Children Of Memory: So Just Who Is The Final Character To Appear?
I apologize for the incredibly vague title but I don't want to spoil the final act for people. If you haven't read Children Of Memory, don't click read more.
So, Miranda extracts Liff from the simulation at the end.
Ok, which Liff.
Straight from the no-Miranda simulation? That girl doesn't remember Miranda, isn't the girl Miranda got attached to, not really, and is going to be completely terrified.
Break into a new loop to slowly introduce her to the situation? I guess it could work but it's still not the girl Miranda started momming.
Break into the simulation, extract all the data to revive Book!Liff? The one who was becoming increasingly aware of how broken the simulation was? Well, it certainly achieves Miranda's real goal of getting her friend back, but I'm not sure it achieves her stated goal / justification of getting someone who can speak for all the other simulated colonists as to whether they'd like to be de-virtualized. Especially if the memories from the iteration where the Liff born at the very beginning of the simulated history are included.
We know MIranda failed a lot, we know she and de-sim'd Liff are close, we know that Miranda has cryptobiote data on desim'd Liff.
Damnit Tchaikovsky, there's a novella easy about what happened between 12.8 and 12.9!
I suppose, if Tchaikovsky comes back to the series and we're quite lucky Liff will be involved in book 4. Helena Holsten Lain from Children Of Time epilogue was a Children Of Ruin lead, after all.
Edit: Lol I am error there's a blink and you'll miss it clarification that Liff remembers everything.

Leeds Film Festival
Overview...
Leeds International Film Festival is one of the largest film festivals in England, arguably second to London in size, popularity and acclaim.
Founded in 1987, running for the past 37 years. It takes place from the 1st to the 17th of November, host to a variety of venues across the city. Spanning independant cinemas and venues such as the Cottage Road Cinema & The Hyde Park Picture house (HPPH), whilst also having some screenings in places such as Everyman & Vue.
The Festival has eligibility for two Academy Awards, Best LIve Action Short and Best Animated Short.
The festival is also partnered alongside the Leeds Young Film Festival (LYFF) & the INDI's Film Festival. LYFF is focused on giving experiences to younger school age children. The INDI's is targeted at those 16-25 and is built with a purpose of giving exposure to young upcoming filmmakers and providing them with potential industry connections.
Origins...
The festival was founded by Leeds local charity 'Friends Of Hyde Park Picture House', its first edition taking place in the venue of the same name,
There were fears of the HPPH being potentially bought by a bigger cinema chain due to struggling business at the time. This led the cinema to think of some new ways to attract business.
The manager at the time was opposed to the screening of art-house cinema but opted to include it amongst its regular programmes in order to bring in a new audience and expose existing audiences to new walks of cinema.
The idea was to have an event in which new films would premiere at the same time they would in London, making cinema more accesible for those in the north.
The festival found success and by its second run it had the support of the city council, granting a number of resources and opportunity to take more creative risks.

Gigi n Flutter
Ibispaint… These were both drawn by memory (I placed Flutter’s eyelashes in the wrong spot!!) and Flutter is too small for my liking but they’re fun. I initially thought Gigi was a skater girl or something , I love playing as her
