I’m really glad to hear you find the idea helpful! I was super nervous about posting that because it’s a weird sort of personal thing for me (which I know is kinda strange to get nervous about, especially given the amount of ridiculous ranting and swearing and fandom wank I normally post here with nary an ounce of shame. You know, stuff I should probably ACTUALLY be embarrassed about but am not.)

Something else in a similar vein I’ve found helpful is getting an old pair of leggings that are either stretched out or oversized, cutting the waistband off, and then sort of turning them halfway inside out so that one of the legs is inside of the other. It should look like a mermaid tail without a bottom flipper if you’ve done it right, and you can put both your legs inside of it to get pressure/restrictiveness on the lower half of your body (and lie there looking like a mermaid who narrowly escaped an unfortunate encounter with a flipper-hungry shark, but that’s beside the point).
