‘니 얼굴이 어그로야’라는 말이 좀…well 어그로의 의미가 복잡한 것 같은데 lol i asked around and most ppl said (w/out full context anyway) that they wld think it was a bad thing like ur sooo ugly its distracting and theyd see it as an insult since it comes from 어그로를 끈다 which means like…an attention seeker (in a bad way) usually anger inducing but since 왕자처럼 생겼다고 했어 id assume they meant it in a joking way since it cant be positive (every person said its a negative meaning lmaoo)
#.txt#i was trying to also follow the korean/konglish and i mostly??? could so#learning things beyond my skill level#like 꼴 보기 싫다 and this#i had to stop picking stuff up from season b season cuz ppl were like wth u learn this this is like…middle aged man talk LMAOOOOO#i dont even have basic vocab so picking up random stuff like this is so funny to me#내가 왜 한국어로 물어봐…이해못할 줄 알아 ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ

Annie’s WotD: 꼴 (noun)
꼴 좋~다! Serves you right! Today's @WotD is 꼴. 꼴 can have 3 different meanings:
1) The shape of an object. Ex) 델타는 삼각형의 꼴을 하고 있다. A delta has the shape of a triangle.
2) A disparaging word for a person's appearance. Ex) 흉한 꼴로 나가면 망신당한다. If you go out looking disgusting you'll get humiliated.
3) A disparaging word for a person's situation or circumstances. Ex) 비참한 꼴을 당해서야 정신을 차렸다. I only came back to my senses after getting into a pitiable situation.
Common 꼴 phrases:
닮은 꼴: Someone that looks like someone else; a lookalike (literally: similar shape. Without the space, 닮은꼴 is a geometry term for "similar shape") Ex) 내 친구는 지드래곤 닮은 꼴로 유명하다. My friend is famous for being G Dragon's lookalike.
꼴 좋다: What you say when someone gets what they deserve; "serves you/them right". Ex) 나를 왕따시킨 녀석이 정학을 받았다니 꼴 좋다. The guy that bullied me got suspended? Serves him right.
꼴 보기 싫다: to not want to see someone. When you hate someone so much even looking at their face makes you mad. Ex) 그 직장 동료가 얼마나 꼴도 보기 싫었는 직장을 옮겼다. I hated that coworker so much I changed jobs.
악돌: I want to reiterate how important these sets of vocabulary are. You may not consider them important, but please read the examples! They are great expressions to know and use on a daily basis :) Thanks Annie!
