I think it's cool that some people who are recovering / have recovered from and ED post about the stuff they used to believe and all the nasty dieting stuff that surrounds us in our daily lives.
But also literally all of the triggering dieting and ED mindset things I hear in my daily life are from video like "Part 15 of horrible things people say to fat people" or "KAREN yells at me for wanting sugar in my coffee! (Sketch)" Or "exactly step by step how I and others starve themselves (this is so silly and bad haha!)"
And I 100% do not believe anyone is doing it on purpose, but as a fat person who has not developed an ED but has some disordered thinking when it comes to food, this is so the opposite of helpful. Often these types of tiktokers try to promote anti-diet culture and that's cool to see sometimes, but at the same time 75% of their videos are full of talking about exact disordered eating habits (gives my brain ideas to latch onto) and showcasing societal pressures and justifications for EDs (giving my brain logic to think this is normal).
Like it doesn't matter if you are "making fun of the silly logic of diet culture", you are still putting that shit out into the world. As a person with intrusive thoughts it extra sucks since my brain really latches onto it. Idk. Tiktok bad I guess.
