so the silent hill 2 discourse is a little infuriating to me as someone who has seen the long term affects of taking care of someone with a terminal illness. It isn’t always pretty. I’ll be honest I had no sympathy for James when I played the original game at 14 years old. Hell, I was initially befuddled they made James good looking. Cut to now, after having seen the slow, painful effects of a shitty disease first hand, I see James in a whole new light. Doesn’t mean I condone him, but some people really think understand = condone, and I find that god awfully frustrating.
#I saw someone claim moral superiority for taking care of their family member who was terminal and never getting frustrated#and I got annoyed#personal#i really hate the clock app for fandom#let me be a mostly faceless fangirl#😭#sh2#this is why experiencing the story has been so healing in a way#I got to revisit it at the best time#anyway I think leave ending is James admitting he didn’t want Mary to suffer anymore but also he wasn’t completely altruistic#both things are the#*true#it’s the best because he accepts the good and the bad#about himself and his relationship

morangos com açúcar (chapter three)
Title: morangos com açúcar
Pairing: Dream x OC (fem!streamer!reader) x Quackity
Warnings: Mostly fluff. Mentions of anxiety, depression and ADD.
Note: This may be a Dream x OC story but feel free to insert yourself into the main girls role. If Dream ever announces that he doesn’t like fanfics about him, I’ll delete this.
Olivia + Friends — Dream + Friends —Prologue — Chapter 1 — Chapter 2 — Chapter 3 — Chapter 4 — Chapter 5
Olivia chuckled. She looked at Esperanza, staring at her phone as if it would explode in the next thirty seconds. "Anza, I don't think he's going to text you this fast" Olivia said. "Who know when Alex will share your number with Sapnap." Esperanza looked over to Olivia. "This is all thanks to you, my gorgeous faceless best friend!" Esperanza cheered and threw herself in Olivia's arms.
"Nah, I simply just tweeted Sapnap's name under your tweet. I didn't told anyone to actually engage with your tweet." - "A few of my mutuals congratulated me for getting noticed by Sapnap" Esperanza laughed. "They say I'm a good fangirl and I deserve all the attention from my comfort streamer." Esperanza looked at Olivia, who was simply smiling at her.
Olivia loved seeing her friends happy and content like this. Even if Olivia probably would get a backlash from Sapnap's fans and other Dream SMP stans, she wouldn't change anything. It was probably a stupid and reckless decision, but seeing Esperanzas smile made it all worthwhile.
"So what are you planning to do, if he actually texts you?" Olivia asked. She had zero to non-existing experience on this topic and didn't know what was going to happen next. A boy, a very handsome boy, Esperanza felt drawn to had her phone number. What happens next?
"I'll probably try and get to know him in a non-creepy way? If he wants me to stop fangirling about him, because it makes him uncomfortable I'll obviously stop." A wicked grin plastered itself on Esperanzas face. "And maybe I'll flirt a little bit? I mean, he did like my tweet and the main focus of that picture was my ass." Esperanza wanted to continue, when the bell of Olivias house rang.
"It's probably just one of my brothers, gimme a sec."
Olivia walked over to the door and opened it, imagining Tomás or Diogo standing in front of it, but once her door was opened and none other than her best friend Alex stomped into the open living room, she knew something was up.
Esperanza waved him from the couch she was sitting on, "Hi Alex!". Alex waved back and looked at Olivia. "You two are so... so..." - "So what?" asked Olivia, kinda confused about how upset Alex seemed.
"What was your plan with those pictures?" the boy let out and sat down on the couch. "Our main point was taking pictures with those cars, Alex" Olivia said. "We immediately fell in love when our professor handed us the keys and made us search for our cars in the car park." The Gemini continued.
"YOU'RE TRENDING ESPERANZA!" Alex yelled. Olivia widened her eyes and looked over to Esperanza, who was sitting cross legged on the couch, her phone clutched in her hands and her black hair in a messy bun on top of her head.
"How?" Olivia asked. She never managed to get viral. Even though she was a Streamer herself. But her best friend who was a full-time fangirl managed to trend? Alex sighed. "Your car girl aesthetics got retweeted and reposted millions of time. Especially Esperanza's!" Alex yelled and turned his phone.
He was on the Twitter search site and one of the trending topics was #SapnapsIdealTypeCarGirl. "I don't even want to know how many perverts downloaded your pic" Alex screamed, when Olivias phone pinged. "Sorry" she excused herself—leaving Alex and Esperanza behind.
Once in the kitchen she saw that an unknown number had sent her a message. She quickly opened the message and chuckled. It was Dream. The super famous Minecrafter whom she played Jackbox with the other day. The streamer that laughed hysterically because of Paddington Bears crippling addiction to sucking whale cocks.
Olivia grinned at the message and quickly saved Dream's number before walking back into the living room. Alex was still screaming and Esperanza looked like she wasn't even listening to him. "Olivia, talk some sense into her!" he begged and Olivia cocked her eyebrow.
It had been a few days since the Car Girl pictures got posted and Esperanza did gain a lot more new followers from that one tweet. Probably because George and Sapnap interacted with it. Esperanza was doing fine though. Olivia didn't see the problem.
"Alex, may I talk to you?" she asked and he lifted his arms. "In private" Olivia added and Alex dropped his arms looking at Esperanza one more time. The Aries was way too busy checking her social medias.
Once back in the kitchen, Olivia leaned onto the kitchen counter and grabbed onto Alex's hands. "You're usually not this worked up mine and Anza's antics... why are you so mad?"
It would be a lie, if Olivia holding onto his hands like this, didn't do anything to the still twenty-year old Capricorn. But he quickly shook his head. "It's just... both of you barging into my friend group is a little" he rubbed his temples and Olivia gave him a soft smile.
"You don't want me and Esperanza in your friend group right? Those streamer boys and girls are your friends... you don't want us to engage with them... am I right?" Olivia asked and Alex's head shot up. "What?" he asked. "You don't want Anza and me to be part of your Streamer friend group" Olivia repeated, cocking an eyebrow and looking at the 5'8'' tall boy—who was still smaller than her.
"What? No! I don't care if Esperanza and Sapnap become friends or whatever." Alex gently ripped his hands out of Olivia's embrace. "It's Anza's and his life. If they wanna become friends or whatever... I don't care." Alex turned his back to Olivia and leaned against the counter. Olivia looked at him.
"What's your problem then?" The woman asked and Alex looked over to her. "I-I don't actually know—" he started when Esperanza started screaming in the living room. Alex and Olivia both looked at each other before dashing into the living room, seeing the young Latina standing on the couch, holding onto the fabric of her skirt, since her crop-top was tightly on her body.
"You okay, weirdo?" Alex asked, when Esperanza grinned towards them. "Sapnap just texted me! And he sent me a selfie!", she fawned, pressing the phone onto her chest. "Olivia, Alex both of you are so pog! I'm leaving now, I gotta text this hunk of a man!"
And with these words Esperanza ran out of Olivia's house leaving the two Twitch streamers alone. Olivia looked at her friend. "So, Alex? What did you want to say before Esperanza started creaming?"
"EXCUSE ME?!" Alex yelled and Olivia started laughing. The Mexican boy looked at his best friend and gently smacked the back of her head. "You're unbelievable."
A few days later Olivia was streaming. She was continuing to play Kingdom Hearts II and continuing where she last stopped. The 8K viewers she currently had were commenting nice things about her gameplay and while playing Olivia even engaged in small talk with her fans.
I'm still not over the picture of you on that blue car! What was that all about?
A text-to-speech donation cheered and Olivia grinned, pressing her PS4 controller tighter in her hands. "Some of y'all have been following me for quite some time and know that I'm an engineering major with my main focus being on automotive engineering" the girl started, "so the blue car you saw on that picture is my midterm exam. Simply said, I need to take it apart and re-build it." Olivia grinned, while she continued playing the game.
Her eyes sometimes wandered to her chat, that was currently just spamming her with cute emojis.
user2323: vroom vroom🏎💨
user9887: that sound's so cool! the fact that you can take apart and re build cars is so cool!
user4636: ngl girls who know their cars are hot
"Feel free to leave some messages in the chat! I try to read and answer as many as possible. You don't need to send donations for me to answer your questions!" Olivia grinned, continuing to smash her fingers on the controller.
"What's your favorite game?" Olivia read and tilted her head, even though her viewers couldn't see her—she was faceless after all. "Definitely Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory!" she answered. "Everything about this game is so gorgeous!" A chuckle left Olivia's lips, when another text-to-speech donation popped up.
"I told you, you don't need to—" Olivia stopped speaking as soon as the computer generated voice spoke.
Hi Olivia! Nice stream so far! I'm not that knowledgable in Kingdom Hearts but the game looks fun! Dream.
Olivia blinked and re-read the message. Dream had donated $50 and Olivia sighed. "Thanks for joining the stream, Dream!" She smiled. "I hope you can enjoy the magic that is Kingdom Hearts!"
Olivia continued playing when another $50 donation came in. She rolled her eyes, thankfully no one could see her.
You have to teach me, next time we talk to each other! Maybe I'll can join the game. Dream
"Dream, this is literally a single-player game." Olivia said and rolled her eyes. "And please keep your money." The Gemini added and continued playing. For a while the donations from the green man stopped, until he started spamming her chat.
dreamwastaken: don't ignore me olivia
dreamwastaken: I'll stop sending money I swear
dreamwastaken: add me on discord
dreamwastaken: i wanna be ur friend :((
Olivia sighed. "Dang he's persistent. What are you thinking Chat? Should we add the Dream to VC? He doesn't know anything about us as a community or Kingdom Hearts. What should we do?"
user6652: add him!
user912: omg THE Minecraft dream?
user657: I don't want to share our lovely Olivia though?
Olivia read a few texts from her fans before adding Dream onto a Voice Call on Discord. She had recently befriended him on Discord, after he asked her about her own Discord ID.
The familiar ping appeared and Olivia saw the bubble with Dream's icon on the left side of her desktop. "Hello Dream and welcome to OH_livia!" the girl greeted and waited for the popular streamer to answer.

Your parents knew you were coming to town, well your mother did anyways. You had planned on telling the father figure that you sometimes called dad that you were planning on spending an unknown amount of time at home, but you just could not find the right words. He had told you that he had better not get a call to bail you out of anything, so you just assumed that included your mental health.
Therefore, you didn’t call him; you called your mom.
You weren’t expecting her to be waiting for you at the bus station, but there she was, an extra coffee in hand. She knew that you needed it. You instantly went to her, wrapped your arms around her waist in a tight embrace.
Around you, there were couples kissing, people simply tripping over their own luggage, and children laughing. Although this atmosphere seemed promising, you were not excited for seeing your dad’s disappointed face once again. No matter what you seemed to do, it wasn’t enough for him. There was always something about you that he wished he could have changed. You dreaded the moment that you were going to tell him all about your job and Yoongi in detail.
“Are you sure you’re okay, Bub?” Your mom asked, pulling back from the hug and placing the coffee in your hand.
Nodding your head once, you were sure that you both knew that it wasn’t true. You had to deal with the criticism your whole life, but getting it from people who didn’t even know who you were took a toll on you.
“And you’re still taking your meds?”
“Yes, Mom, I’m still taking my meds…” You groaned because you wished you didn’t have to. You went on a little stint where you refused to take them but that was a disaster, so it was a collective decision to get back on them. You visited your therapist weekly, even to this day, and it helped. But there were just some things that he did not understand. He was the one, however, that suggested that you tried to fix the root of your problems —your relationship with your family and more specifically your dad.
“Let’s go home, okay? He might not show it, but your dad is happy that you’re coming home. The neighbours have also been suspicious about our situation, and you know your father, he can’t lie. So naturally, the whole few miles around us know about our familial situation.”
“He basically told me that he didn’t want to see me until I changed my life. I haven’t exactly done that.” You sighed and looked at your scuffed shoes. You weren’t going to change yourself for anyone, but it definitely hurt to not have your dad as your biggest fan.
So basically when you walked into your house, you were not surprised that he did not talk to your nor make eye contact with you. He barely even acknowledged our existence. There was no reason for you to stick around him, so you simply made your way to your bedroom. It had already been a long day, and you wanted to sleep.
Your room was exactly as you had left it, so you simply dropped your suitcase at the door and flung yourself onto the bed. Grabbing out your phone, you saw the missed call from Yoongi and messages from all your friends, but the only person you responded to was Tae, telling him that you made it home fine.
Only a few seconds after you pressed send, Tae was calling you. The call lasted a long time, mostly you ranting to him about the fact that your dad didn’t even acknowledge your existence, but it was fine. You were fine.
Tae had to leave because Hana was over and they had paused the movie to talk to you, so you let them go.
Briefly, before you fell asleep, you wondered whether or not you should have called Yoongi.
***
The morning after your return, you awoke to the birds outside and your horse looking at you through your window. You had always been lucky enough to have a bedroom overlooking the stables. You hadn’t seen him in a while, and you were excited to get out there later and take care of him like you used to.
Quickly, you put on some clothes and raced outside. Who needed breakfast?
On your way out through the kitchen door, you ran into your mom and dad.
“What are you planning?” Your mom asked, giving you a cup of coffee. You looked over towards your dad, and all he did was read his newspaper, glasses on the end of his nose, sipping his orange juice.
“I’m gonna go riding,” you revealed, putting on your boots that you dragged down from your closet. They were dusty but oh well.
“Gimme a minute to get my boots, and I’ll come out with you,” she suggested, putting her mug in the sink and walking to the hallway closet to grab her boots. You loved riding by yourself, but you were here to make amends with your parents, so riding with your mom needed to happen. Riding was so cathartic. It was bound to be a great day.
Getting your horse ready was such a calming experience for you. On the back of your brain, you realized that you wanted Yoongi to see this part of yourself. It was a thought that quickly came and left, but it stuck with you for a bit.
Your mom must have noticed your expression because when she was brushing Tae’s horse, she asked, “What’s on your mind?”
You bit your lip when you looked into her eyes. “I was thinking about a boy.”
“Ooooo...the boy you told us about?” The horse was temporarily forgotten.
A small smile grew on your face as you thought of him. “Yoongi.”
“Well what about him?”
“He’s such a city boy, but I can’t help but want to show him this side of me. I’m not even sure he really knows about this part of me, and I just want him to come home and see this. I want him to know the person that I am when I’m not doing my job and in the spotlight,” you said, strapping the saddle down. Your horse was getting excited.
You mom answered after she mounted Tae’s horse. “He seems to make you happy.”
Leading the horses out, you couldn’t help but smile wider. “He makes me smile and makes me want to love.”
“You love him.” Not a truer statement had been spoken by your mom before.
“I think so,” you admitted, giving your horse a nice pat. He was doing so well even after not riding with you for so long. Deciding that you needed to up the pace, you brought him to a gallop and sailed forward, urging your mom to follow suit.
The land was beautiful and smelled like grass and flowers. The sun was starting to beat down, so you slowed your pace. Once you made it to a learning between trees, you shrugged off your sweater and tied it around your waist, so you wouldn’t lose it.
“Mom, can I ask you something?”
Your mom’s eyes were closed as she smelled the air and soaked up the sun, but she still hummed in response.
“How do you know when something is worth it?”
“Be more specific, baby,” she probed, opening her eyes to look at you. You saw so much of yourself in your mom. Honestly, you were glad that you weren’t too much like your dad.
“I’m worried that I’m making the wrong decisions. I’m not sure if Yoongi is the right fit or if my job is worth all that’s going on.”
“I think your heart has to tell you. I don’t want you living your life based on what your father wants, if that’s what you’re worried about…”
“But I just want to have a good relationship with him,” you admitted with a sigh.
“He’ll come around. And if you want my advice, I’ll tell you. Although your job probably won’t be forever, I think there are a lot of doors that it opens up for you, and if you love creating, don’t let the fear of failure or the fear of your father’s acceptance keep you from your happiness. As for the boy…I know I’ve never met Yoongi before, but he seems to make you happy, and I don’t believe you’d ever date someone that Tae didn’t approve of.”
“Actually, Tae encouraged us to date. Yoongi makes music online and produces, and honestly he’s amazing. He’s been Tae’s favourite artist for years; whereas, I only met him a few months ago.”
“He also has an online presence?”
“Yeah, but it’s more complicated. So Yoongi does music under his alias Agust D and covers his face so no one recognizes him. But the morning that I told you and Dad about him and my job, we had decided that we wanted to start dating. And now I’m getting a tonne of hate from people because they think I’m stringing along two people and sometimes more because of all the guy friends that I have, when in reality, it’s just Yoongi. I haven’t spoken to him in a couple weeks.”
“Oh, y/n, you can’t let what other people say about you affect your decisions. If you want to date the boy just date him.”
“But mom! I don’t want him to have to choose between his career as Agust D and me. He really likes his privacy and being alone, and I don’t want him to have to give that up for me. Especially because I’m not special enough for him to change his whole life.”
Your mom slapped your shoulder after your remark about yourself. “You are so special, and don’t let anyone ever tell you different.”
“And then there’s the fact that his ex-girlfriend still hangs out with him and is trying to be my friend. She’s actually very nice, and I think we’re going to be friends.”
“What do you mean that he still hangs it with her?” You knew that your mom was trying to pry some more, and you would indulge her. This was the time for that.
“I am under the impression that she still likes him but from what I’ve heard, he didn’t ever really like her too much. I don’t know, really, and I don’t really care to find out more. Everyone tells me that he likes me, but she’s just so pretty and perfect and nice and kind. Maybe she’ll rub off on me…”
“Well, she sounds like a lovely person, but the heart wants what the heart wants, kiddo. Now I need to head back because your dad needs my help today. I just wanted to talk to you some this morning.”
***
A week had gone by, and your dad was finally talking to you again. Gradually, he had been looking at you and acknowledging your existence, but this morning, he had actually wished you a good morning and asked how your sleep had been.
It really surprised you. It seemed like ages since you last heard his voice. Hell, the last time that you had properly spoken was a yelling match. Your conversation was strained, but your mom must have told him about your chats and what was really bugging you, so there was a silver lining.
Within that week, you’d also been getting a lot of reading and writing done. You hadn’t told anyone besides Jade that you’d been writing, and she was the most supportive person. She wanted to be a journalist, so it was basically fate that the two of you became friends. It was destined to happen. The book that you started was a story somewhat based on you and Yoongi —something you hadn’t realized until just that morning.
You weren’t talking to anyone else, because you didn’t want to be a bother, and you needed a break from your old life. Jade was still a relatively new addition, and a female, so you just knew that she was going to understand and be of help whenever you needed.
Your mom liked you join you outside whenever she found the chance, and today, she brought out some lemonade and sandwiches for you to have for lunch. “Mom,” you asked with half a sandwich still stuffed in your mouth. Chewing a little and swallowing some, you continued, “Do you think it’s unhealthy that I can’t stop thinking about the one person that I’m trying to avoid? Even with everything going on with dad and my job and school... I still can’t keep my mind off Yoongi and how he’s doing or what he wants.”
After taking a small sip from her glass, your mom sighed and closed her eyes. Her hand found yours when she replied, “I think what you’re experiencing is completely normal. I never told anyone this before, but my parents didn’t approve of your dad. They thought he could never love and they hated the fact that he was a farmer. I went through a similar thing that you are going through now…only we didn’t have the internet.”
Later on, you were sitting outside in the sun, reading, when Yoongi’s daily phone call should have came in. It had gotten harder and harder to decline the calls, and you were sure that you were going to give in, but it did not ring.
You waited for a few more minutes, distracted from your book, but your phone stayed silent. You briefly wondered if something had happened to him. Maybe you had jinxed it from the talk with your mom.
***
It’s now been a month away from social media and your normal life, and you were missing everyone. Yoongi hadn’t called you since that day. You just wanted to see Tae again. That morning, as you were brushing your horse, getting him ready for your daily ride, you spotted your father at the barn door.
He cocked his head, motioning for you to follow him, so that’s exactly what you did. The two of you walked around the yard together in silence for a while, until he finally spoke, “Are you doing this just to spite me?”
“Doing what?” You were watching the sun come over the hills in the distance, waiting for its warmth.
“Your job, school, and the boy…” He answered, taking his hat off and pushing his hair back before putting his hat back on.
“Oh, those things…I want you to know that I am not doing anything to make you purposefully mad. I just want to figure out my life without following anyone else’s orders.”
You were surprised that he was staying so calm. Heck, you were surprised that you were staying so calm. Neither of you were generally known for your calm demeanour, after all. “I just want what’s best for you, y/n. I want you to know that. I’ve been thinking for a long time, and your mother talked to me…we want to see the grandkids, and I do want you to be happy, so I am willing to let you figure it out. I will try to respect your decisions. As long as you talk to us more often and let us know what’s going on in your life, then I’m letting you go.”
“I’ll tell you things, I promise.” The sentence was loaded with worry, and it was awkward between the two of you. Neither of knew what to do about how well you were getting along.
“So tell me about this boy, then,” he probed. You wondered what exactly he was trying to get you to reveal, but you decided to tell hime everything.
You told him that you were sure that you were in love with him. You told him about his subtle, caring nature. You told him about his job. You told him about Tae’s liking him. You told him about Agust D.
When the conversation was over with, you felt a sort of weight lifted off your shoulder. There was no hug or affection shared between you and your dad, but there was a small smile. You would take what you could get.
In fact, you were feeling so much better, that you decided to go inside and film a video.
However, although you’d made peace with your dad, you still needed to figure out how to not let all the hate and negativity that comes from being present online affect your life.
You were going home, sooner rather than later.

Man Face Monday - Oliver is (Mostly) Troubled Edition
Hey kids! Hope you are well.
I am crazy busy with work, but didn’t want to leave you faceless today!
Since last time, I posted a little theory/speculation about Vigilante. If you missed my post, please take a look here.
But I digress. Here are some purty mugs for you. Oliver had kind of a tough week! My favorite is probably this Green Arrow image. I like how it turned out. Might try to do something more with it.
A rare smiley moment. FBI agents are hilarious.
A delicious profile.
Moody black and white. Because that nose.
He was very handsome this week.
A final painterly take because even looking at Anatoly like he wants to kill him, the man is a work of art.
Thanks so much for being a part of Man Face Monday. Looking forward to this week’s episode, though I will have to watch it late that night. A fun thing. I have been sharing some Lance fanart with Paul Blackthorne and he has been very kind in his response to me. You can see one of my pieces as the cover image on his Facebook page. Wishing you a great week ahead!!
Once again, tags seem to be a problem on my post, even though I retag everyone each time. I appreciate the reblogs very much to get things circulated.
If you would like to be removed or added to this list for Washboard Wednesday, Man Face Monday, and occasional other day posts of pretty, please let me know. I really hope the tags work this week. I know it’s spotty. Once again, please reblog if you think your followers will enjoy. Star Wars: The Last Jedi
I saw the new Star Wars movie, and I have a lot of Thoughts that it seems most people who have seen it haven’t had. So here there are in a VERY SPOILERY format under the cut. Please do not click if you haven’t seen the movie. Mostly I am just sad.
This is gonna be ramble. Just got back from the new Star Wars movie, and I'm still digesting it in my head, but I wanted to put my thoughts down because overall I think I came out of this movie really unhappy with it, and I want preserve my thoughts before I start reading other reviews or whatever. I didn't hate everything, but overall I left feeling unhappy. So, in no particular order:
Too many characters doing too many stupid/unimportant things. Lots of plots kind of everywhere, a lot of which just weren't interesting/felt tedious. Number 1 was the casino detour which was so stupid it hurts, and it amounted to nothing but a big waste of time. It gave Finn something to do, I guess, but it was really dumb. Maybe the betraying dude will come back at some point, but mostly that whole sequence left me twitching in my seat.
The whole movie felt like one of those movies where shit keeps happening just to fuck the situation up a little more so they have to keep running? It's a common theme in some movies and I absolutely hate it. The exit is clear and then suddenly EVENT happens and the exit is moved back five paces, then it happens again and again and again. It's a cheap and unrealistic way of building suspense, and gets absurd when you push it to the scale this movie did with people running from a planet to space ships, to smaller space ships, to another planet, to a door, to a tunnel, etc. It's just exhausting and tedious. It's not exciting, it's frustrating. And the longer everyone important to the plot lives through events like these, the less and less meaningful they are. Not that I want important people to die, but if they don't then there are literally no stakes. I don't care (much) about the secondary/background characters. Obviously I don't want the Rebels to all die, but when 20 ships are being picked off one-by-one and 19 of the ships have faceless background characters on them and one has all the main cast... there's just no fear. It's just tedium to get to the next sequence because I know everyone in the main cast is not about to be blown up.
Kylo Ren is such a fucking baby whiny manchild brat asshole dick. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS CHARACTER. I do not understand his motivations or why anyone likes him. His actor's choices for the role are also often mindboggling. There were a few moments where he had some personality and interesting traits, but overall I just don't understand him. I cannot comprehend what went so terribly bad in his pampered little baby boy life that he got so seduced to the dark side by Snoke that he's totally down with killing his family, and also all these millions of Rebels. I just don't get it. I don't get why he hates Luke with such a fiery passion, either. Hating Luke I get, but the whole scene where he says FIRE EVERYTHING ON THAT MAN.... why? Why do you hate Luke so much? There's one scene where Luke maybe tried to kill him, and I get that was traumatizing for him. But, where did the fiery rage come from? I can make excuses for it, like Snoke convinced him Luke was some crazy asshole, or whatever. But it just doesn't make sense. That's just me making excuses for the movie's bad writing. There's no good explanation for why Kylo was so seduced so thoroughly. When you compare his upbringing to Anakin's, it's like a joke. Anakin makes sense why he went to the Dark Side. We got a real understanding of his descent into the Dark Side and how he was seduced, and how he thought it was his only out/the only way he could protect people he loved/etc. There's none of that with Kylo. Basically the only explanation is that he's a psychopath, and like... that could be okay? Some people are psychopaths. Hux is probably one. But I don't think that's the interpretation we're meant to have for him. We're meant to think he's got light remaining and that he's redeemable, I just don't see how.
As he is he's just an utterly unlikable, nonredeemable character. Because he has no logical motivation for his petulant behavior, he's unsympathetic and since he's unsympathetic I can't root for his redemption. Even if he was turned to the light side, he'd still need to die for all the shit he's done. There's just no coming back from that. He's not a villain with shades of grey to him, he's just all black and that makes him really uninteresting to me.
Did they really need to kill off Luke like that? What an anticlimactic and unnecessary death. The stuff before it was interesting/cool, and the whole projection thing was very neat. I get why it would've exhausted him so much... but so much to the point of death... ehhhh. That seemed unnecessary. I suspect he'll be around as a Force ghost, but. Meh. It was very underwhelming after what was otherwise a cool fight sequence.
I'll never understand why they don't land their ships and things closer to their destination. Like the huge cannon thing, why not land it within immediate firing range? Why land 5 miles away?
Didn't need Rose randomly kissing Finn. Not sure where that was coming from? Was it just to try to drive a wedge into the Finn/Rey romance/relationship that seems way more natural and obvious? If it amounts to nothing then I guess whatever. She's a fangirl and was dying so whatever. But if it turns into a romance I'm gonna be seriously side-eyeing everything.
Overall there was too much happening and not enough down time. When I think about this compared to Empire Strikes Back, there's just no heart to it the way Empire had. This just has too many characters and kept trying to follow them all. They needed to focus on just Rey and Finn, with everyone else pivoting around them as secondary characters. Their reunion should've felt like Leia rescuing Han in RotJ. But instead we're following Poe (who is relevantly unimportant, I'm sorry, he just is) for huge parts of it, and what he's doing is largely uninteresting/tedious/boring because he's fighting in battles we are almost positive he won't die in, and causing trouble that we almost certainly know won't affect the major plot of the show. In fact, I'm almost positive if you removed most of Poe's solo scenes the movie would progress just fine on its own.
And instead of giving Finn something useful to do, they just sent him off on some illogical chase to some other planet to fuck around for a few hours? What? Why not just send everyone with him? Why not at least send as many people as could possibly fit onto that ship to get them to safety? Why not try to do more trips like that to other nearby planets? If they could get to that casino world so easily in that ship why was it taking so long to get the other ships to that old rebel base planet? Also, why didn't they fly the freighter into the Star Destroyer way earlier? Why was that not even a consideration? Why just let the Admiral die pointlessly when they could've planned from the start that after abandoning ship she'd fly it straight into the Star Destroyer? Why couldn't THAT have been the plan she was saving all along to tell Poe? And not wanting to tell him because he'd be angry about it, but it would've proven that she really was a capable, desperate war general and would've made a lot more sense that just having her sitting in her chair piloting (WHY IS SHE EVEN PILOTING??) the ship. How does that thing not have auto pilot? Aughhhh, that was all so stupid.
I don't know why everyone is frothy about the porgs. They were kind of cute when the first showed up, but got real old real fast. Overused. The salt dogs were much more interesting and way less gimmicky feeling.
We should've seen more of Leia's Force abilities prior to her flying through space. Don't get me wrong, that was awesome, but I wanted to see more build up prior to that, or at least a few words somewhere that she'd had some Jedi training.
I did like how Snoke was the one orchestrating the link between Rey and Kylo, but I think it's absolutely moronic that Rey didn't tell Luke that she was having these visions/connections. How did she not think that was a *little* important? I would've also liked to have seen more actual Jedi training for her. Lifting the X-Wing out of the water, running with Luke tied to her back, actually sparring with the lightsaber instead of just swinging it at a rock. I was so excited for her to meet Luke and train from him, but I feel like almost all of their time together was wasted. She wouldn't open up to him, and he wouldn't open up to her, and the training she got was sort of half-assed/stories. Some interesting moments, but just nothing really deep. (I also still think it's really dumb that the rebellion was depending SO MUCH on finding Luke that they based the whole first movie around finding the map to him, but once they finally found a way to him... they sent one random girl they'd just met. And Chewie. Why didn't they at least send a couple of people? Or at least someone Luke knew?)
Speaking of the previous movie, we got several scenes there that gave the impression that Rey was originally trained as a Jedi and witnessed Kylo's attack on the others. Didn't we? I distinctly remember a scene of her as a small child watching as a shadowy figure with a lightsaber attacked and her being abandoned on Jakku by her family. And I remember her reaction and visions when she touched Luke's lightsaber the first time. I'm TOTALLY FINE with her parents being nobodies (if that's even the truth), but it doesn't explain those visions. I'm totally fine with her naturally being awesome with the Force and I like the idea that as Kylo grew stronger in the Dark Side someone would grow equally strong in the Light Side, but I still feel like Rey needs more explanation for why she can do the things she can do. Maybe that'll be in the third movie, but I suspect we're just supposed to believe she naturally knows how to influence minds, sword fight and lift rocks, and I don't quite buy that.
I'm trying to think of more things I liked. Seeing Leia was wonderful. She's a hardcore badass, but of course it was tinged with a lot of sadness. I wanted a much better reunion between Luke and Leia and it's sad to know that even if she were alive we wouldn't get it because they decided to kill off Luke. I'm not opposed to Luke dying, but it didn't serve a really big purpose. Just bought them a bit of time to escape from a retarded situation they put themselves into... Wait, sorry I'm complaining again.
Ugh, I dunno. Everything I'm thinking about is annoying me. Yoda's scene was weird. Can he just show up whenever? Why then? Why not during a more important moment? The way he talked made it seem like he hadn't seen Luke in a long time, but showing up then just seemed random since he didn't stop Luke from destroying the Jedi books.
A whole host of native nuns living on that tiny island was kind of weird/unnecessary.
Ugh, I dunno. Overall I just wanted a more streamlined story, following the main character, where shit *actually happens*. Other than Kylo killing Snoke, almost nothing happened in this movie. The rebels moved from one location to another taking ridiculously huge casualities and killing some Imperials too, and that's about it. I think the whole movie took less than a week. (Gotta love their magical time travel.)
The visuals were stunning, and it was great to see some characters interacting again, but a much better story would have involved the rebels escaping to a small base, having some quiet down time with just our main cast all together (Rey, Finn and Leia, maybe Poe), and following them as they went as a group together to confront Kylo (or vice versa). Spreading everyone out in varying storylines did no service to the story, and weakened it a lot in Finn and Poe's case because their stories weren't interesting. Rey's was the only interesting storyline and should've been the main/central one, but it felt quite sidelined at times.
The Force Awakens wasn't perfect, but it definitely felt better written, with much better pacing and characterizations than whatever this was. I felt like this was just really jagged and poorly put together, with lots of superfluous/time filling scenes, many of which went on for way too long. I constantly felt bored, thinking, "Get back to the main plot!" while I'm watching yet another pointless space battle.
I'm really sad/diappointed. I love Star Wars. I was so pumped and ready for this movie, and I just don't think I liked it. I can't see myself settling into excitedly rewatch this the way I could other Star Wars movies. There's just no heart in this one for me. It's almost all empty action.
Ugh. Convince me I'm wrong.

Just finished watching vld season 2
AND IM SCREAMING!!!! Spoilers ahead so don't read if you haven't watched the whole season yet. I just need a place to fangirl about this. So please bear with me. I can't believe I watched this one sitting instead of sleeping. I'm dying. Let's talk Keith. He's my baby, my fave, so a whole season that's mostly centered around him? I'm so down! Right from the get go we finally delve into his "mysterious past." It's confirmed. He's galra, but he also isn't purple, which, I'm personally happy for? Like, I love all the fanart and fanfics but I don't think it would make sense for him to suddenly turn purple. It's funny because he and Hunk were joking around (kind of) about it. We get to see his dad, and we know that it's his MOM that has some sort of galra connection. Since a lot of fanon was Thace being Keith's dad, it's pretty interesting that it was the mom. But we don't even know how much galra he is though, so that's a bit disappointing. AND HE GOT TO MEET THACE!!! "It was an honor to meet you." I'm crying. Like Keith baby, you're not just an emo kid, you have so much depth and I love it. But wow, I can't believe they killed of Thace so quickly... or did they? But dude, this season they did not play around. There was so much death and torture! It's not explicit, but I was really surprised how dark they went here. Like wow. The Galra empire is super evil. With a side of boot licking commanders, haha. But I love how it's Keith who is trying to humanize the galra. Like yes, Shiro was the one to find the first rebel (I forgot his name sorry) and advocate for him, but as soon as Keith became suspicious of his heritage, he kept connecting to how it's possible that not all galra were evil, even when his team looked at him like he was crazy. The reveal was a bit anticlimactic in my opinion. Like, there wasn't a lot of angst on Keith's part I believe? Like there was a lot of frustration and desperation to know the truth, which is definitely a lot different from fan fiction, where he is im denial or self loathing. But instead he really embraced it which was an interesting twist, not what I expected. The rest of the Paladins seem to take it well, which was surprising too, since there's usually a lot of mixed reactions in fan fiction (this is turning out to be a comparison between what happened in season two and most fan fiction predictions which wasn't intended but oh well). They all seem to accept him for who he is, all except for Allura. Which is interesting because I don't think Coran really cared. But Allura was really harsh towards Keith, surprising since they had their bonding moment (I'm sure the Kallura fans are rejoicing) right before their reveal. But I really appreciate showing the theme of prejudice and maybe even racism within Allura, who is one of the good guys. It's a good thing that she overcame it for Keith in the end (I'm sure the Kallura fans are squeeling at the hug. I was laughing because of the way Allura hugged him. It was such a strange way to initiate a hug, lol. But it was cute, I admit) but it's nice to show that the good guys are flawed too. Something that I noticed was the Keith was thrown into space a lot, and each time Red came to save him. Like... I think she saved him almost half the season. It's strange, because I don't think the other lions did it for their Paladins, granted that no one else was really hurled into space but still. And all of the Paladins got an upgrade on their lions, except for Keith. Like, does that mean anything? And does Keith have the strongest bond with his lion, or his lion just the most overprotective? Like, she attacked the rebel base because Keith was in distress! He wasn't rolling around in space yet! It might not even be an important detail but I can't help but wonder if the directors are going to go with that somewhere. And oh ho ho foreshadowing. Shiro doesn't die/disappear/gets captured this season. ITS FOR THE NEXT ONE LOL THE STUDIO TROLLED US ALL. But seriously. There was so much Shiro and Keith bonding!!! They definitely care for each other. Keith really looks out for Shiro's wellbeing, and look at the desperately he ran towards Black, and Shiro was the one that Keith wanted to see during the trial for the knife. Shiro also trusts Keith a lot and noticed when Keith was stressed out. BUT THEY DIDNT SHOW THE BACKSTORY BETWEEN THESE TWO SO IM CRYING. I'm crossing my fingers for season three. There's a lot of glimpses of Keith potentially leading voltron too. In the first episode, he was able to pilot Black. Granted it was for the sake of Shiro, but still. He was able to do it. I feel like that's huge because each paladin has a special connection to their lion. Since Keith could pilot Black (that one time) it really makes me question his bond with Red. There was no special bonding moment between him and Red, no new unlocked power. But like I mentioned before, Red is super protective. And in the last episode, when Shiro is down for the count for a few moments, Keith took charge. And I have a feeling that now that Shiro is gone (I hope it's just a temporary thing) Keith will really have to step up. But is he ready? I don't even think he wants to. Every time Shiro mentioned Keith leading, Keith was like nope! It could be because Keith didn't want Shiro gone, but also he may not like the responsibility of leading others. He's pretty independent and likes to make his own decision. He stated back to the rebellion commander (I don't remember his name either), that no was commanding/ordering him to sneak into Zarkon's fleet. He's just going to do it. Like. Keith, baby. You have a tendency of going on suicide missions. (On a side note, I found it interesting that Hunk is the one who's assigned to the most dangerous missions. I wonder if there's a reason for it.) Keith had a bonding moment with everybody except for Pidge and Coran. Which is highly disappointing. There's a lot of fanon of Keith and Pidge being conspiracy buddies and for a moment it seems like they could be, but they are barely togetherrr. I hope that they could bond more in season three. And I love Coran, and I would love to see him make deeper bonds than just with the princess. But holy crap, young Coran, teen Coran, child Coran and baby Coran. I DIED. Moving on away from Keith, out of all the villains I respect Haggar the most. Zarkon was reduced to a character obsessed with Black, which became pretty disappointing since I wanted a more complex villain, but HAGGAR. She definitely cares for Zarkon a lot, to the point that she would betray her own people. (Which I hope is something that Allura will come to terms with. That not all Galra are evil and that not all Alteans are good.) Haggar also did what needed to be done while Zarkon was busy locating the black lion, and even if she disagreed with Zarkon, she did her best to support him, instead of trying to overthrow him. It's clear that she supports Zarkon and his reign, not her own power. Which is kind of cool. And Allura. My girl. You are so strong. Like they totally bamfed you up this season. It's great. I love it. Sorry, going to go back to Keith again, but that galra that he rescued in the belly of the worm. Who was that??? They didn't speak at all, and didn't try to harm Keith in anyway, just took what they needed and ran. I really hope that they come back in season three. And that Keith reunites with them. It's such a slim chance, like that random galra was probably just another random faceless galra but still. Here's to hoping. And Matt. He escaped with the rebellion but I don't think it was the blades of something (I forgot that too, sorry). So who did he escape with? More allies for voltron I presume? I really hope that Pidge could reunite with him in season three. And maybe Keith could reunite with his family too? If they're even alive? Like what happened to his parents? When did he get orphaned? Like, he remembers his dads face, so definitely not when he was an infant, but he had the knife all his life and didn't know why. BUT PRINCE LOTOR IS COMING PRINCE LOTOR IS COMING!!! SEASON THREE I AM SO READY AND IM GOING TO DIE FROM THE WAIT.

There were very few things that you disliked in this world. Having a father that was always an hour early to everything was for sure one of them. Mind you, having a father that disapproved of all your life choices was also another one.
So when you, Tae and Hana, Tae’s girlfriend, were getting ready at the apartment, the three of you were not expecting there to be a knock on the door. You hadn’t seen Hana in forever because she was always drowning in homework, and she worked literally all the time. Plus, the girl was a saint. She didn’t have a single social media account, and she spent her free time volunteering in the neonatal ward at the hospital. Your parents were so proud of Tae for managing to snag such a catch…and then there was you.
Your parents had always been harder on you than on Taehyung, but you were not going to hold it against him, especially because he has always been the best thing in your life. So you did everything to please them, making all your decisions in life based on what you thought would make them happy. There was absolutely no way that you were going to tell them exactly your job anytime soon, but since they knew that you were not going to school anymore, you had to figure out something to say.
After all the years of being pushed into things and following orders, lying to your parents was something that came natural. You’d omit youtube and social media all together. Actually, you’d avoid many things altogether.
You opened the door to your dad’s displeased face. Your mom was behind him, looking slightly more comfortable. “Y/N,” he greeted gruffly, taking a step into the apartment. He stuck his nose I the air and looked around, seeing if the place was deemed clean enough for his impossible standards.
“Hi, Dad,” you meekly replied, still wanting to please him…even after all he’d done to your mental health over the years.
When he finally spotted Hana, however, you became dejected. A large smile overtook his features, and he opened his arms to her like she was his actual daughter. “Hana, my dear, how are you?”
Awkwardly giving your dad a hug, Hana replied, “Mostly tired from school and work but I’m holding up pretty good. How about you, Boss?”
“Oh, the same old same old!” He acted as if they were longtime friends, but Hana was still relatively new to the family, especially in comparison to your years. She and Tae hadn’t even been dating a year, and it seemed like he already liked her more than you.
Your mom, on the other hand, was more reserved when it came to Hana. Sure, she approved of her, and she was glad that Tae was happy. But she was more glad to see you than your dad.
“Come here, hun,” your mom whispered, pulling you into a hug. Ever since you were little, your mom confided in you and told you that a lot of what your dad believed was only him. You knew that she was disappointed in you, but she would have never let that disappointment get in the way of loving you no matter what. “Are you well?”
It was hard not to break down into tears in your mother’s arms, but you knew you couldn’t. You couldn’t tell her about what you were doing. Your dad could not know; therefore, she could not know. “I’m fine.”
Thank goodness Tae walked in because you couldn’t take this any longer. Tae was always such a good buffer between you and your father.
“Hi,” Tae said, pulling his girlfriend away from your dad and towards him. Both your parents’ faces lit up at the sight of him.
“Taehyung, my baby, come here!” Your mom let go of you and grabbed him.
While your parents were gushing over how grown up he was looking and asking him how everything was with school, you simply slunk back into a corner and prayed that the night would turn out all right. You didn’t have high hopes.
“Your parents love you,” Hana whispered, leaning her head on your shoulder. “They just need you to let them figure out who you really are. You need to let them actually get to know you…”
“Who made you so smart?”
“I just know you, and I love you. They should know the real you. How can you expect them to know you and love you for you if you don’t let them?”
Just as you were about to tell her that she wouldn’t understand and that it wasn’t that simple —she didn’t really know your dad, there was an interruption from your mother. “Okay! Everyone out! Let’s get to our reservation.”
You were painfully aware that it was still very much before your reservation started, but your mom hated confrontation, and you were sure that the only thing that would happen that night was confrontation.
…
You were right about being super early for the reservation. The restaurant was definitely not ready, so you had to all awkwardly wait outside while the people that were currently eating at your table could finish. The conversation was short, and you preferred to simply sit by yourself on your phone, texting Jin and Namjoon about what a monstrosity this night was going to be.
You were thankful that no one was paying attention to you, and they were all distracted by the fact that Hana had gotten honours all last year and was on track for getting them again this year.
Hana was loved, even by you, but you were sure that you could never live up to her standard.
What happened when you finally say down at the table was to be expected. You father asked you about Hoseok. “So, y/n, how is Hoseok doing?”
“How should I know? He’s Tae’s friend,” you grumbled, taking a sip of your water while slouching further into your seat.
“Well, he’s a very nice boy. He’s going to go far in life,” he rebuked, sitting up straighter, heightening his air of authority.
“He’s just in film. It’s not like he’s becoming a doctor…”
The look on your father’s face morphed into utter disappointment and disapproval. “He’s in school. It’s more than we can say for you. He’s a nice boy, and I expect you to at least give him a chance.”
“Dad, please,” Tae’s voice interrupted. “Now is not the time for this.”
Just as Tae started telling your dad about how he knew that you weren’t interested in Hoseok, you received a text from someone that you knew —Yoongi. He had politely informed you that Jimin and Jungkook were patiently awaiting you to reply to their snapchats. The two of them just did not stop. You were still not entirely talking to Yoongi because it had always been better for you to simply ignore people and let the feelings go away instead of trying to be the bigger person and talking to them. You just ended up liking them more after that.
“Y/N? Can’t you go two minutes without looking at your phone? I thought we raised you differently?” Your mom snapped you out of looking at your screen.
“Were you saying something?” You asked, putting your phone back in your purse because you did not want to deal with it right now.
“I was wondering if you would tell me what you have been doing since you haven’t been going to school?”
You swallowed at her question. What were you going to tell them? You hadn’t really been able to think of anything and you were planning on asking Hana and Tae before your parents got there, but they came early! They were just always ruining your plans.
“Umm,” you started, racking your brain for any possible lie that sounded believable, “I found a well-paying job.”
Your father’s eyes flew to you. The look he was sporting was practically scary, and you felt Tae hold your hand under the table. “What job?”
As you were about to answer your dad’s question, you were able to pick up on the fact that your mom looked at Hana like she would have looked at another family member. There was pride and admiration displayed in her eyes, a look that your dad had on early that night.
“OH! My job? I work for a daycare,” you blurted without thinking. Hanging with Namjin, taking care of their niece and nephew, and making videos with them counted as working at a daycare…right?
“A daycare? That’s what you call a stable job?”
“It pays all the bills, and I love it,” you were obviously talking about your real job. “Wouldn’t you rather I be doing something I loved like this instead of hating my life and becoming a doctor?”
“I’m sure Hoseok would really love having a doctor as a wife,” your dad hinted without any remorse.
“Oh, my god, DAD! Please!”
“Yeah, she’s with someone else,” Tae revealed (probably by accident while trying to change the subject from Hobi), making everyone including you and Hana look at him in question.
“I’m definitely not in a relationship?” You squinted, wondering what he was talking about and where he was going with this information. Taehyung was going to play for this later even though he meant no harm.
“She met someone…at work, and they’re talking,” he continued, avoiding eye-contact with you. He was beginning to feel guilty. There was no way to take the attention off you tonight. You were surprised that people at other tables didn’t notice the tension at the table.
The waiter thankfully came during lulls in conversation, so he didn’t catch much and probably thought we were just another loving family.
“Who is this boy?” Your dad asked forcefully. “Why haven’t we heard about him? Is he in school?”
Rolling your eyes at the situation. You didn’t even want to answer. It would practically be a waste of breath. “Again… I’m not in a relationship. He and I are just friends. I’m S-I-N-G-L-E.”
“That didn’t answer any of my questions,” his voice started to get louder.
“Shh, let’s talk about this later. We don’t need to cause a scene in the restaurant right now. I want to have a peaceful rest of the night with my family,” your mother scolded him, grabbing his hand and giving him his water to wash away his heat.
You silently thanked your mom for all that she still does for you.
***
When your parents dropped you off at home at last, your dad kept you int the hallway to talk afterwards, urging your mom, Tae, and Hana inside and away from you two.
“Y/N, I want you to tell me why you aren’t in school anymore,” you knew he was trying to sound calm, but you knew that in mere seconds it was going to be louder than for what you were prepared, for what the neighbours prepared.
“Dad, would you just trust me that I can figure out my own life?”
“But why? Have I ever steered you wrong?”
“No! But there’s only so much control that you can have over me. I need to be making my own mistakes and making my own path. You have to let go at some point!” You didn’t expect yourself to get into it so quickly.
“Why reinvent the wheel? I’ve made all the mistakes, so why do you have to? I just want the best for you, Y/N.”
“I understand that, but let’s be real. There’s more to life that expectations. I need to be happy and not try to please everyone else around me. I want to live my own life and make my own choices and date who I want to date and be who I want to be.”
“Why won’t you date Hoseok? He’s such a nice boy!” It was like he completely disregarded everything that you had just told him. He had selective hearing, only catching exactly what he wanted to hear and nothing more.
It was so frustrating. You had to stop yourself from pulling out your hair. You could only have this exact conversation with him so many times before it started to get old. It was nice being away from someone that made you feel so bad about yourself so often. “Did you just completely ignore what I just said? Why did you even bother coming here if you weren’t going to take some time and actually have a civil conversation with me? Like honestly, just stay home next time.”
“Don’t you date talk to me like that!”
“Oh, and what are you going to do about it now?”
His face was stunned. He had no control over you anymore and you could tell that it was eating him alive. When he didn’t answer, you continued, “And I’m never going to date Hoseok. I don’t like him and he doesn’t like me. End of story. Now, I’m going to bed. I love you, but get the hell out of my building before someone calls the cops on all the noise we’re surely making.”
You didn’t look back when you walked into your place, not sparing a glance at any of the people that were definitely eavesdropping with their ears against the doors. You were on a mission. You headed to your room and you were going to bed. You didn’t need this negativity in your life.

Now You See Me: part 22.5 (2249 words) - best thing since sliced bread
• • • • • •
You’re a content creator that is wanting to change up your brand a little bit.
Yoongi is a faceless musician. Well, he’s two people at once. He’s Agust D online and while performing, but he’s Min Yoongi in real life.
Who will he be to you?

It was a couple hours into game night with everyone, and it was already wild. Except for Jungkook because he fell asleep under the table while petting Yeontan a while ago.
For one, Yoongi had just finished up rapping some new song he was working on in front of everyone. He’d just finished a drink and was feeling great when he performed, so it was overall the best thing you’d ever witnessed. In fact, you were sure that if Tae were there, he would have literally thrown himself onto the floor for the man. Really, you were sad that their dinner reservations could not be changed. The two of them would have had so much fun with your group.
The second thing that contributed to the wild night was the fact that Hoseok wouldn’t stop holding your hand, which you didn’t mind, per se. But after what Yoongi had told you, you had a weird feeling. Just as you were about to whisper and ask him exactly why he was holding your hand so firmly and possessively, there was a drunken interruption.
“Yah! The music video turned out so well!” Jin slurred, not looking at anyone but Namjoon while talking to everyone. It was a well known fact that the two of them couldn’t keep their hands off each other, and alcohol just made it worse. Actually, Namjoon currently had his hands under Jin’s shirt and was resting his lips against Jin’s neck too. Nothing else was happening, but the skinship was real.
On one side of you was Hoseok, because he was clearly holding your hand, and on the other was Yoongi. Both men froze at Jin’s statement, not sure which person he was complimenting. With Yoongi’s mask securely placed on his face and only a straw coming up from his drink, you weren’t able to even remotely decipher what he was thinking.
But Jin continued before anything could be said, “The song and editing were good, sure, but Y/N just was WOW. She really made my heart hurt. Like seriously the best thing since sliced bread.”
A smile formed on your lips as you felt Yeontan wiggle in between your feet and settle between your legs. “Awh! Auntie Jin, the praying mantis, you’re the sweetest but it was all Hobi and Agust D…”
You saw Yoongi’s head turn to look at you just as Jimin added, “Don’t be modest! Your beauty is what got the video so many views in 24 hours! Even now, you’re filming all of us, and there is not a person on your subscriber list or that has watched your videos that doesn’t think you’re nice to look at!”
You blushed as Jimin’s comment. Unfortunately, you were still looking at Yoongi, so he got the full view of your blushing cheeks (as if they could even get more flushed after the alcohol flush). Everybody in the room but you could tell that the look Yoongi was giving you matched Jimin’s statement.
“You’re beautiful, Y/N,” Hobi whispered into your ear and squeezed your hand tighter.
You took this moment to let Hoseok know that you only liked him in one way, even if you weren’t sure what his true feelings were. So you told him, “You’re such a good friend, Hobi. Honestly, I’m so happy that I have you as a brother.”
The smile on his face didn’t reveal his inner pain as he continued clutching your hand like you were together. The mood stayed for a little while longer, Namjin now choosing to lay kisses on each other and play with the other’s hair, Jungkook still passed out, Jimin trying his hardest to make you blush, Hoseok’s hand in yours and Yoongi silently watching your every move.
Actually the card game had been completely forgotten about, black and white cards strewn across the table that was also littered with alcohol spills and popcorn. This was a night that you’d want to repeat, maybe next time you wouldn’t film it. You could live in the moment as much as the next person. Plus, with everything happening at once, you weren’t even sure that any of the footage you’d gotten was usable.

Now, 4 hours since the camera had been turned on, it was off.
At this time, Namjin had already headed home because they had to babysit tomorrow afternoon, and they needed to get some sleep and nurse the hangovers that they were sure to have. Hoseok had gotten a ride home with Jimin and Jungkook because he lived nearby, but Yoongi decided to stay for a bit longer, wanting to help clean up. He sent his friends on their way because they were big babies and clearly too drunk to function.
A side note, everyone clearly took a cab because there would be no driving from this shindig. You wanted all your friends alive and well.
Actually, Yoongi did not drink all that much that night, or ever you assumed. He had nursed a few drinks, so he was feeling good. He didn’t seem like the type to want to get drunk. You were in the same boat. You had a few, but you knew when you had to stop.
You were seriously amazed that Yoongi had managed to keep his mask (on his chin for the most part) and cap on the whole night because it got hot in there and everyone was goofing around. You’d really have to be careful while editing. If his face was showing, you’d need to blur it out or put a picture of his profile pic on it or something. But you could worry about that tomorrow.
“I’ll help you put everything away. We made a huge mess,” he said, picking up as many soju bottles as he could in his hands and taking them to the recycling bin.
“Okay,” you whispered. You didn’t know if it was your tipsy state or fatigue, but you found yourself watching Yoongi carefully. You noticed that now that the camera was off, and it was just the two of you, he took his mask off and pushed his hair back, putting his cap on backwards.
It was a look that you found you wanted him to wear more often. In the background, faint music could be heard and briefly, there was a siren outside. But none of that noise stopped you from making eye-contact with him for a second. You quickly looked away, long enough for him to hopefully think nothing of it before you continued watching him again.
Your eyes followed the slight stumble in his step when he tripped over air. It was absolutely the cutest thing that you’d ever seen him do. You looked at his long fingers holding the bottles carefully, cleaning up your apartment, and wondered what you did to deserve being friends with this man. There was something about him that just made you want to get to know everything about him. You knew there was a lot hiding under that mask and cap.
You were simply standing at the counter, blatantly staring at him instead of helping when he turned around. He caught your eye for real this time, and you looked away, blushing. “Am I cleaning this all by myself or are you going to help out?”
Grateful that he didn’t bring up your staring, you went to the table quickly, clumsily, and grabbed the empty bags of snacks. The cards were still everywhere, so you were set on organizing those as well.
Your kitchen was becoming cleaner by the second. Yoongi removed his jacket, sporting a black t-shirt underneath. It wasn’t like you planned to notice his arms right away, but you couldn’t help yourself. You’d rarely seen him get so comfortable. The only other time was when you’d had that fun night of puzzles and arcade games.
When he caught you staring at him this time, the third time, the boy blessedly kept quiet and simply let you look at him. In fact, you could feel his eyes, trail down your body as much as yours raked over his. You were standing there, a broom in hand, ready to sweep the floor, but he was still checking you out.
Walking towards you slowly, he placed his hand over yours that was holding the broom. Leaning to your ear, he whispered, “Here, let me do that.”
His breath on your skin left you with shivers coursing through your body. You couldn’t reply, meekly nodding instead. At this point a low rumble came from his chest, and you were sure that he could tell how flustered he made you. You couldn’t even hide your attraction, and if you were being honest, you didn’t want to. Even his hand over yours holding a broom made your heart do a thing.
The rest of the cleaning was done in a blur, both of you mostly sober now. You needed to get Yoongi out of your house as soon as you could because you couldn’t stop looking at him, thinking about him, wanting him…
Walking beside Yoongi down the hallway with Tannie at your feet when the cleaning finally finishing (it felt like it took a thousand years), you waited as he put on his shoes. He had already put on his jacket again in the kitchen, so at least you weren’t distracted by his arms any longer. Something improved.
Yoongi slowly stood straight, looking you in the eye with an odd expression. “You’ll be okay on your own?” He asked, low voice seemingly lower than usual.
“I’ll be fine. Tae should be home soon,” you managed, leaning your back and using the wall for support. How had you not noticed how perfect Yoongi could be until this night? Sure, you knew he was hot and that he checked literally all your boxes, but something in you shifted tonight. He was consuming you. There was absolutely no way that he was leaving your mind when he left tonight.
Yoongi took a step towards you, and your breath hitched. It was clearly audible, but he didn’t seem to notice. One of his hands moved up and tucked a stray piece of hair behind your ear. “I’m going to leave now.” Was it just you or was his body coming closer to yours, head moving toward yours?
“Okay. Text me when you get home, so I know you got there safely…” Your words came out in barely a whisper because you were sure that he was moving closer to you.
“For sure…yeah…”
Your hands that were previously just hanging by your side went up to his chest, stopping him from getting any closer. “Yoongi, what are you doing?” You mentally face-palmed. Why would you ask a question at a time like this. You’d been kissed before. You definitely knew what was going to happen, you stupid girl!
Luckily, he simply ignored your question, choosing to grab the wrist of one of your hands and guide it, so it was around his neck. His eyes, that were staring at your lips, met yours, looking for any sort of hesitation from you.
“So Hoseok?” He questioned, not moving a muscle away from you.
“Hoseok who?”
The Yoongi that was consuming your before was coming at you full-speed, and you didn’t want him to stop. His body was warm against your own, even though he was barely touching you. Your breathing became laboured just thinking about kissing him, and it felt like an eternity passed before he connected your lips.
He was hesitant at first, but you didn’t waste any time in kissing him back. It was clear that you wanted it and him.
Yoongi’s lips felt right against your own. They were soft, and he tasted of alcohol. You moved your lips with ease, arms both going around his neck and pulling him closer to you. Yoongi took a step closer to you, pushing his torso against yours. When you felt his waist rest against yours, you gladly opened your mouth to him.
His teeth grazed your bottom lip as he pulled away for a second, looking into your eyes to see your reaction. When you lazily closed your eyes again, you felt his lips come back to yours. His tongue darted inside your mouth, moving adeptly against your own. The hands that were previously clutching at your sides moved into your hair, tugging it to angle your head.
When this caused the kiss to deepen, you let your hands slide from around his neck to under his jacket and around his back. This kiss was something else. You hadn’t kissed anyone in a long while, and you couldn’t have been more ecstatic that it was Yoongi. It felt as if his touch was setting you in fire, skin blazing with each kiss.
In the back of your mind, you wondered what this kiss would mean…if it would mean anything to him. But that thought didn’t last long because when neither of you were paying attention, the front door had been unlocked and Taehyung walked through the door.
“Agust D?” Tae asked, causing you to push Yoongi off of you abruptly.
“Tae!” You exclaimed, trying to catch your breath and fix yourself. Yoongi looked into your eyes one last time before pushing himself out the door. You were left in front of your brother, who was looking like he wasn’t sure what he saw…or what he thought he saw.
