So Lexa had a whole mythos and a profecy around her - one she does not know about. She is destined to meet and fall in love with a mortal. However the King of the Gods, her father, fears humans will use this profecy to use her godly powers and take advantage of it so he takes the human form of Titus, her priest, and makes sure Lexa does not appear to any human nor speaks to any of them in fear she will find the one she is destined for and that they'll cause her pain or fall in love with the wrong one that will break her heart. Therefore, Lexa has been taught love is for humans and not for gods.

In time, mortals have given her the name of the loneliest of gods as she is the only god who does not appear to mortals and is still without her destined love.

That is until a young love healer comes storming into Lexa's temple angrily demanding of her goddess to fall in love as so many around her have, given she has dedicated her entire existence to serving Lexa and healing broken hearts, the only one unable to be fixed being her own.

Titus really dislikes to see Clarke coming around. As much as he dislikes seeing the goddess of love blooming an entire field for one mortal girl.
