♡ ・ LETTERS TO THOSE WE MOTHER ━━━ an introspective, drabble series dedicated to zephia & eremiya

. a few days after apping zephia, i reread the script of NMotE and fell in love with eremiya's character. the potential, the archetype, and most of all, the backstory she was given. though i disliked how it was thrown messily into the script, i had no doubt that she could be a character i'd enjoy writing. which, then, led me to wonder how similar and different she and zephia were. and i must admit that i grew obsessed with the idea of them interacting with one another ( though, at first, the thought definitely stemmed from a flickering, romantic piece i wrote for them. pardon my insanity it was a voice test for eremiya,, ).

thus, i created this! letters to those we mother, is a drabble series where i hope to do an in-depth exploration of their characters, both in who they are, what they are, and the potential was created for them. though this is self-indulgent, i hope to entertain whoever reads along, whether in succession or standalone.

thank you, TOA, for letting me have the opportunity to explore writing styles within this setting, as these two would never tolerate one another otherwise.

. SYNOPSIS. what happens when fodlan shatters the mirror separating an archetype? what should unfold when these two sides, cut from the same lengths of glass, find their hands touching, skin-upon-skin, without the safety of a reflection?

zephia dahut kurosawa, a mage dragon faithful at the feet of her lord, and eremiya n. ahava, a bishop condemned to obey the voice of her lord, have crossed into each other's territory and, thus, will embark on the reluctant path that mothers must retrace once their children have grown into young adults. a lifestyle they would have walked, separately, lest their corruptions never been birthed.

neither of these beasts have savored the taste of motherhood the way fate planned them to. so, what now? will their faith create permanent cracks in the mirror? will a dragon's realism and a bishop's pessimism meld together into the flawed glimpse of another; optimism?

this, only time would reveal.

DISCLAIMERS. neither zephia or eremiya are characters that will be redeemed in this series. instead, i hope to explain their conditions and explore the consequences to which they must be condemned. with this in mind, understand that these two muses are bad people and will not change automatically in the first drabble. the journey of self-introspection is a long one.

. SCHEDULE. estimated to be 6:00 pm on the 23rd day of every two months. ( ex. if the first drabble is posted on february 23rd, at 6:00 pm, then the next drabble would be posted on april 23rd, at 6:00 pm, and so on ) a brief prologue that contains a recap, teaser, and important information such as content warnings and writer notes will be posted at 9:00 pm on the 18th day of every two months.

Character in general: OMG time for me to gush about Ichigo again ! we both know i love this boy. i loved him ever since reading the manga, i loved him even more after watching him come to life with the anime (i did love the live action too so oops), & i love him even more now that i get to watch you bring him to life. seriously, you capture his essence then you take it & go above & beyond ! it is so amazing to see & i am so blessed to be a part of it. PLUS YOU GOT ME SHIPPING MULAN & ICHIGO & giving me feelings i didn't expect to be having !! || The mun is back!! Yes, I designed and wrote headcanons for an entire boy group in my absence, so hopefully that makes up for it. I've been, as previously stated, immensely busy with traveling and university preparation. Tack on my tackling this much bigger prompt and switching to CSP and you've got a recipe for a mini unannounced hiatus! I missed you all ♡ I still can't believe we hit 100 followers while I was away, so thank you again! || Once again, none of these are canon takes seeing as NO-SPIN hasn't been elaborated on beyond there being five members. I took full artistic liberty with these designs and the lore. That being said, other ask blogs/artists are free to reference/use/draw/write about my interpretation of NO-SPIN with CREDIT! ★ real name = Seung-hyun | The first member of NO SPIN and the leader, the group was built around the dynamic between him and Yi-eun: his close trainee relation ★ His stage name is based on the first character of his given name: Seung. ‘Sea’ sounds like the letter ‘C’, taken from the ‘Se’ in Seung. Furthermore, 㴍 (one of the characters that can be used to indicate ‘Seung’, though not that used in his name) is used in the name of a body of water. As a bonus, he grew up on the Busan seaside. ★ Has a degree in theater: an excellent actor who guest-starred in a fairly popular K-Drama prior to Ji-woon joining NO SPIN in an attempt to help gain face for the group ★ Stood at 5’7” prior to his death ★ The so-dubbed smart/sensible member of the group. ☆ Did not trustJi-woon. Didn’t trust him as far as he could throw him; his otherwise very positive, respectful relationship with Yun-jin was jeopardized by her adamant defense of the new member. However, he was also good at turning on the charm for the cameras and acting just as positive towards Hak as he did the others. Them having a subtle 'rivalry' became a point of endearment to the fans because "it wasn't serious". ☆ Known for his "sexy" aloofness by fans, a pretty smirk, and his ‘princely’ laugh. In actuality, he was very protective and caring towards the younger members ☆ Tallest member! Stood 5’11.5” at his prime ☆ Second member to join the group; NO SPIN was built around his relationship with the leader as the two of them were trainees together ☆ University-educated with a masters in Political Science at the time of his death ☆ Ambassador/model for multiple luxury brands ☆ His representative emoji/animal was 🐆

MOON-SOO — Maknae Line [ Second Youngest ] | Sub Rapper, Lead Dancer, Lead Vocalist | 22 upon death

☆ Perhaps the most popular member of the group before Ji-woon’s arrival, Soo was doted on often by the fans who regarded him with deep endearment. He reciprocated their sweetness and made frequent livestream appearances to appease them ☆ Well-known for his constantly unnaturally colored hair (admittedly was a bit jealous that Yun-jin matched with Ji-woon when she had rarely if ever done so with him). Once Ji-woon joined, he elected to stick to pastel and soft colors to maintain his aesthetic but not step on Hak’s toes ☆ On the topic of Ji-woon, he warmed up immediately to the newcomer and tried his absolute hardest to connect with him genuinely (fans were simply obsessed with their juxtaposing energies). He was extremely genuine with and even tailed the new inductee at appearances, seemingly attached to Hak with little reason for it. Moon-soo wanted him to feel welcome. The older members often put aside arguing with Ji-woon to satiate Moon-soo. ☆ stood at 5’9” prior to his death ☆ exceptionally talented in sports! A very proficient tennis and baseball player as well as a trained ballet and hip-hop dancer. Incredible gymnastics skill; would have been an international competitor if not for idolhood. ☆ A good person. Resting smile and desperate to keep everyone sensible and together. ☆ Also a frequent brand ambassador/model! ☆ His representative emoji/animal was 🐶

U-EON — Producer, Lead Rapper | 25 upon death

★ real name = Min-ho; his stage name is a mostly phonetic spelling of 우연 (‘uyeon’), meaning ‘chance’ or, less positively, ‘accident’. It is a reference to his sense of good fortune for being where he is after his past. It is also a reference to his love for his fans— ‘U’ refers to the audience and ‘Eon’ (a time period of a billion years) to the amount of time he said he would love them for ★ Widely perceived as ‘shy’ (which he very much is; Yun-jin had her doubts when she assumed NO SPIN), he has a powerful, shocking, and alluring stage presence. It’s like two very different people are performing or anywhere else ★ He was originally a producer for Mightee One, which is how he met Sea and Yi-eun; he was creating pre-debut tracks for them and was ultimately assimilated into the group they were building around them when they just clicked as a trio! ★ crafted an independent mixtape released by Mightee One. While fairly commercially successful, it was decided that his energy should be diverted to the group ★ a notably talented songwriter, he worked on a lot of tracks released both before and after Ji-woon’s arrival. The jokes about him being Yun-jin’s ‘co-producer’ died pretty quickly (she didn’t like them), but she will acknowledge his consistent contributions. It was difficult for him to adjust to the new sound Ji-woon brought to the group as U-EON’s best genre was ballads (second best was rap) ★ His representative animal/emoji was 🐹 

And, as a bonus, I headcanon that JI-WOON was a main dancer and lead vocalist upon joining the group. People began to debate as to whether or not he was the group's new visual member despite a formal change never being made; Hak was extremely appealing to thousands of new fans. He was immediately made NO-SPIN's center and appeared front and, well, center in the new wave of promotional material and at performances. NO SPIN was seriously lacking a main dancer (while Moon-Soo and Yi-eun were talented, they weren’t as good as other groups’ mains. All members can dance as expected by the industry, but the leads were not to par with other boy groups’ mains), so Ji-woon was also cleverly hired by Lee to compensate that. The group's color was neon pink (the hue the hangul characters in the DLC trailer/logo are written in, specifically). Thank you kindly for reading if you did this far! ✰

———  THREE  FACTS! ♡ • My pen name derives from my real name. It’s just the three first letters. • I buy too much Star Wars stuff with my adult money .-. •My favorite animal is cats. I have two, and I dare say one of them is my platonic soulmate.

———  EXPERIENCE! ♡ I’m old. I’ve roleplayed for way too many years and I can’t seem to let it go. I don’t remember which year I started roleplaying, but I remember it being on a norwegian website for Harry Potter roleplay. That is where my oc Lucifer was made, and I played him for many years on there before I eventually decided to quit due to too much bullying. (When I first started rp I had no sense of what was right or wrong regarding choice of character so I played someone people on there didn’t agree with, which had them bully me pretty heavily. The character wasn’t Lucifer, it was someone else, but ugghh. Never understood people’s need to bully and harass people for stuff like that. Anyway, rant over). I’ve also rp’d on MSN, Skype and Discord as well as a few games such as Rust, World of Warcraft, Valheim etc. Oh, and LARPing, I’ve done that too. I started on Tumblr in 2016 (I think?) roleplaying as Widowmaker from Overwatch for a couple years, before I switched between a few other muses. Then I had the bright idea of wanting to roleplay as Obi-Wan since I’ve always liked him quite a lot, and then I ended up here. That’s just my roleplay experience though, not my writing experience which is more vast tbh. I started writing when I was seven, wrote my first finished book at twelve, sent it to a publishing company at sixteen (didn’t get accepted, but got a lot of advice and encouragment), and finally got my first book published in 2017. Now I’m working on three separate projects, two in english and one in norwegian. Gonna stop myself here, cause otherwise this post will be wayyyy too long, haha. Feel free to ask should you be curious about anything though. I’m more than happy to chat about this or anything else!

———  MUSE  PREFERENCE! I tend to write more male muses than female ones, simply because it comes easier to me. Always have for some reason. Don’t know why. Guess I just feel I’m not able to communicate a realistic female muse so I rarely tend to have them. It’s probably all just in my mind, though. I also always use a bit of time to get to know the muse when I start rping as them, but as soon as that’s done, they’re stuck with me forever!

———  FLUFF / ANGST / SMUT! ♡     FLUFF  :   Also a huge yes please. I mostly end up writing fluff I feel with romantic ships, since I love letting my characters be content and happy as much as I love letting them suffer. ANGST  :  Yes please. I love angst very much even if it makes me cry. I am often so connected to my characters that I can feel their pain, whether that be physical or mental pain, which again have had me crying as I write at some points. Still love angst though - maybe there’s something wrong with me xD SMUT  :  I don’t mind smut at all, as I find it a vital part of a romantic ship, though that does not mean that you have to rp smut with me. Not at all! I love romance without smut too. Sometimes when writing smut my brain just stops - probably due to my own trauma - so when or if you write smut with me I may reply slowly cause I need to restart the brain from time to time. Other than that I don’t mind it, though I do not rp smut with everyone nor do I write smut for the sake of smutting - it has to have some plot to it.

PLOT / MEMES  :  I encourage plotting, and I love memes so either is fine by me. However, more often than not I tend to go with the flow, letting Obi-Wan do the work while I just write down what he believes is right.

𝟎𝟏.  something i’ve discovered about rioh the longer i’ve written him is that he seems dead-set on trying to find his other half. he’s a hopeless romantic who, given the circumstances of being an idol and the fact that he spent pretty much all of his youth in the entertainment industry, has not ever really had a chance to explore what it’s like to have a boyfriend. this, of course, is only made more complicated with south korea’s views on homosexuality and how it’s still considered fairly “taboo” there. either way, i don’t want to say that he’s desperate for a relationship, but he thinks about them a lot and can’t help but wonder what it’s like to have someone in his corner, especially in such an intimate fashion. however, the road to finding mr. right isn’t always easy, and i feel like he’s at the point where he wants to put himself out there more, and ask guys out on dates; to put more energy into dating, in general, no matter how hard it seems. all that said, if you want to write a thread of rioh asking your muse on a date, your muse actually going on a date with rioh, your muse rejecting his advances, your muse being flirty with him, etc., that’d be great ! i’m up for literally anything and everything, so if you have ideas you’d like to add, do let me know !   (  romantic-leaning, masc locked, any age, chemistry dependent  )  ♡

𝟎𝟐.  another idea that i’ve had in mind for awhile that isn’t exactly romantic, but has some tiny elements of that, is one where rioh felt brave when he was mad young and still a trainee, and like, wrote your muse ( presumably a débuted idol ) a love letter confessing his feelings after they helped him work on dancing, or singing, or literally whatever else, and your muse had to turn him down for very obvious reasons, but maybe thought it was sweet that he even went out of his way to do that at his age. nowadays, the muse in question sort of tucked him under his wing and he’s rioh’s biggest confidante. someone who never judges him, who helps him, and sort of fills the role of a “big brother” away from home. sure, rioh has a lot of older brothers, but they’re nowhere near as patient or as nice with him as this muse is, so he’s likely the first person he goes to when he’s confused, or lost, or upset !   (  platonic, masc locked, 89-99 liner, bonus points if from bce / the muse is queer, as well  )  ♡

𝟎𝟑.  a girl near his age who, back in his trainee days / early idol days, he tried to date after his brother made it a point to confuse him with one single question: how do you know you’re gay if you’ve never even dated a girl before? completely ignorant of him, but thankfully, his siblings understand him more now. back then though, he decided to explore his sexuality more, and in doing so he pursued your muse because he found her to be really pretty, and very talented, and they got along well, but maybe after roughly one year of dating, he confirmed with himself that it wasn’t as fulfilling to him as it would’ve been had she been a guy, so he broke up with her. now, they remain on good terms because he loves her, and he loved her back then, but just couldn’t be the boyfriend that she deserved. she’s also someone that’s an important figure in his life and likely always will be.  (  platonic, femme locked, 99-02 liner  )  ♡

𝟎𝟒.  rioh has never been incredibly confident in himself as a singer, but it’s what he’s known for in his career. as a kid, he participated in “the voice kids” and lost, and that fact was used a lot whenever cloud 6 was airing on tv. after his debut, he was made a main vocalist, and even took part in “the king of masked singer,” but didn’t win that either, so he feels pretty inferior as a main vocalist and needs to work on his confidence. this is where your muse steps in. not only would they be an individual who assists him with his vocals, but also a collaborative partner who he’ll hopefully work with musically in the future. they’ll know a lot about his insecurities and he’ll find it easy to open up to them.  (  platonic / collaborative, any gender, any age  )  ♡

𝟎𝟓.  friends-with-benefits, anyone? this hasn’t ever happened for rioh, and this was something in the works awhile back, but it never fully blossomed into fruition. this muse doesn’t have to be in anyway serious about anything, but i can’t promise that rioh won’t catch feelings sometimes. he’s... pretty quick to fall, and so naïve, and he needs to sort of... get over that, in my opinion. we can discuss possibilities to see what works best for all.  (  nsfw, masc locked, any age, chemistry dependent  )  ♡

note, this section is a little more loose; smaller ideas that can grow into things, but they also don’t have to. i realize that some people ( myself included, at times ) like to dive right in and see how things go, so here are some starter ideas, plot points, etc. we can expand on either in the writing process, in plotting, etc. !

a dance partner ( any age, any gender ) ! rioh always finds himself restless in the middle of the night, and sometimes, he wishes he had someone who’d meet up with him on a couple sleepless nights to just come up with super cool choreo.

as plain and simple as it is, rioh’s always wanted to learn a second language. it could be literally any language your muse speaks. if they’re willing to help him out, he’ll return the favor somehow. maybe in free meals? he’s a good cook!

for some reason, i feel like rioh would be 1,000% down to coparent a pet with someone. this could be even more fun if the two of them are roommates, too!

maybe a scenario where rioh was trying to be smooth and pass his phone number along to a cute boy at a music show ( like at the end when they all shake hands ), but the paper with his number got into your hands by accident. 😬

the two of you somehow and someway end up stuck in an elevator together. maybe at a company? not sure if they have elevators, but one can assume... anyway, you talked for around an hour and a half, then decided to grab lunch.

i've come to recognize at this point in my life, i enjoy keeping track of things in my everyday life via writing- the thing is i hate journaling ( mostly bc i don't think i have much to write about everyday....also my emotions tend to actually get more intense rather than cool down when i write about feelings whoops ) so the closest i'm going to get there is a planner!! and a comprehensive list of all the books i've read ( it's also research for job hunting!! )

i used to have a pen pal back in elementary school; we met at a summer camp and exchanged letters throughout the school year to keep in touch...i miss having one ( any volunteers here?? )

my parents live close to a beach so i've been going there and reading whenever it's warm enough outside- unfortunately every time i do, i'm exhausted when i get back and end up clonking out right after dinner ( if you're ever wondering why i haven't been writing as regularly lately hahahaha there's ur reason sjkdlfjsl )

i sleep with four blankets on my bed. three of them are throw blankets- i got two as presents from my friends and i got the last one ( a pokemon themed one!! ) for myself as a graduation present

i just finished reading marlon james' red leopard black wolf so now i'm reading kyle lucia wu's debut novel, win me something- the writing's gorgeous!!

for my birthday, a dear friend of mine got me a plushie of tohru honda as a rice ball. it's the cutest thing ever and i had to get an orange cat to complete the set :D

i'm the first person in my family ( both immediate and extended ) to go to therapy. it's yielded interesting observations from my side.... :/

call me an oldie, but my favorite video game series will always be professor layton ( although the ace attorney series comes in close second! ) - nothing will ever beat the third game for me, ever!!
