Body of tourist guide, drowned in Tarsar Lake in Pahalgam, retrieved: Officials

Notably, the incident happened at Tarsar Lake in Sikwas area of Pahlgam, when a group of 13 tourists including three local guides were on way for sight-seeing on Wednesday.

Yesterday 23rd June 2019 the Jammu & Kashmir Mountaineering and Hiking Club @jkmhc organized a day trek to beautiful meadow of Burzimal (Green Top) in Aru Pahalgam overlooking Sindh valley and lidderwath the base for tarsar marsar trek and kolhoi glacier. With 52 participants on board the trek started from Srinagar at 6am. Trek at glance No of participants 52 Highest altitude 3300 mt Total didtance 14 kms Trek grade moderate Thanks to club President @mahmood.a.shah.5 for organizing the trek and thanks to trek leaders @sunnysajadhyder @str_adventures @Ahmad Adil and Salik Abbas. Thanks to all participants for making the day worth and special thanks to Mr Jagjit Singh for welcoming the group with breakfast at Aru Eco Resorts.
