Ngl kinda funny how Percy Jackson and School For Good And Evil in their latest adaptions insisted on rewriting the books when brought to life...but while Percy Jackson did it to fix any issues in the books and the rewriting as a result was good and succeeded, School For Good And Evil didn't really succeed in the changes they made and if anything brought more issues into play and was pretty bad as a result.

#like percy jackson addressed issues in the books in the show in a good way and did diverse casting pretty well #but in sfgae's case they literally changed so much about the plot it looks weird as fuck #and the diverse casting was good until you see they literally removed focus on agatha in the books in favor of focusing #on sophie more in the film....sophie being white in film while agatha is black #like again sfgae did have issues in its writing but the film didnt really seem interested in addressing those #just ensuring sophie is a likeable main character suddenly while not focusing on agatha so much #which gives dread for that rumored sequel as the next two books literally require agatha focus #let alone focus on her and tedros something the film also failed to focus on #so uh yeah one won the other failed but not fully if it does get a sequel
