This is a sequel to The Spotlight's Your Hiding Place. You don't strictly need to have read that one to understand this one but it'll help

I will place relevant content warnings on each part but this smau deals quite heavily with sexual assault (in the form of a non-consensual kiss and the aftermath), blackmail, conservatorships, and past abuse. Simply put, Caleb Gets Worse.

Alex and Reggie are Julie's adopted brothers. Alex chose to keep Mercer as his last name because he didn't want to let his birth parents take away any part of his identity.

Flarrie and Juke are married at this point. Alex and Willie are engaged and live together, same with Bobby and Reggie, and Nick lives on his own.
