Yesterday
Yesterday I went out for breakfast with my mother. The neighbors threw some powder on her hand to involve her in the Phagwah "activities" on the street. She was lucky it wasn't a bucket of water thrown on her because there was a lot of that. It was a happy time on our street (for those who participated in Phagwah).
My mother met an old friend while we were dining. There were both so very happy to see each other and had a good 'gyaff.' My mother wanted to go for a drive after that.
As I write this, I am noticing that I am using 'happy' a lot.  This could be because of yesterday's post. By the way, yesterday's post made me think of my work on the Lessons Project - 7ps, calendar, and so on. That project focused more on achievement and success.

Seeing or Viewpoint
Good morning from Linden, Guyana! I got up early today.
I am remembering one of my favorite posts that showed how your angle determines what you see. I used photographs of a house for sale in the post to highlight what someone would see from different positions - similar to the different angles/views in Technical Drawing. In one position (from the front - one of the front elevation), only two of the three garage doors could be seen. From the side, the house looked very long. Seeing is clearly important.
I believe that was one of my best posts in that project.

Prescription for living
I remember this poem from high school. It highlights some of the issues with people and prescribes how to behave (what to say, the need for silence etc.).
Desiderata
By
Max Ehrmann
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Labels
I found a quote by Steve Maraboli that reminded me of my green folder book in high school. (I mentioned this green folder book in a previous post on my Lessons Project. Link to post: https://fahmeenaodetta.blogspot.com/2022/07/life-lessons.html). I added a quote in the green book on the need for labels to inform others about the character of a person. The quote came from a Readers Digest magazine.

For a long time, the Lessons Project was my hobby, i.e. what I did in my spare time. For some, sewing or croqueting is an enjoyable thing to do in their spare time. These people produce excellent work. Here is a croqueting project I completed while I was a student at Watooka Day School (an old post from my food blog).

Social media set up
#ThrowbackThursday
Remembering my Lessons Project and the set up I had. I used several blogs, feedburner, Twitter, Facebook to broadcast lessons - quotes, commencement speeches, stories of struggles, and other life lessons.
I created the first page in Facebook. It is still linked to my account (it is one of my pages). One of the last changes I made was to add a Blogspot blog to the mix. It was one of several blogs linked to my moorefo1 account. Feedburner recently made some changes. I haven't reviewed those.
Maybe I should have used my name instead of Lessons Project. I like the URLs of my new blogs:
