As far as I'm concerned, this could be the best pale ale on the market. Lightly honey colored with a small off-white head, lacing the glass from first sip to last. The intense hops aroma is unexpected, as is the flavor, as it seems more an IPA than a Pale. The medium body and lightly creamy texture seem to create a similar sensation. The grapefruit is a punch and off-set by a heavy fruitiness just enough to tame the bitter and to create a satisfying balance. My enjoyment of this offering from Knee Deep is only darkened by the fact that I don’t have these in my area and will not be seeing another one any time in the future.
