Poor thing, getting his attention was hard enough when he wasn’t popular, now Will entering his popular phase with the boys and girls 😢

I actually agree with Colette being upset about all those students wanting to be cool with Will now that he showed out on the big stage, yall were just calling him a loser before now yall wanna be friends lol.

Seems like things went from zero to 100 with Rosty today tho. Kinda figured he had a crush on Will, but damn I didn’t think he and Colette would damn near come to blows in public over it lol. “We bathe together every night and he loves me more than you Colette” 😭 bro does not hold back

Whole time Will is off being recruited by Lihanna to her Praxis team. Her design is really good, she’s so cute! “How can you look down on someone who’s defeated you” lmao COOK. Leave it to the elf dude to talk some sense into Sion and Julius because they clearly forgot their place in the pecking order

Can’t wait to see this Praxis arc, looks like shit is gonna get pretty dark, dude just popped someone’s head in the post credits scene.. I’m ready

Julius Reinberg analysis post because I can't stop rotating him in my head like a rotisserie chicken

(I was going to call it an appreciation post but he’s kind of a jerk. Love him anyways though.)

Lots and lots of manga spoilers so read at your own discretion

Julius is introduced as one of the most skilled wizards in Will's class. He's able to cast one of Elfaria's spells (albeit half as good as her). Another notable trait is his ego. He thinks he's better than others and looks down on them. At first, he's a massive jerk, but the story has him stick around after Will humbles him in their fight, and I honestly love what they do with him even though he's just a side character.

To me, Julius plays a similar to Sion as one of Will’s rivals. Both of them won’t let themselves be bested by Will which also pushes them to improve. The difference is that Sion is much more fair (I think he also kind of has an inferiority complex when it comes to Will but we won’t be talking about that today). As shown later in the manga, Julius isn't afraid to use Will to climb the tower himself.

One of my favorite moments showing Julius’ growth. Edward tells the dwarves to help the wizards even if they may die in the process and, oh look at that, Julius gets a reaction panel. He’s seemingly just as shocked as the dwarves to hear this. And then, he calls out to Gina as one of the monsters attacks, worried for her safety.

Part of Will defeating him earlier was that he had to work in the dwarves' tavern after disrespecting them earlier. And this moment shows how that affected his character. Julius didn't just take his punishment and turn back to his old ways. He came to respect and care about those he previously looked down on.

I think this is the moment that really made Julius intriguing to me because we get see what's below the surface of his character. The choice to not be kind because showing kindness only seemed to bring pain. You find out why he acts the way he acts.

It’s a moment that could definitely make him come as more unlikeable. He admits he likes looking down on others and showing off, but I think it more reveals how on the fence he is about this decision. He’s constantly reminded of when Anna told him how she loves how kind he was. He kept the pendant he gave her when he could have easily thrown it away and fully discarded the notion of ever being kind again. He hates that Will reminds him of Anna. Despite how much he wants to abandon his kindness, he’s reminded of how much it was valued. Julius is a very interesting character because there are times where he falls on one side of the fence and chooses to not be kind, but he also has times where he does because he can’t seem to fully get rid of it.

And I think this moment also shows Will's strength as a protagonist since he is able to draw out this other side of Julius (this happens with other characters like Wignall and Lihanna too). This boy is so good at seeing others’ strengths. He notices Julius’ resolve and how he follows through on his promises. He picks up on the kindness Julius thought he had left behind.

I'm so sad, HE DIDN'T DESERVE THIS!!! And Will says, "Julius was kind enough to leave us a clue." Despite Julius not believing in his own kindness, his final moments are spent creating a guardian that will help the others find out the truth.

In conclusion, I came to like Julius a lot as a character. He's initially an antagonist, but he grows and we come to learn more about his motivations. He says he only cares about himself and not others, but his actions reflect someone who's hardworking, always follows through on their promises, and can be kind.

But then I hear a suffucated "oh", and Candice slowly begins to lower her offering hand. I feel terrible for her. On the impulse of the moment, I fastly grab that small slice of orange from her hand and put it in my mouth. I close my eyes and feel my jaw tighten up at that bitter, tickling taste. "I really hate it", I think. But then, suddenly, a strong flavour fills my mouth. A gentle, fresh sweetness is at the end of the sourness. It's just like Candice said. «Do you like it, um...?» her voice interrups my thoughts. That's when I finally look at her, her kind smile and her eyes glimmering with hope. «Shayla. I'm Shayla».

9th of June

This class discussed about adolescence. According to Boyd and Bee (2015), adolescence refers to "the transitional period between childhood and adulthood". At this age, adolescence might hit puberty. Puberty is "collective term for the physical changes which culminate in sexual maturity". (Boyd & Bee, 2015)

Dr. Lihanna did asked a question to reflect: "What would you say to the younger you?" I think I would say that "You have to enjoy and cherish every moment that makes you happy. Do not think too much about the future and just live your life freely at that moment. I hope that you know the older you are very proud of you" Because as far as I remember, the younger me was very worried about the future as to the questions that she always asked such as "Can I be successful?", "Can I make my parents proud?", "Can I score and get straight A's in my exams?", "Can I make my parents proud of me?", "Do my parents proud of me?" and many more. Those were the questions that I always asked to myself and had the monologues between me and myself.

10th of June

The last class of the semester. The class discussed about final exam on 16th of June 2021 and the dateline for submissions of Case Study 4, Log & Reflection and BUBBLE Project Report. At the end of the class, Dr. Lihanna asked everyone to get ready and turn on the camera so that we can have a last picture together even though it is virtually taken. We cannot meet and have a physical class like normal because of the pandemic of Covid-19. It is so sad as this is my final semester of the degree but it is fine since I still can continue my class virtually.

Fairs I was gonna talk so much shit about Wignall, but he apologised properly to Will so he’s good in my book. This ep pretty much felt like the two of them realising how much they have in common and Wignall accepting Will as a friend.

Still think it was stupid as hell to take out your insecurities and anger on Will who you should be more empathetic than anyone else with given the similarities. I mean cmon they even both have childhood crushes who made Magia Vander and they wanna chase after lol? Names both start with W, outsiders etc etc. Was cool seeing them fight together to take down that monster and we got a taste of the full potential of Wignall’s illusion magic. Might not be as cool as some of the “elite” magic, but there’s potential there.

Sion and Julius still butting heads I see, even in a life and death situation like this lol.

Lihanna and Colette getting some nice bonding in and being open with one another, but man what a sight to run into. That headless terrorist who can use peoples’ heads is just disgusting. Then bro squeezed his own head and exploded it like a balloon?! That got dark real quick.

I don’t see why they’d want to destroy the barrier though.. lot of questions remain, looking forward to next week, should have a ton of action against that summoned beast. Hopefully the teachers get their in time to help out

For my group, my groupmates and I need to strengthen the introduction part and the grammatical errors need to be checked for the e-book. For the video, we need to add on the voiceover.
