Try this? Take a match or a stick and see how far you can throw it, yikes not that far, now take the same match or stick and by placing it in between your thumb and forefinger and flick it. What's the result, weirdly enough (I did) flick it loads further than I could actually throw it. Then taking the mechanics of actually throwing something vs the flick it makes no sense that the flick actually went further the throw had more motion more distance but the end result wasn't as good. A silly story I know, but this had me thinking that it was probably the kinetic energy from the flick, the forefinger pushing towards the stick or match and at a certain point, when the energy compounded by the thumb giving way drove the match further away than the throw. Now, why am I pondering this, mmm Perhaps if applied to life, no matter how strong your arm is or how fast you can swing it because there was no resistance it didn't help much in throwing it. The much smaller less powerful finger flick due to the resistance did way better. I take this lesson from it, when you are facing resistance, learning something staying up late going the extra mile, or merely facing some adversity which could be judged as resistance. Keep pushing. at some point, the resistance will give way and you will be further towards your endeavor than by not facing the resistance! Perhaps we then it would be advantageous to seek resistance do what is hard and difficult for it will yield a better result. Sunsets are my favorite thing each and every day when it comes to the time of day. But admittedly what I always think of when I see this wonderful painting in the sky. This morning as I opened my eyes and stared out the door I was wondering? There is a lot of days where I notice in my day that would profoundly have the slightest chance of perhaps having an impact on not only my own life but the life of all those who could experience the same and perhaps make the same assumptions about the happenings and magic of life. Perhaps it could be worthy to share what I share. At times it's super easy the day goes well and there just so many "wow" moments that everything I get to experience during the day is just so blissful and amazing. Then there are days where you get so busy you hardly have a moment to look up and notice anything. And then there are the days where you have to fight hard to see the blessings in the challenges you face. I think what I want to point to is the action of training your mind to take the lead in these days and lead your heart and soul to experience even the hardest of challenges with thanks and awe. I know it's rarely always possible but perhaps if you try making the most, most of the time. Perhaps time will deliver the best if can mostly as you would experience it as such? We could all do with a little sunshine. Why not be the ray of light that your friend, brother, mother, sister, lover needs today! One of the things that have really gotten my attention the last week was the idea that we all have the greatest tool ever in our arsenal of humanity. Now, this tool can be used for good or alternatively be used to spread the worst kind of things. I was thinking, imagine if we tried for as long as possible to use our words to positively drive the future, in everyone we know, meet, encounter. Imagine if all that came out of our mouths was encouragement, laughter, and love. What an amazing difference the world would see. I think that I believe this so strongly that I am going to try and see where I can go with this. Yes, we will probably fail more than half the time perhaps even more, like 80 percent. But worth pursuing forever I believe. Reach for the sky! Or at least just get ready to reach for the sky, make plans, follow through do what it takes. Hard work pays off. I'm sure you've heard all there is to hear about getting after all you want pushing through keeping at it. Whatever, but that's a very small part of it. It's so much more, I think at times it's not the motivational parts that push us, it's the habits, the wants for more. Yeah get your motivation in, It is a good place to take that initial step, to download that course, write that blog, or push the budget into that ad campaign. Perhaps even write that vision. But it's more than that. It is that day in day out grind facing the no's getting past the late nights and waking up saying. Im gonna go at it again, and again and again. It's the reach the stretch. No matter how much it hurts at the end of that is . . . .what? the spoils. You know I think of it as the best way to go, there is nothing better than knowing what you have done is in some small way, Your way of living your dream. I like to go to bed knowing, that I am not there, but I've damn sure given it as much as I could today! And tomorrow Im just going to keep living that dream.
