Meet the Volunteer: Lianne

Hey! My name is Lianne, and I’m a new volunteer with Fanhackers. I started writing fanfiction as a kid before I even knew what it was, and my first foray into fandom was through watching anime and writing fanfiction with my middle school friends. Over the years, I’ve had much love for the Percy Jackson and the Fire Emblem fandoms, as well as other video game communities like those of Celeste and Hades. I love fandom for providing me a safe place to be creative, explore my identities, and meet some of the most amazing friends!

As an undergraduate, I studied American studies and English literature with a special interest in archives and queer studies. I’m most interested in learning about fandom as an imaginative queer space and about anticapitalist modes of fandom production (like zines!). I’m not an academic, but some of the ideas I grappled with in an academic context have helped shape my understanding of myself, the histories to which I’m connected, and how I want to participate in my local and global communities—fandom is one of those! I’m hoping Fanhackers will be a way for me to continue that line of exploration alongside like-minded others. You’ll likely see posts from me on topics in the general intersections of queer, fan, and game studies. My first few posts will highlight the most recent issue of Transformative Works and Cultures, “Trans Fandoms.” Looking forward to being in community with you all!

A plain and regular Intro and Bio

Hello! This is Lianne Saikoro! I am an awkward and cringy being who is trying to find and love themselves.  They/them/she/her

Scorpio Sun, Virgo Moon, Aquarius Rising, Hufflepuff, INFP 4w5. Digital Artist. Aspiring Musician/Singer. Full-time Daydreamer. Procrastinator. Hopeless Romantic. Mario Party Enthusiast.  I don’t think myself as a hardcore gamer, but I might be casually interested in Super Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Kirby Persona 3-5, Fire Emblem Awakening-Three Hopes, Pokemon, Obey Me, Final Fantasy 6, Warioware, Your turn to die, Animal Crossing, Earthbound, Mother 3, Rhythm Heaven, Splatoon, I might like other things but I don’t remember at this time. Not sure what fandom I’m really passionate on, I just enjoy them most of the time.  The things I like: The skies, flying, music, dreamy things, cute things, casino things...(such as dice), coffee, randomness, the thought of traveling a lot someday, creating things (but is shy in sharing them or don’t know how), my family and my friends. shiny things, flashy things, pretty things, magical stuff, Cats and dogs, Favorite Pokemon types are Psychic, Fairy, Flying, Steel, Dragon. Favorite flower is Rose Favorite color: Rainbow, but if I have to choose, between Blue, Purple, Pink, Red, and Yell-- I can’t choose I’m sorry...

Things I dislike: mainly my phobias (spiders, falling, drowning, dying in general.). being a perfectionist, politics, being bored, hurting people feelings without meaning to, making mistakes that hurts people’s feelings, 

I’m terrible at making a conversation and jokes and memes goes over my head, I would still want to get myself out there and become friends with people. So if you’re somewhat interested to get to know me more, feel free to send me an ask, but I might be awkward and quiet at first.

Side note: please understand that Travelling warriors was inspired by Fire Emblem, and as a result, many things are similar. I do not intend on copying Intelligent Systems, it was merely an inspiration.                                       Different types of units

-Cavaliers are mounted units. they wield Lances and swords and mount horses. An experienced Cavalier will be promoted into a Great Cavalier or a Mounted Knight. A Great cavalier will wield a lance and a sword. A mounted knight will wield a lance and an axe.

-Pegasus knights are mounted and flying units. They have a pegasus as a mount. They wield lances and is a female exclusive Unit due to Pegasi favouring Females over males. An experienced Pegasus Knight may be promoted into a sky-high Knight, who wield lances and staves, or a dark Sky-high Knight, who wield lances and tomes

-Myrmidons are Infantry units. They wield swords and are typically very quick. An experienced Myrmidon may be promoted into an Agilade or a Scout. Agilade’s will wield swords and daggers, while a scout will wield Daggers, Bows and swords.

-Knights are Armoured units. They wield Lances. An experienced Knight can be promoted into a Knight Lord, who wield lances, axes, and swords, or to a Mounted Knight which would wield lances and axes.

-Mages are infantry units, however, they are able to walk across sandy terrain like normal. They wield tomes. A mage will be promoted into either a sage, who wields tomes and staves, a sorcerer, who will wield tomes, or a mounted Mage, who will wield tomes and swords.

-Clerics and priests are infantry units. (that’s what I am!) we use staves to heal, and when we become really experienced, a cleric will promote into a war cleric, and a priest will become a great priest. war clerics use staves and axes, and great priests will use staves and daggers.

-Valkyries are Mounted units. They use staves and when promoted will become Tacticians. Tacticians wield staves, swords, and tomes.

-Dragon lords are mounted and flying units. They use a dragon as a mount. Their weapon of choice is axes. When promoted, they will be Dragon Masters. Dragon Masters can use axes and swords.

-Axers are armoured units. They use axes as weapons. Promoted, they will become knight lords which wield axes, lances and swords, or wildnings, which wield axes.

-Archers are infantry units. They use bows as weapons and promote into snipers, scouts, or mounted snipers. Snipers use bows, scouts use bows, daggers and a sword. Mounted snipers use bows and daggers and mount a horse.

                             -Unique units-Unique units don’t promote-

-Mercenaries are typically infantry units that use any weapon of their choosing. Will fight for the right price

-Bards are infantry units that use lances. They allow extra movement by singing/playing an instrument

-Dancers are infantry units that use swords. They allow extra movement by dancing.

-Merchants are infantry units that use lances for self-defence. May reward you if you save them

-Tailors are infantry units that use daggers. May reward you if you save them

-Nobles are Infantry units that can use any single weapon. May reward you if you save them.

-Prima donnas are infantry units. They use swords and tomes. They allow extra movement by using unique magic

-Draco-Skins are flying units. They are human-like creatures that transform into Dragons.

-Wolf-claws are Infantry units. They are human-like creatures that transform into Wolves.

-Maids are Infantry Units. They use Daggers to protect their master

-Butlers are Infantry units. They use bows to protect their master.

                                             Different types of terrain

-plains are neutral in terms of movement. Every unit on the field will be able to move normally

-forests slow down mounted units. Flying units are not affected by this. Infantry units stay the same. Aglides, scouts and armoured units get boosted movement.

-deserts slow down all units. Mages, aglides, scouts and flying units are not affected by this.

-plateaus boost all units but slow flyers. Tacticians are not affected by this.

-Urban terrain boosts all infantry units and slows flyers, armoured units, and mounted units.

-mountain terrain slows armoured units and mounted units. Flyers and tacticians are not affected. Archers get boosted movement

-Una of Fainr wields the legendary Fioneto Bow. He is a famous Fainrian mounted sniper. He works for the royal family.

-Cellami of Galoi wields the Legendary Gradit Lance. She is the former retainer for Prince Salem. She is a Dark sky-high knight

-Prince Ty of Camen wields the legendary Sujik Gem Bow. he is a Sniper.
