2. How dare you? 8 minutes… I feel personally attacked and distressed. You know it takes me at least 6 months to write anything!)

Being a polyglot is a blessing and a curse, and for Charles it’s mainly a memory game of who can understand his mother tongue and who can’t.

Sometimes Charles can go days without speaking French if he’s in Maranello, days without speaking Italian if he’s home. Sometimes he can go weeks without speaking English and that’s a risky thing to do, because the consequences can be embarrassing at best or damaging at worst.

The first day back in the paddock after Summer Break is a sport of its own, a not-so-finessed display of linguistic gymnastics. If he was awarded points out of 10, today Charles would be on course to score a three, if lucky. He’s already had to ask multiple reporters to repeat themselves and confused words with similar pronunciations. “Eligible and illegible aren’t the same word, Charles,” Mia whispered after an interview with SkySports.

Now he and a group of drivers are waiting for their briefing to commence. Charles doesn’t regret brining up the topic of dessert until Alex turns the question back on him: “So what about you, what did you have as a final summer break treat?”

“Me? I had, er,” oh no, not again, English slips from his grasp, the words that were on the tip of his tongue dissolve like sugar in boiling water. “It was… crêpes, and you know, that spread…” the vagueness doesn’t do him any favours. “Some people put it on toast,” Charles flicks his eyes to Max. He doesn’t look like he’s the least bit interested in helping.

“Jam?” George asks.

“No, not jam.”

“Biscoff?” Valtteri pipes up from further down the row.

“No, the one that’s like peanut butter, but different.”

“Nutella?” Max supplies, raising the pitch of his voice like it’s a question — like he wasn’t the one who slaved over the pan for Charles last night when neither of them could sleep.

“Oui, crêpes with Nutella and bananas and strawberries.”

“Sounds delicious,” Max adds, his smile pulling into a smirk.

“Yes, yes, compliments to the chef,” Charles rolls his eyes and if anyone else notices fondness in his tone they don’t comment.

idt ill finish that girl Charles fic for the fest... I dont think people liked it also but i decided to use that ending plot in another fic since it would be more fitting lol

What are your writing strengths?

i can write fast when I'm in mood. once i wrote 8k in a day. the words will just flow and ill be so thankful

What are your writing weaknesses?

tbh im not sure? i like my writing and we all have writers block from time to time, but sometimes i wish i had a better vocabulary but also vocab means nothing if you're going to make ppl open dictionaries every 10 word 😭 also paragraph starts. i hate starting them w "charles max max charles a but charles" if you get what i mean so i especially pay attention on it every new paragraph to make the reading easier 😭

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

i always add a () for the english version if I'm going to keep the foreign dialogue just a bit, because come on no one needs to switch between tabs on translate/fic, but if its long, then adding a subtle detail about how they keep the convo in that language and writing in italicized is cool. i also will write dutch and french pet names so randomly. i dont care if it sounds bad for native people im not a native for both 💔

because its my first, and i like the scenario so much, brainstorming w many irls, i think its a very good plot- oiptto. alas i had some people telling me the writing is rlly bad which is, cool, it was my first time writing a fic let alone in english. if you ask about writing, even if i wrote vanilla carnations so fast, i think its rlly nice written also @a-amvryllis helped me sooo much about each event and plots (and i do believe it was creative all of them in general) so i would say that.

And he manages to give his answers, even if he is hyper aware of Max next to him the entire time. He’s aware of every tiny little movement, every shift of Max’s back on the couch, every brush of long fingers over Max’s microphone. The way Max always handles that fucking microphone has done things to Charles’ body on so many occasions already, but today — Christ, Charles feels on the verge of losing his fucking mind.

And then Max says something equally obscene.

“A lot of cardio and a lot of wrist training.”

Charles nearly fucking chokes on his own spit.

OH MAN y'all....this is harder than you might THINK

Max can never stop himself from running his fingers through the fluffy, dark hair, relishes in the way Charles’ body shivers at the contact. He wants to murmur good boy into the silence between them, but he’s fairly certain that Charles is half asleep, eyes shut, lashes fluttering, soft puffs of breath rushing across Max’s skin. It’s not abnormal for him to fall asleep like this, safe and sated and cared for, even after a rough race weekend.

🎃 - do you have any favorite brainstorming techniques? how do you like to gather ideas for your wip?

I AM A CHRONIC MUSIC BRAINSTORMER. This is a wild thing to say but usually essentially what happens to me is that oftentimes I'll start off with a vague idea. Usually this happens if I've read something compelling, or watched something interesting, or in the case of the f1rpf stuff I write, something happens during a race and I'm like "HMMMM, WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT THIS"

Along with this, music plays an INSANE role in writing for me, and I think i've mentioned this before, actually, but like...playlists are the be all end all for me. I'll often hear a song that's lyrics make me thing. There is a novel i'm working on loosely that I call the "dumb gay snowboarding novel" because that is...essentially what the novel is about, and I got inspired to write it because of a song called Resurrect by a band called Driveways. One line in particular stood out, and I just...started writing.

A lot of it is like "Hm what would I find interesting in this situation, and things kind of snowball. My darling anons help also, by sending me all sorts of questions and asks about things that help me extrapolate and flesh out my verses.

I'm like....a chronic insane person brainstormer, so there's no method to the madness, it's only madness.

What to expect for this kinktober!

Hi loves! Thank you so much for participating in the brainstorming/prompt filling of the days for kinktober. While I will be trying to make a headstart in between work the upcoming two weeks, I wanted to share the prompts and plans for kinktober. So they got minutes to burn, thoughts to spare, and they’d like to spend it on each other. Slave Max waiting for his Master Lewis to come home, waiting on his knees just like Lewis likes it, wearing the prettiest collar. 

day 6: dubcon - charlos [ warning!! Dark + sex under influence of alcohol. ]

Carlos and Charles are at a club together with other friends, even though they’re annoyed with each other. Charles is actually mad at Carlos, because Carlos Sr has been an ass and the season isn’t going how it should be going. And how the fuck is carlos that bad at accepting his place as a second river?? Charles doesn’t understand it, it’s an amazing thing to accept Ferrari. But well, they end up kind of tipsy. And that’s how Charles discovers how Carlos can be even more touchy than normally and well. If he takes up the opportunity to be a little rougher in bed than he usually is, he could blame it on the alcohol.

day 7: virginity - nortrell

Just Roommates Nortrell where one of the two discovers the other is still a virgin and kind of goes feral because of it. 

day 8: breeding - versaindo (p1), carlando (p2)

Part one - Carlos and Lando have been stable for years now, fully in love and very happy with where they are in life. Max has been single all that time, just as happy, but lately heh as noticed that there’s something missing in his life. And it’s not a partner. No, it’s a kid. He has been thinking about having kids, and after careful thinking, planning and lots of research, he has decided he is ready to have a kid. 

And well, as to how to get a kid; that too asked for a lot of research and thinking. Eventually, after Max updated Carlos and Lando, there is a careful proposal; what if Carlos helps Max get that kid. Lando’s there ofcourse, supportive in every step. 

Part two - After Max has gotten pregnant, Carlos and Lando are very happy for him. But it has gotten them thinking, what about them. They’re happy, technically not missing anything, but what about an addition? And then Carlos starts thinking about how Lando would look pregnant. Pretty, so glowing, a father to their kids. And Carlos wants it, needs it, just as much as Lando wants it. And they go for it. 

day 9: lactation - lestappen

Max is pregnant for the first time and far along enough that he has started lactating. He is very casual about it, he considers it part of nature. Like, we discussed this and were informed about it when we made this choice and I’m okay with it. He knows Charles isn’t and that’s why they decided on doing it like this, but it doesn’t bother him at all. Charles, however is about to go insane and wants a tit in his mouth at all times. he’s just. freezing whenever he notices it. Thinking, you might be fine but I’m not. Save me. I want it. I need to taste it. 

day 10: praise kink - carlando

Phase one: discovery. Carlos has noticed Lando’s reaction to praise at work. Phase two: in use. He tries that in the bedroom, and it works wonderfully. Phase three: further exploration.Using that knowledge in public to turn lando on. Lando has the best reactions.

It’s past midnight when he gets home and Max is fast asleep but he looks so gorgeous, naked and spread out on the bed. So seeing him naked like this isn’t something new, but to see that Max is completely prepared is another thing. Lewis knows they have spoken about it, and the sign on the nightstand shows that this isn’t just the aftermath of Max doing selfcare. Yet it’s still crazy to see, to know that Max trusts him this much, and he can’t help but eat it up.

Lance is so tall and lanky compared to Alonso, but we all know how Alonso is the big one in bed, so thick and strong compared to Lance. Lance used to get shy about it, but Alonso totally eats it up and can’t help but lovingly tease Lance about it. 

day 14: orgasm denial - lestappen

Maffia au. Darling maffia prince Charles wants to prove to his father that he can be just as ruthless and is not just a pretty face by capturing the golden boy of the Red bull maffia. Charles’ father thinks his son might have finally chosen the clan about himself and might have made a ruthless choice, when, in fact, Charles totally chose for himself and claimed Max just because he could, and all the pleasure it would bring him. 

They end up developing this dom/sub relationship that’s not completely healthy, but as much as Charles does want to keep that hard front, he is and will always be softer than his dad wants so he gives Max some aftercare. 

day 15: shotgunning - carlando

Carlos is best friends with Lando’s older brother, so he has always been off limits, but one day at a party things happen. Heavy making out until Lando humps Carlos and it ends in shotgunning. 

day 16: double penetration - charles/carlos/max 

They’re out on the monaco sea on Charles’ boat for his birthday. Sugar daddy au? 

day 17: threesome or moresome - lewis/max/fernando

It starts off as a regular threesome and they’ve been going at it for a few rounds, when Fernando fucks Max again, and that’s when Fernando jokingly says, “You’re loose enough to take both of us”. Max takes it as a challenge, which is only helped by the competitiveness of Lewis and Fernando. It actually happens after a raceweekend when the three of them share a podium.

Charles and Max normally don’t ever do anything that could possibly impact race day, but they have experimented a little which gave them the knowledge that while Charles’ skin is sensitive and he can’t stop thinking about it, it doesn’t actually impact Charles’ driving. So they go for it. Max gets permission to spank Charles as punishment for something he did during qualification.

carlando going on a holiday together, a summer holiday, with lots of wet and naked skin where they cannot keep back anymore nd they just have to. One of them gets caught jerking off and now they finally get to do something about it.

Lance and Fernando have hid their relationship for as long as they could, but Lance isn’t patient and Fernando is a man that likes to make his claim known, so the meet-my-parents-as-my-lover dinner comes earlier than some might expect considering the fact that their relationship had been a secret. They might or might not have some afterfun with syrup the morning after when Fernando makes breakfast the next morning.

All boys boarding school au; it starts as a bet and the expectation would be for the other to be humiliated, but they both really like it. 

day 22: intercrural sex - versainz

A weekend where they have been a bit sentimental, missing the old teammate days but also teasing the other that it’s better that they’re no longer. It goes on and on until tension rises, but they have only 15 minutes left until they need to get to the press duties. 

day 23: collaring - lestappen

They’ve only gotten into BDSM recently and Charles doesn’t want to introduce things too quickly and scare Max. He has dommed people before but having Max ism ore important to him than being a hard dom. But Max has been doing research and he found out what collaring is and now he’s a little desperate to wear Charles’ collar - he just doesn’t know how to approach the subject. One night Max comes to Charles, plops on the couch next to him, and shows his phone. “I’d like to know if you are into this because I think i might, kind of, be”. It drives Charles crazy, waiting for the beautiful collar to arrive, but when it does, they go crazy with it. 

day 24: crossdressing - nortrell

It starts as a bet, but both of them realize they like it more than expected and they decide to fully crossdress in private. Lando thinks it’s a bit stupid at first, but slowly realizes he really likes it. He’s a bit harsh about it, which annoys Max. But Max is very encouraging! Especially since Max is so hot. The two of them being all pretty in skirts and dresses and floral tops. They probably end up thigh humping each other to get off. 

day 25: pregnancy - lestappen

i feel like i had something for this, i didn't randomly make this up i just don't remember seeing it as i scrolled thru my tag?? might make something up

Lando is pregnant and very, very horny. Carlos loves to drive him to the edge until Lando’s crying from overstimulation, begging to finally be allowed to come.

Max finds out by accident that Charles loves to be choked. They’ve been in a relationship for quite some time already, and are comfortable sexually. A little vanilla, but they sometimes try something new, but are overall satisfied. Yet one day, they’re a little more intense, a little rougher, and while Max only teases at first, they both discover how much they like choking and get into it.

Carlos loves the way Max takes him, lax limbs and all.  Max loves being used and especially loves the idea that Carlos cannot wait for him to wake up. Sometimes Max mumbles a bit grumpily when Carlos accidentally wakes him up before the good stuff happens, but then he does remember why he likes it so much. Sometimes Carlos fucks Max when Max is asleep, but then Max wakes up Carlos by sucking him off. One is a night person, the other a morning person.

2. what's your total ao3 word count?

We are currently at 3,030,755. I tend to write long oneshots and decently long multichapters so I'm not surprised my word count is as high as it is. Again, majority of these words come from Killer and Healer because there is just something about them that makes my brain go brrr

Most Killer and Healer at this point, but sometimes I'll write an S.C.I. fic and I'm also going to dip my toes into F1 rpf. Currently working on my first fic now

On the rare as fuck occasion that i've actually writing MCD, my fic Promise to Keep for Chinese Paladin 4. I too am shocked that I wrote MCD because I normally write happy endings, but I was actually okay with how canon ended so...I was fine with the MCD (cried like a bitch while writing it tho)

All of my fics minus Promise to Keep

Oh, I did once...and it turned into a whole post that I made on here because if they had gone just after the fic/me, I would have just deleted it and moved on (while simmering with rage) but no, they went after my readers and insulted them and NO ONE goes after my readers

9. do you write smut?

No I do not. Never have, never will. It squicks me, so I don't. I can read it, can't write it

10. craziest crossover?

Eh...I did a big crossover back in 2020 between s.c.i, history 3: trapped, and guardian. That fic was fun

Yeah, back in 2020 when I was working on my fic The Untamed Moments, someone was copying it word for fucking word over on Wattpad in Spanish. One of my readers at the time noticed it and I shut that shit down real quick. So...word to the wise. Don't steal my fics or I will end you

I have! My fic So This Is What Love Feels Like was translated to Vietnamese. I was very honored

In the past...wouldn't do it again. I like brainstorming fics with people but at the end of the day, I need to be the one writing the fic. And my style is so different from others that you could definitely tell if a fic was co-written

Yuezhi. Hands down. But man, Lestappen is getting up there...

15. what's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

God permitting, the Killer and Healer rewrite. Same with my Kei x Yaku fic. Problem is, I keep getting distracted by other wips and ideas so I like...haven't gotten around to finishing them. The rewrite I know is going to take me a while, but the Kei x Yaku fic I just gotta sit down and work on/crank out or I'll lose my hyperfixation with it and want to either abandon it or delete it. And I don't want to do either, so I gotta get back into it

Dialogue/making characters still feel in character, no matter the au, if that makes sense. I've been told my dialogue is great

18. thoughts on dialogue in another language?

I will only ever use dialogue in another language if I know what I'm writing in another language. Things might also cross over, like "hyung" or "gege" or stuff like that because it just sounds better but other than that, I don't use dialogue in another language unless i'm 100% sure of the meaning

Yes I love me a good milkshakes but im not obsessed with them or anything (cant stand strawberry tho). My dad has been making absolute bangers of milkshakes for as long as I can remember so it was a cold beverage I grew up with a lot. This also means i'm very judgy about my milkshakes so I don't drink them unless i'm sure they're gonna be good.

@maxcuntstappen's I Loved You Before I Knew I Was Supposed To holds a special special place in my heart. Lav, being the absolute majesty they are, did a phenomenal job with it. It's so tender and soft and sweet i can't get enough of it. I've read it enough times to narrate it scene-by-scene. I wish I could read i again for the first time ( I would gladly slam a cardoor on my hand for it). Something about it makes me wanna hug Lav and cry. (CHECK OUT LAV'S OTHER FICS TOO THEY'RE ALL AMAAZING AND SO WORTH THE READ AND RE-READ)

Right Where You Belong by @amarynas is another absolute fav. This remains the fic to which i cried the most without a doubt. It's so fluffy (lets ignore the absolute heart attacks it gave me for amin here) and RWYB Max is an absolute loser boyerfriend (affectionate) and I wouldn't want it any other way. Also shoutout to Cisca for making Charles so tenderly fierce. It was a treat.

Long Live (The Walls We Crashed Through) is a fic i'm an absolute sucker for (sue me, i'm weak for the bsfs to lovers trope). It's so tender and nice and heartwarming and I wish I could read it again for the first time.

Never in a million years would I have thought I'd read Chef AUs, but here we are Grapefruit Mignonette and Give Me That Fire are both Chef/Restaurant AUs that truly slap. They're both so well written and give you an amazing insight into the industry while keeping you in a chokehold the entire time.

Red, White & Orange-Nassau and Homeward Bound by @f1-giuki are OMLLL. They're both so good it's insane. They give me sm comfort i wanna cry. The found-familyness of it all has me in such a strong chokehold and i don't ever wanna come out of it.

Meet Me In Montreal is a series by my legend @bumblewyn that i absolutely love. It's a pretty quick read (it's all mini fics that averages at 2kish words per work, hence why the series) and a constant reminder about these two's inability to be normal about each other with a side-dish serving of angst.

I'm pretty sure there are so many gems out there i've missed mentioning bc i have the memory-span of an octopus (fun fact if you havent figued it out; octopuses are the animals with the shortest memory span of just 3 seconds) but yeah. RIP to all the other amazing fics out there that i've read and adored but simply can't remember atm, i hate my brain too (and i suck at bookmarking or saving my favs so here we are). (P.S. All these writers have more amazing, amazing fics that i've not mentioned so do check them out if you haven't)

Uhm. It literally has no meaning behind it, love. I love love stars (fav shape fs) and i was struggling to find a username and i happened to be dooding stars at the edge of a sticky note whie brainstorming usernames so i decided on star, my brain generated the word 'world' for me and it became starrwrld bc starworld was already taken. (and maybe, just maybe, it is a small allusion to the song starman and to bowie himself bc i love that man)

I'm currently plotting and drafting some wips for my Lestappen April challenge where I will hopefully post 30 one shots in 30 days (based off of various prompts I have received). Random sentences from today's brainstorming include

“I am not going to do anything” Oscar is aware that the statement comes out more like a question, like he is seeking some sort of reassurance that he isn’t going to lose it completely and do something career ending like try and breed the current world champion in the middle of the cool down room. 

And

Charles hopes he is not going to knot in his race suit, if he does he is going to have to retire and move somewhere remote - like the fucking moon.

How many works do you have on ao3?

232. Most of that is from my MCYT days. 37 are Formula 1, which is what I'm writing now.

I will be the first to tell you that some of those are serieses of oneshots that could reasonably be posted under a single work instead. But, the number is the number.

What’s your total word count?

I have 365,184 words posted as of right now, so I average ~1.5k per work. I'm happy with that.

It's nice to see that some of my old stuff as held up. Of course, as I writer I want to keep improving, and would like this list to reflect that, but it will be a sad day when my MCYT things fall off the leaderboards.

Do you respond to comments? Why/ why not?

I do respond to comments.

I used to get excited when an author responded to comments that I'd left on their fics, so I thought I'd pay that forward in case there are other people that feel similarly.

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

Well. I have 232 fics, so I'm not going to remember all of them. But from what comes to mind Only Pain (Traffic SMP, Scarian) had an angst ending.

Something more recent that has an angsty ending in Already Packed (F1, Lestappen) from Made In The A.M (one of the oneshot series that could've been a single fic).

Wait. I think Jaskier dies at the end of The Flowers' Breath (Witcher, Gaskier).

What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

Uhm. See this is tough because I have written a lot of very crack-filled oneshots. I'm not going to pick any of those, instead I'll say Holdin' On (F1, Lestappen) also from Made In The A.M. Cause that whole series of Max and Charles are exs, and this is the fic in which they get back together. It's a little more impactful if you read the previous instalments in the series though.

Do you write crossovers?

No. I just don't really vibe with them. Don't read them either.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Not that I remember, or that I'm aware.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do write smut. I'm actually trying to get better at it by writing a Winner's Room series with Max and Charles (F1).

I keep them M/M. It's pretty vanilla: anal and oral, the usual.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I remember, or that I'm aware.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Not yet.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No. One of my weaknesses as a writer is that I don't like brainstorming with other people about my ideas at all. But I am more than happy to chat with other people about / through their ideas. So like, no, not in any official capacity as the question implies.

What's your all-time favourite ship?

I don't think I have an all-time favourite ship, but Dramione has been a staple of my reading habits. When I'm in a slump and need a jumpstart to get back into reading they always do the trick.

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

One of the first WIPs I semi-plotted out in my drafts is a Lando/Oscar/Logan OnlyFans fic. Based on where I am right now, and the priorities list I've got for my drafts, I don't know if I'm ever going to get around it to. And that's a real shame.

What are your writing strengths?

I'm going to say my sense of style. I have a very particular way of crafting my sentences, and a lexicon that has very specific words I tend to use over and over. I also have a liberal love of the use of em-dashes, which I've found isn't typical.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Description. I have this habit of painting broad strokes, but never getting into the details.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I speak French as a second language, so I sometimes will give Charles, Pierre, and Esteban French dialogue. I don't like the way translations look in the middle of fics, so I try to look at it with my English brain and see if it looks like one could be able to pick out the main words and plough through without pulling out their translation app of choice. Or, like in the case of A Pile of Navy Clothes (F1, Lestappen), I will have another character summarize what was just said but in English. Like in that fic, Pierre and Charles notice Max in Charles' nest and talk French about it, and then Lando comes in and also notices.

I also try to follow musical theatre rules with the French: if the emotions are too much for speech, sing; if the emotions are too much for singing, dance -> if the emotions are too much, swap to native language. But only for the French speakers, sorry Max, I don't speak Dutch.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Dream SMP, MCYT. It was a Technoblade fic, and I didn't use any names. It was only description and pronouns.

It became a stylistic thing when I wrote a sequel, but I will readily admit it that choice was because I was so shocked at myself for actually writing fic that I was in denial about it; hence not using his name.

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?

I have a Lockwood & Co idea that I want to put to paper. I also want to write more for Legendborn (go read Legendborn).

In terms of F1, I'd like to expand past Lestappen and explore other dynamics. There's that Lando/Oscar/Logan fic, and I have a Carlandoscar fic I will definitely be getting too at some point. I also want to do Pierresteban, but I don't think I can write hate sex yet.

What's your favourite fic you've written?

Hello, I have no clue if this is something that belongs to your ask box so please forgive me if it doesn't, but I'm kinda desperate and have no one to talk about it with. 😅

There's this idea that's been in my mind for over a month now. I've been watching Strictly Come Dancing and of course, I ended up imagining Lestappen being one of the couples there.

I don't know if any fic like that exists, but I didn't find any. I've been wondering about trying to write it myself but I never wrote anything and I'm kinda scared of it, moreover, I'm going crazy cause I can't even decide if Charles Pro Dancer or Max Pro Dancer would be a better fit. I just see so much potential in both options it's impossible for me to decide. 😭

As I already said, I don't have anyone to talk to about it so I was hoping maybe you could tell me what you think about it or direct me somewhere where I could find someone willing to talk about it.

I personally don't watch Stricly Come Dancing or any similar shows, so I don't really have much helpful expertise to add here, but I will say that I think your idea for this AU is so interesting and you should definitely write it if you want to!

It doesn't matter if you've never written a fic before, because there is a first time for everything and if it's what you want to do, you absolutely should. I'm sure it would be a wonderful fic to read. I would personally love to read a fic with this plot, even though I'm not usually big on AUs for Lestappen.

i'd like to start off with the fic. goodness. it's beautiful. from the title, i knew it was gonna be a loving, beautiful, absolutely HEART WRENCHING fic. and i was not disappointed in the least. also lando's job is so cool. you perfectly captured their dynamics. in some other universe, they really are friends to fake marrieds to lovers written by nyoomfruits.

charles and max !!!! they r so cute. charles having a crush spanning three years over an interaction that was probably short, because max didn't even remember him😭 also i'm not pressuring u in anyway but we need that galex and lestappen sequel !!!!

i actually spend a LOT of time brainstorming lando's job and he had a lot of different ones until i eventually settled on. well whatever his job is really lmaoo (massive thanks to @roosterhouse for helping me brainstorm that one)

charles met max once, was like 'YOU ARE THE MAN FOR ME' and never let that go and i respect the hussle. probably forced his friends to watch f1 every race weekend (although forced. they're probably all fans. more like forced his friends to listen to him waffle about max for 2 hours) and then actually went and god his man. an icon, truly.

(also my personal headcanon for that original meeting is that charles took so long to work up the courage to talk to max that at that point max was just drunk as SHIT and thats mostly why he doesnt remember lmao)
