HEADS UP!!!! To all who went to Lightning In A Bottle!!! I lost this wirewrap AT the woogie stage on Friday eveing. If anyone comes across this or has found it please contact me. It is a personal wirewrap I made last year for myself, i also self collected the chunk of tourmaline at the center. It means a lot to me and I would be so happy if it found it's way back to me. I prepped quite a bit to share for this class at the festival. The staff at the event counted 264 people who showed up to practice together. This was probably the largest class I've ever taught. Over three-fourth of the class had never experienced Iyengar Yoga. It was a short class (75mins) and I kept my teaching instructions simple and the sequencing basic for beginners and also challenging enough for intermediate students. Even though I didn't get to share many of the ideas and asanas I had planned, it all worked out in the end. I didn't wish to promote Iyengar yoga by taking up time to explain why it's taught the way it is, or even the benefits of the poses or preach any spiritual philosophy. I wanted to let the principles of Iyengar yoga speak for themselves, the intelligence in alignment and sequencing benefit the physical body for itself, and let the spirit of the practice be felt from the presence of mind in sync with the body. After class I wasn't sure if it was my best effort, however I received great feedback from many students in the class, both new and regular practitioners and other teachers as well. I am grateful for having pursued Iyengar training and feel it's a honor to share the practice with such a large audience like this. Thank you @thedolab and @libfestival for having me there!
