Making this its own post, because I want to make the #watcher tag clear:

I don't think they're greedy. They have never seem greedy, even with this decision. You could say the same thing about Dropout, which is dumb cause their production value is pretty insane.

They have talked many times before how this isn't profitable, what they're doing. I believe that, cause i actually know a thing or two about film productions and how fucking expensive they are.

This seems to me as desperation, which led to a poorly thought-out decision

At the end of the day, they aren't a megacorporation. They're a small company that's never done this before and did a stupid decision, and are trying to save their reputation

I'm still watching Watcher BTW. I was always a casual fan for the ghoul boys, I'll just continue watching their stuff on youtube

But this is your reminder to go watch Markiplier, the numero uno YouTuber with "controversies" counted on one hand, who posts literal movie-length projects on youtube for free that are incredibly diverse and beautiful and are filled with so much storytelling and hilarity and passion and love

After careful consideration, I have decided I don't care about the watcher drama anymore. I am the only normal person to react to the entire situation and I will carry on my life watching whatever comes to my youtube hands because it's just Some Thing
