Life Choices Foundation is a registered charity whose main goal is to reach out to adolescents, prisoners, and those who are subject to abusive and harmful behaviors, and provide them with the tools needed to make some of life’s most important decisions. It’s not uncommon to see a young person’s life destroyed by one bad decision. However, through our programs, we teach people how to stand up and say no in the face of negative pressure, and encourage them to think about the legacy they would like to leave behind.

The Life Choices Foundation is a registered charity that supports teenagers and young adults by encouraging them to make positive decisions in all areas of their lives. By engaging with young people, our Foundation endeavours to navigate them through their difficult teen years and into adulthood, helping them to understand the impact of every decision and how, unfortunately, one wrong choice can change their lives forever.

Through our presentations, we aim to challenge students to be courageous in their decision making and to consider the consequences of each and every choice they make. We motivate them to look positively to the future and to have goals to work towards. And to look at the mistakes of the past as learning tools, not to dwell upon them and allow them to influence future choices. Through engaging and entertaining interactions, the Life Choices Foundation hopes to have a positive, long-lasting effect on its audience.

What you may not know about the Life Choices Foundation is that we also work with prisoners, detainees and others suffering from harmful and abusive behaviour. Often people become trapped in a negative cycle and don’t know how to get out of it. It’s a sad fact but people can’t be expected to do something they don’t know how to do.  Therefore, we strive to empower people by providing them with knowledge, advice and guidance so they have the information and skills they need to make better choices and improve their lives. As we say “It’s your life so make it count!”.

Another powerful aspect of what we do is assist people in taking ownership of their decisions and the consequences of those decisions. Understanding is at the source of all education. Without understanding there can be no change. To that end, the Life Choices Foundation develops entertaining and engaging presentations that don’t tell people what to do, but rather, teach them to think for themselves. We invite the members of our audience to reflect on the type of legacy they would like to create, and offer guidance on how to start working on that particular legacy. Our experienced presenter, Touring Car Masters Race Car Driver, Andrew “Fishtail” Fisher, skillfully conducts each session where rather than telling the audience members what to think, he encourages them to arrive at the answers themselves.

Something else a lot of people may not be aware of is that the Life Choices Foundation offers a range of presentations, each suited to a particular audience. This is one reason why the presentations are so popular. Each audience can relate to the subjects Andrew speaks about and each person feels as though he may very well be speaking directly to them. Rather than a lecture, the Life Choices presentations encourage freedom of thought and expression. Only by the sharing of experiences can others realize what they have in common, and that if others in the same situation can rise to the top and shine, then so can they!
