The story is a powerful and beautiful story about colorism and learning to love our skin tone.  I wish I had a book like this because I had profound issues with my skin color. Also, I had an unsettling belief I was an imposter for many years. To this day, I still have people making comments about my skin color, including from fellow Italians, Americans, and Jamaicans. This book will teach kids the beauty of their skin color and how we all are beautiful. We all belong.
