On episode 35 of She And Her Perfect Husband. And I'm so glad that Qin Shi's secret is finally out. It felt like watching a train wreck in slow motion because you just knew that the fall-out would be bad.

I loved the difference of attitude towards Qin Shi's secret that Tao Junhui & Yang Hua presented, they were polar opposites. Tao Junhui told her to deny, deny, deny because nobody could prove otherwise. Yang Hua told her to simply come clean, to tell the truth and face the consequences because not matter her motives, she had done wrong and admitting it was the right thing to do, only then would she be able to move on.

It was like with Qin Shi and Jason, that sleaze who betrayed Yang Hua four years ago and destroyed his life. It looked like Qin Shin was willing to bed him just to get ahead, there were pics and everything. Tao Junhui rushed to her rescue, prepared to stop her from doing it, but Yang Hua didn't. Not for a moment did he think that Qin Shi would compromise herself like that, because he trusted her and her morals and her integrity. He feared for her safety with Jason but he never suspected her of cheating.

It's actually quite amazing. Both Tao Junhui and Yang Hua are good people, smart and capable. But there's little that Tao Junhui wouldn't do to get ahead or to achieve his goals. For Yang Hua, there are lines that he won't cross. I think it's because of what happened to him all those years ago, when he was betrayed. He admitted it himself that he would be a different person today if that hadn't happened. Unlike Tao Junhui, in a crucial moment in his life Yang Hua was torn down and trampled and that made him... kinder, I guess.

Synopsis :

My thoughts on this drama :

The title of the drama is off putting. It even sounds silly. The story is not. It's about friendship. It's about teamwork. It's about unity toward a same goal. And you know what, it's beautiful! My main dislikes about the drama (and that's what made the rating go down) are the overly bubbly main female lead (too childish, too pink, not clothed well enough) and the repetitive flashbacks that ended up looking like fillers to make it look longer... Otherwise, the characters are all amazing in their own right, and you cannot help to like them all. A special thought for lil' Demo, who's too pure for this world. The main male lead is extremelly charismatic, in the brooding way (but damn when the guy smiles, it's night and day). The gaming/computer programming competition were interesting, though I'm still a bit confused as to what CTF was (I feel like they never explained it in details). A great watch, I recommand.
