hallway XIII.
to be continued...
