THANK U MEOW MEOWJOY ^_^ i will talk about roseflight because i have been thinking about Her lately (oc tag / oc blog)

roseflight is main boy shadowpath's older sister (not by very much but she. certainly acts like its a lot). shes Basically (at least at the start of the story) an opposing force to him -- the most blatant example being that after they become apprentices, she attempts to bond with her other colony-members while he. refuses to do that

the context tldr is that her/shadow's mom got exiled for some pretty severe crimes and the hate of her (cardinalgaze) has been projected onto her children by the colony. shadow takes a very cynical stance, arguing that no matter what they do, the colony will always shun them

rose believes if she works hard enough she can "earn" the colony's respect and eventually be seen as an equal. which obviously is very difficult since the reason she is distrusted is entirely out of her control -- thats kind of an ongoing theme in her life... things happening that are out of control which she must suffer the repercussions of

she is friends with this guy called honeybloom who is considered by most of the colony as an example of what everyone should strive to be. so you can imagine that this relationship is uhmm interesting. shes a little obsessed with him ?

rose is very outgoing and hopeful and works fantastically with others ^_^ shes focused and hardworking! and yet no matter what she does the colony seems to keep her attached to her estranged mother! i sure do wonder if this will have any severe impacts on her emotional well-being later down the line! anyway,

1 year since this song came out, a part of one of my favourite albums of all time. 

It’s kinda corny how this song (especially the second half) makes me feel. It came out at a very transitional, happy and distressing period in my life, I loved it on the first listen. Listening to it gives me both a melancholy nostalgia but also anxiously excited for what the future has in store.

This song never fails to revitalise and uplift me.

It’s like if a Zelda Heart Container was a song.
