when I was in high school we used to have a lot of events at the end of the school year but the one everyone most looked forward to without fail was the massive dodgeball tournament between grade levels. freshmen played sophomores, juniors played seniors, the winners played each other, and then the reigning champions did battle with the teachers. anyway I think this event would be both incredibly dangerous and universally beloved at UA

One of the fun experiences I’ve had with the dragon age fan base here on tumblr.com in the last 10+ years is that folks put their vent/hate posts in that character’s main tags. It’s only after I reblog it and I get the vague post/rb about how something I was excited about and thought was being celebrated was actually getting shitted on by someone who spends their day being angry about a fictional man 🫳🌱

while austin loved christmas, his work schedule left him shopping for gifts later than he'd like. lucky for him, his neighborhood was home to one of many pop up holiday markets in the borough, so after practice one day, he found himself weaving through the booths, nursing a cup of hot cocoa, a knit beanie pulled over his head as he paused to look at a collection of homemade jewelry. his gloved hand reached for the same piece as someone else, and he turned to peer at the other person with a playful smirk partially hidden behind his to-go cup. "i'll fight ya for it," he said, letting go of the bracelet and putting his his hand in a fist. the twitch of his mouth and arch of his eyebrows gave away that he was joking, even if he thought his mom would love the piece the other was currently holding. "did you wait 'til the last minute to shop, too?"

ok my more in depth thoughts of the Sam=Firefly theory

So we know Sam is a mech suit from the planet Glamoth, with someone piloting it. Assumed to be a man based off the general build of the suit. Sam was built to fight against the Swarm to save his planet but ultimately the planet died to the swarm. We get all this info from Welt and the description of the Glamoth planar ornament set.

Firefly comes from a planet that was destroyed by either the swarm or antimatter legion from what she told us, she also stated shes on Penacony for the watchmakers legacy and cant tell us who she actually is. Another thing that interests me is she said in the real world shes stuck in what she calls a medical cabin and unable to move and experience things with her own body due to her terminal illness. It's said in a way that makes me think she can do all those things in a body that's not her own though. Sam is the 'medical cabin' shes stuck in, it would explain why the other Stellaron Hunters seemingly don't know who's actually piloting Sam, she can't live normally outside of it.

Sam only appears after her 'death' and Black Swan states the burnt enemies were very recent and they didn't exist in those places before we find Firefly, he wasn't there before she left. I think people are misinterpreting the memories of her we see as Sam being the one to lure her in and get her killed, but I think the line where she says 'Mecha, why?' is supposed to be something along the lines of 'Why do you know about that' not about why hes betraying her and the person she was with was someone unknown right now.

Theres just so many little things like their whole colour schemes matching, the firefly shaped wings in the 2.0 music video the same green colour as her, both of them very specifically mentioning the phrase 'scorched earth'. I do wholly think the theory has a good chance of being true.

you know what guys. after this whole thing goes down, i hope we get the ACTUAL kamiyama school festival and it is a very good comparison to the first one. where we can see clearly how much mizuki has grown since that first event in january 2021, since that first school festival in middle school.

and i hope mizuki gets to have fun with her friends and can hang out with ena. and i hope ena has fun too. i hope she gets to tease akito, forge bonds with her classmates at the fried squid stall, and hopefully get roped into a dumb show with the oddballs 1 2. i hope this is ena’s pandemonium. i hope we all can have a little bit of joy and whimsy while getting to see how much the gang’s lives have changed at this point.

and i hope rui is a little worried for mizuki — i sincerely hope he is somewhere in mizu5, quietly waiting by the rooftop like he always has for her. but by the end of the schoolfes event he can look at mizuki, her whole face bright as all eight students in our little kamikou main cast gang come down from the rooftop (for one last time maybe, but we don’t talk about graduation in front of rui… unless ofc we bring it up this event) and he can say “you’ve come such a long way, haven’t you, mizuki? i’m happy for you.”
