Love is Blind - Episodes 1-4

Feels like I should just start sideblogs now that I'm branching into so many fandoms, but oh well they're all the same genre with overlapping fandoms so you get to deal with it.

Initial thoughts...

It goes too fast. Way too fast. I get that a lot of the show is based on the wedding planning stuff, etc, but we get 1-2 dates with these guys and have to choose based on those?? In some cases you're getting proposed to on your first date?!?!

I would've preferred the dates portion get spread out over a longer period. It'd be nice to get to know the other women a bit better, have more time to spend with them, have more rivalries and love triangles. Just flesh it out a little more

At first I thought I was gonna just play this once and that was it, but... well... I have 3 profiles already for THTH so I used them all and have 3 ongoing routes

Part of that was because the people I was chatting with when I first started playing met different people, so of course we had to figure out the variations and meet everyone! But I also liked more guys than I expected

Nico's my first and main love, I'm apparently a sucker for an accent and he's got the right mix for me. Sexy, dangerous, but he's looking to settle down. Perfect!

I had the mystery man glitch at first so I didn't get the mystery man dialogue with Nico but it's the same for everyone

In that sense it's a little disappointing that the sleepover date and mystery man stuff is shared dialogue/gifts but whatever - I give them a little leeway because it's the first season

I'm with Blaze on another route but also want Zayid - however I did a route where I didn't accept any proposals and got dumped, but a week later got a call from Sofia, who said I'm going to Mexico. So I get another chance and can't wait to steal Zayid from Autumn!

Overall, at first I was kinda meh on it but it grew on me. I think it's a tough show to translate to a game so for that reason I understand why they rushed through the first few episodes, but in future I would like to see a bit more of the pods (especially since that's what gets heavily promoted for the show) and get to know the characters better before accepting proposals.

I caved and played the love is blind game from last year while waiting for thth3 and it's so cute the romance in the beginning and the boys personalities are top tier and the friendships with the girls 🤗

And then because I don't watch love is blind I didn't realize you had to get engaged to move on, so I was like wtf and had my MC reject Zayid's proposal, then Nico's proposal, then not even talk to Blaze and I fully thought it was gonna be like ok game over try again 🤣. But after that it was enjoyable but not as fun as the meeting the guys and drama in Mexico (the latter may be bc I was going for Zayid instead of Blaze despite being engagrf to Blaze, like i think if i was loyal id be bored) but i did not like the becoming the TV host storyline?? then the cheating thing with the ex showing up out of nowhere was weird too idk mixed feelings on it but I am replaying bc I did not meet Danny and I wanna meet Danny

oh also I forgot about the prince thing anyway my MC is a princess now (as she should be like look at her)

Love is Blind Game - Episodes 5-13

Okay this game isn't over yet but I haven't shared thoughts on these episodes and I have to say something now.

What. The. Fuck.

I don't even know what's going on anymore, it's a mess.

I already thought the time in the pods was too short and I would've liked to spend more time getting to know the guys. But the quick pacing just hasn't stopped and now the show is over and I'm waiting for the game to end but it just keeps going??

There's so much contrived drama. The stuff with Autumn that barely makes any sense if you're loyal to your LI, the ex that tries to break up your wedding, more Autumn stuff that makes no sense. Then you have to share your honeymoon and suddenly the paparazzi are getting pictures of you (but like... the show isn't live? how do they even know anything yet?!). Lamar and Sofia keep showing up in person for stuff when they could just call us, and now they're announcing their pregnancy and we might be the new hosts? WHERE'S THE OPTION TO SAY NO THANKS?! And now this cheating stuff from the bachelor party is coming back (oh yeah, forgot to mention that little tidbit).

I DON'T CARE. I JUST WANT A HAPPY ENDING WITH MY MAN. END THE DUMB THING ALREADY!!!

Apologies to anyone who's enjoying this game, I'm literally only playing it because the episodes take 5 minutes to play, but I had 3 profiles and I'm only playing 1 now because the others aren't interesting anymore and they've all merged anyway.
