THIS VIDEO INTERVIEW IS BEYOND PRECIOUS. Lew got some incredible shots, I'll tell you. I've seen his pictures before (I often face them actually, as famous as they are it isn't difficult to see them again and again - which is always a pleasure), but I've never watched any interview with or about Mr. Lew Allen. It was about time. ♥

The "behind the photo" info coming from all the great professionals who snapped Elvis at some point of his life hold incredible stories enough by themselves to tell who Elvis was as a person if you put them all together. I mean... Lew's picture with Elvis on the phone!! I've seen this picture before but the story coming with it now just makes that one of my new favorite Elvis photographs. Such an attentive, caring man. 🥹

And the google-eyed picture is so famous! In my head, this was a fan photograph... I still I had no idea the name of the photographer behind it and the context of the moment itself when it was taken. Elvis being silly as can be, just gave Lew this face when the man called out his name. Our cute, funny little boy.
