ー The scene starts in Kino’s room at the Ghouls’ manor

Kino: Take a seat wherever you’d like. Or would you rather talk while standing?

Yuma: ...

Kino: Aah, are you worried about Yui? Then you should have let her come with you.

Yuma: I nearly did, but I felt like we might talk ‘bout some stuff I’d rather not have her hear. 

Kino: Fufu. You care about her a lot. Well, I guess it’s better not to have any outsiders during a heart-to-heart between two men.

Yuma: I’m not gonna waste my time with useless chatter. So ya better start talkin’. 

Tell me why you’re tryin’ to take Karlheinz-sama’s powers from Shuu.

Kino: I figured that’d be what you’d ask. I thought I told you I don’t want to deal with bothersome questions right now?

Yuma: Don’t beat ‘round the damn bush. Answer me!

Kino: Yeah, yeah, I will. But let me ask you this first. 

Say you had been the one to inherit those powers, what would you do with them?

Yuma: Aah? What do ya mean?

Kino: Oh come on, just tell me as inspiration. You could achieve anything with those powers, you know? I’m sure there’s something you’d want to do with them, right?

ー Yuma goes back to the living room

*Thud*

Yuma: Che...He kept talkin’ random bullshit. I really can’t stand that guy.

Lucks: Yuma. You’re done talking?

Yuma: Yeah. In the end, I couldn’t figure anythin’ out tho. Where’s Yui?

Lucks: She’s outside. She said she wanted to see more of Rotigenberg.

Yuma: Haah!? By herself!? That idiot...!

Lucks: Don’t worry. This area is under Kino’s direct influence. She won’t put herself in danger.

Yuma: But Kino is hella dangerous himself!

Lucks: Don’t say that. I owe my life to him, you know?

Yuma: ...The fuck did that guy do to ya?

Lucks: I met Kino right after I had become a Ghoul and was still unsure of what exactly I had become.

As you know as well, I was always surrounded by my comrades back when I lived in that city. I was able to survive thanks to them. 

But when I awoke as a Ghoul, I was all by myself. ...That was a first for me.

Yuma: ...

Lucks: There was someone who guided me while I was wandering around aimlessly after having lost all of my friends. And that person, was Kino. 

And it was also Kino...who reminded me of my past dream.

Kino is trying to change the injustice in this world. Just like how we would in the past. 

Yuma: ...He’s...?

Lucks: That’s what our organisation is for. Which is why all of its members are Ghouls who have experienced discrimination first-hand.

I’m sure that Kino will be able to achieve what I failed to in the past. I have faith in him.

Yuma: ...Boss.

Lucks: I’m begging you, Bear. Help Kino...help us out!

With both you and Kino at our side, we can achieve anything! I am sure that us Ghouls will be able to attain freedom!

We just want to be free, that’s all. ...Please.

ー He steps outside as the scene shifts to the open fields at Rotigenberg

Yui: ( ...There really are only Ghouls living around these parts. )

( I can’t believe they’re being confined to one living area when the Demon World is so vast... )

Ghoul Woman D: Right...

Male Ghoul D: If only we could look for him ourselves. However, we cannot leave this area...
