going back to her strategy of muttering vocabulary under her breath in an attempt to memorize as much japanese as she could, jaekyung somewhat forgets about her surroundings. in her quest to study diligently, she doesn’t realize how her voice gets a tiny bit louder and the pronunciation of her words sounding like anything but the words she was trying to utter. 

especially muffled around her lunch as she sits in the cafeteria the words sound more and more like the things one is certain weren’t meant to be uttered out aloud but jaekyung was so lost in her learning process that she didn’t bother to stop and check if anyone were to hear her uttering- no less someone that was actually capable of speaking and understanding the language.

Haemin nodded at Yuuki's words, his face struggling to remain neutral. It was just really endearing whenever the other spoke Korean, kind of clunky but with good intent. He probably sounded the same if he attempted to rustle up his three Japanese phrases that he'd retained from rote learning. Actually, he would probably sound worse; Yuuki was actually making sentences that made sense and could be understood. What a trooper.

"Main dancer, huh?" he replied with a nod. "That's a good goal to have. I'm sure that one day you will be the main dancer in a group, you seem really confident!" Haemin smiled encouragingly at the other and gave him a thumbs up. "But who knows, maybe you'll find something else and change your dream to become... best choreographer or something."

never afraid of making himself seem silly to make other people crack a laugh, yuuki returned a satisfied nod at the chuckle. he had expected that haemin was older than him, but found it hard to determine just how much. however, from knowledge, only old people wooed the youth gone past. only old people would call someone his age young with such emphasis. thus he offered his best words of comfort. "do not worry. even if old person, still much time ahead!"

suddenly it made more sense why this senior was attempting this opportunity. it made sense for someone who actually wanted to pursue acting to long for a musical main role. some might assume yuuki's own conviction weaker as he didn't actually want to pursue acting the same way, but if you were to asked him every reason was equally valid. "oh, it is cool to know what you want to do!" he complimented. "i dance what is taught, but best friend says i must aim for main dancer. i will do my best. to become cool dancer!"

When Takako had warned Yuuki that she'd make sure he'd shape up and take being a Legacy trainee seriously, she'd made good on her word, ten times over. Whenever normal practices were done for the day, she'd drag him to a free space to drill him on what he'd learned and offer critique about (in other words, bitch about) his performance.

That's not to say she was completely heartless. Sometimes 'extra practice' was just consisted of taking him to a convenience store or cafe with her and getting him to practice his Korean by buying something while she doled out the cash. And sometimes it was simply hanging out and chattering back and forth in both Korean and Japanese.

Like tonight.

Sitting on the floor of a free practice room, surrounded by textbooks and water bottles, Takako idly started playing with the charms on her bag, hands unconsciously wandering over to a soft and well-worn (well-loved) orange and white plush.

"Say, Yuuki-oppa..." she began in Korean, giggling at the look that was given to her in response before continuing in their mother tongue.

「If Waddle Dee is Kirby's enemy, why is he shaped like a baby? Or like a friend? It's a bit mean, right?」 Grinning at the utterly bewildered look on Yuuki's face at her question, she detached Waddle Dee from her bag and held him to to her face, making a particularly 'cute' expression.

hello guys! i come with a plot call for the first time since... i joined wow! i have recently dropped almost all of my threads and kinda need to get back in the groove of it. unfortunately, we’re going to have to brainstorm together for non-event stuff, because my creativity has been drained by the trimester change is currently mia. for those who don’t know milan or don’t know her much, i’m using this post to make a small reintro, an update and a tracker all in the same place.

to make things easier, please leave a like if you are interested in plotting in general or comment debut preparation, novascope or nova iueventa if you are interested in a specific event ! i want to rp with as many nova girls and boys (yes that’s how i call yall) as possible lol !

good to know: milan (20) is a small town girl who moved to korea 4 years ago. she joined legacy in january 2021, and as of april 2023 is part of the debut lineup of nova. she’s extroverted, bright and strives to make people around her happy. she also doesn’t fear approaching new people... unless she biases them (current biases: type zero’s dowoon and nathan + nathan’s manager). she’s a big kpop stan but her ultimate groups are type zero and nova (biases everybody; mega girlcrush hayoung; puppy x koala of eunhye). on the other hand, she doesn’t like revealing too much of herself to others, especially her worries and negative traits. she doesn’t let people near and is likely too attached to the only person she truly can be herself with. 

lately: future dreams hasn’t been an easy challenge for any of the contestant, and milan is no exception. since the debut bootcamp, milan has been painfully aware of how much she’s lacking, and future dreams has made her develop a full blown imposter syndrome (that she has kept to herself for now). making it in nova hasn’t ease any of that, quite the opposite

nowadays: after the finale, milan has only taken the time to meet with her best friend ( @lgcxnoeul​ ) before leaving for her hometown for almost the rest of the week. outside of noeul, the only person she has directly talked about the results of the finale is @lgcakio​​. during her time away, she’s been quite introspective and, being a practicing catholic, turned to the bible to find encouragement and teachings that could help her go through her currently worries. for now, she’s still seeking, and spends most of her alone free time reading her bible. 

private matters: milan isn’t just seeking guidance for her worries concerning her career, but for heart matters too. she still has experience when it comes to flirting and relationships, but she does have feelings for someone who, unfortunately, she knows doesn’t and wouldn’t reciprocate her feelings. however, this knowledge is not enough to make her heart change what it desires, much to her dismay and, at times, sadness.

some advice, with @lgcyuuki

          yohan wasn’t too excited for the image workshops, mainly because he felt like everyone would be eyeing him considering he was part of the reason everyone was in this position right now. so when he stepped into the room and initially went to take a seat further in the back, he paused in his steps and reconsidered for a moment. he had to prove he deserved to be here, and he wanted nothing more than to stay, to prove himself and show what he had to offer. so was sitting in the back after everything the best idea? he didn’t want to seem like he didn’t care, because he did, even if he was still feeling beaten down by it all. so with a deep breath, he moves further to the front, taking a seat in the first row (because then, at least he didn’t have to really look at anyone just in case they gave him a look that made him want to sink into the chair).

          truth be told, it wasn’t too bad, he thought it was going to be worse and he would feel like a lot of it would be directed at him, but he soon realised that it was catered for everyone, so he felt way more at ease. the exercise actually were insightful, and he could definitely say he would walk away with better knowledge on how to handle situations and what to do in them, and how to be more careful. which was the one thing he had to be certain of now, and for a while. he didn’t want to do anything that could get him kicked out of legacy, so making sure to be careful was the biggest thing he wanted to learn.

          beside him was yuuki, who he knew spoke japanese, and yohan was glad he could speak a little bit of japanese too, so at least he would converse with him in both languages. he remembers the first time he was learning japanese and how tricky a new language was, and still is. he didn’t quite know how to start the whole conversation without making it too obvious he was talking about his own experiences, but he feels like no matter how, people would probably put two and two together. “one thing i’ve learned, is to be cautious and considerate. some situations can land you in hot water, so lately i’ve learned to be more careful of how i interact with people and where, i didn’t realise things like that would have a big impact..” yohan says in a mix of japanese and korean, to the best of his ability as he looks at yuuki, wondering if he understood it all. “did that make sense?” he asks in japanese, a soft, light chuckle following after.

「♆ NAP TIME ♆」

These past few months have been very busy and stressful for Tee. Between the evaluation group, Future Dreams, and now preparing for debut, his schedule was packed. Honestly, Tee was exhausted. He had so much running through his mind and he had a lot of things to prepare and practice. He had just been revealed as a new V&A member through their first vlog and his debut with V&A was coming up soon. He was nervous and uneasy.

As per his m.o, when Tee had something upcoming, he spent ages preparing and practicing on his own. Tee had been rehearsing for the past hour and was very, very tired. So as soon as he sat down, his eyes closed and he fell asleep.

Unbeknownst to him, someone was also in the rehearsal room. Of course, due to exhaustion, his eyes remained closed. He only hoped that @lgcyuuki​ wouldn’t mind the sleeping corpse off to the side of the room.

jaemin wasn’t sure who else he could convince to go on this journey with him but he’d seen so many youtube videos about it at this point, he probably would’ve cried if he asked and someone turned him down. he was far too excited and it was perhaps a bit obvious as a result when he came to yuuki, an expectant smile already spread across his boyish features as he grinned. “yuuki!” he chimed, finding the other during her meal and slipping to sit across from her with his own packed lunch.

“did you miss me?” he continued, the japanese rolling off of his tongue easily as he greeted her in his normal fashion. he’d spent a good amount of time throughout middle school and high school studying japanese and though he didn’t go to university, he still kept up his studies even in legacy and it helped to have someone he could practice with as well. “do you have plans after training today? there’s something i really want to do and i think you might like it too.” he led into the explanation. “i also don’t want to go alone.”

It’s Your Girl Soyounuuuh Oh yeah! 003

First of all, Soyoun and I would like to thank the powers that be, both IC and OOC for allowing this to happen, again. Soyoun’s show “100 SONGS WITH SOYOUN” is one of the shows that’ll be airing on V-Live. Woooo! With this, Soyoun needs guests who’ll be willing to participate.

Before you guys click that like button, I should let you all know what your kids will be getting into.

Soyoun and her guests have to be able to sing 100 SONGS. These songs will be from different genres. (a mix of Korean music, Western music, and songs from the home country of foreign guests). 

NEW SEASON, NEW FORMAT, BUT STILL THE SAME AMOUNT OF CHAOS WE ALL KNOW AND LOVE.

For this season, the staff will be playing the first five (5) seconds of the song. Now, it’s up to Soyoun and her guest to be able to guess the song and sing it! First one who grabs the stuffed toy in the middle gets to sing the song and wins the point. If the person who grabs the stuffed toy is unable to get the point, the other person has a chance to sing and get the point instead. Whoever wins gets a prize, while the loser has to do a silly punishment.

when it came to doing stuff, yuuki would often find huge motivation out of nowhere, and a certain restlessness to do it he couldn’t quite explain other than if he didn’t, it would annoy him. that was how he had initially found himself in the company building rather than in his dorm even though it was past his own practice hours - he had no work today anyway, so it seemed reasonable to act upon the urge to go through the routine he had been learning today.

at least that had been the initial plan until he suddenly became doubtful about a little detail and had to look it up, when the beat made him think of another song that he had to hear. then a dog video in the thumbnails caught his attention and now, half an hour later, he was leaning against the door playing a rhythm game on his phone, practice long forgotten.

a sudden force against his back made it clear to him that he was blocking the entrance, and with a loud: “ah! sorry!” he scooted aside to allow passage. then, but a single later another yell followed this time in his mother tongue: “oh my god no! my combo!”

returning to regular trainee activities after filming two performance videos for fuure dreams? how can the company expect that from any of them? 'oh! here's a life changing opportunity, but btw, you're going to need to go back to being normal trainees until an undertermined amount of time'. cruelty, is what milan think this is. her usual propensity to get distracted during lessons has thus been even worse than usual on this day, and as a result, she has to spend extra hours practicing. not before a decently long break and a bit of a snack.

procrastination done, she heads to a room that should be empty at this hour. and considering she cannot hear any loud music from the corridor, she chances open the door only to meet a slight resistence. a harder push seems to the trick but trigger something unexpected. first, an excuse, second, a yell and some words in... japanese? yes totally japanese. her brain does take a few seconds to decode said words, but what the male (she has by now seen the owner of the voice and passed the doorframe) said isn't too complicated. "combo?" she repeats with a slight frown, imitating the accent. what combo? then her eyes lands on the phone he's holding in his hands and she lets out of gasp as she understands. "oh no! combo!" she might not be a gamer herself, but she has played several rhythm game during high school to pass time. yes, this is a rhythm game. "i'm so sorry!" the girl exclaims, genuinely feeling bad for what she has caused. she wants to say a thousand things, but his words still ring in her head, plus she's fairly certain she has never seen this face around legacy before. she might have been away from the place for 3 months because of the debut bootcamp, this can still only mean a single thing; this is a new trainee from the january batch. exciting! "you're new right? i'm yu milan! a trainee here. oh wait... do you speak korean?"
