LG: Yoga establishes universal happiness worldwide by breaking the walls...
Best wishes on the 9th International Yoga Day. I also wish good luck to everyone, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha while participating in the yoga in Srinagar.   The theme of Yoga Day is 'Yoga For Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' . It underlines the vision of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi of One Earth-One Family-One Future. In the whole world, from Europe to America, Africa to Australia, from South Asia to the Middle East, in every country, yoga has established the concept of universal happiness by breaking the walls of religion, sect and language. The same feeling is visible in every corner of the world today on the auspicious occasion of Yoga Day. It is also visible in the Botanical Garden of Srinagar, LG said. This ancient and rich tradition of our country is based more on prevention than treatment for better health. Yoga is an unprecedented strength of our traditional system of medicine in keeping people healthy in India through yoga. It is the science which India has given to the whole world through Yoga. It is an extraordinary force that can eliminate stress and make the body disease free. And you can get a health guarantee for the whole year without any premium. By removing the crowd and achieving the centre in our personality, Yoga discipline simply means transforming order within. Yoga by eliminating physical and mental disorders brings body and mind in harmony in one rhythm. And the body will behave the way you want from your inner centre. In today's run-of-the-mill life, yoga also makes a person naturally mindful. Also keeps his physical and mental system peaceful. And as the fitness level increases, it also works to reduce cardiovascular risk. Yoga is the medium that brings changes in lifestyle and makes everyone healthy. Along with making every citizen healthy, it also works to bind everyone in the thread of unity, the Lt Governor said. It was a great sight, a gathering of 6000-7000 people. Taking this theme we involved people saying the whole universe is one so we have to have oneness, said yoga practitioners. This oneness brings yoga discipline teaching us to align the mind, body and soul, said participants. Yoga is a physical exercise that connects our physical bodies with nature. It connects our souls with nature. It suits our minds, one female remarked. As far as we students are concerned, we are so stressed and we should do yoga. It’s not that we are Muslims and we cannot do exercise, a Muslim student pointed out. I recommend everybody to do yoga at home everyday because it is important for the body as well as the soul. Yoga is our legacy, part of our culture. Yoga is a lifestyle promoting our mental, physical and spiritual health, said yoga enthusiasts.

A professor once said that if you did not know history you didn't know anything. You are a leaf that did not know that it was part of a tree, LG said. You represent a generation that has Vedas in one hand and Artificial Intelligence in the other. The best balance of these two will make you stand out, LG said to the IIM students. In today’s competitive environment, this quality will provide you an edge and what IIM Jammu is known for. In the marketing language, brand recall value and brand repositioning is of great importance. IIM Jammu branding will help you all in your journey. It is a matter of happiness that you are entering your field of work at such a time. Under the guidance of the PM Narendra Modi, not only India is progressing towards becoming the world’s most powerful economy but also becoming the world's biggest knowledge economy and eager to get the title of largest economy. And I believe it's only a few steps away, LG said. Such institutions will take us forward in this direction. The PM has given the youth not only the gift of National Education Policy but also the strong platform of Digital India and its powerful tools. From the unique combination of human capabilities and artificial intelligence, the youth can fulfil their aspirations, resolutions and dreams to make the nation proud, LG said. The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, in Tier II and Tier III cities, the situations that are building up during the BJP rule and as the PM says, talent is not restricted to big cities. LG Sinha talks to DPS Srinagar students about inculcating curiosity, cre...
It is a matter of pleasure for me that I am present in DPS Srinagar today among the children. I consider it my good fortune that I have got a chance to meet you, said the Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha. He said that books are actually like telescopes which give children a chance to peep into the universe. He said the boundary wall is different from the common syllabus. It's a school where the environment of learning exists, where the existence of self is born.   It is the same school where curiosity, creativity, individuality are inculcated in the children. It is only at the school where the seed of curiosity, creativity and individuality can be sown in the children. In true sense, education is also the same that creates curiosity, which gives an opportunity to enhance their creativity and help achieve individuality. Rest of the syllabus will come automatically, said the Lt Governor. These three elements are such that to get them, not the classroom, but the sky of courage and imagination is needed. I have my own definition of education that I want to mention. I have studied mathematics. He who reads mathematics will also prove it. I believe that this is a journey of life, of the self. A journey of inner self. If we identify the child with his inner self, then definitely the child will move forward, LG remarked. He said the country was waiting for a long time for NEP 2020. The National Education Policy made by the PM Narendra Modi needs to be applied.   I am happy that DPS Srinagar apart from the syllabus has made efforts to inculcate curiosity and individuality in students. I am a bit of an optimist, LG said. I have full faith that in the coming days, the country will regain that glory. The children of DPS found the Lt Governor’s talk about the education sector and extra curricular activities amazing. It was a good experience for the school. The children were touched by the things the Lt Governor said, how the children should change and rectify and what he will be doing to enhance the education sector. He was more like a teacher to us. The Lt Governor coming to the school was a wonderful experience for us. He talked like an elder and a mentor to us. We all have elders in our families and he occupies that place in our hearts, students said. We understood one thing that we are a part of this government. The motto of this government ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ is being followed, said children of DPS Srinagar.
