Project Ideas

At current I have 3 ideas, 2 of which are inspired by the suggested themes of the project brief and the third is based on a personal project.

Idea 1

My first idea is based on the Dystopia/Utopia theme is the story of a scavenger in a post-apocalyptic world  trying to survive whilst glimpsing back to her life before the world went to shit.

Idea 2

Idea number 2 is based on the theme of Real Life Stories. The story I am considering is about a mother that finds out she has cancer and how she deals with this. The story is based on Mum and her experience battling cancer.

Idea 3

And the third, the wild card, based on a personal project called Event Horizon intended by as sci-fi action adventure comic book.

- Story Treatment

In a futuristic world not too unlike our own, a brilliant scientist is enlightened by beings from beyond the stars. He discovers a primordial energy that has the capacity to thrust the world into a new era for peace and prosperity but the beings he trusted had their own agenda. Now our characters have to deal with the far-reaching consequences of his actions as their lives and the entire world is changed forever.

I have already written a short section of the story, the first chapter (8000+ words), but I chose to go with this option I would make an original story based on this world and its characters.

I am still unsure which idea I will move forward with. Ideally I would create a piece based on Event Horizon and the world and I already have but I also think my second idea about cancer could be a strong story if i do it right. Of the three my Dystopia/Utopia idea is my least favourite. It feels the most generic and flat of them.
