Reaction time

Despite Nanoya having helped him for this Occasion a lot in the past, Flynn was determined to attempt to wear a kimono on his own. He picked a pretty fancy one in a catalogue but as the bird tried to pull it up he noticed a few problems... his wings and also how he is gonna keep everything up... it annoyed him mildly untill he heard a faint knock at his dress up room.

"Flynn? Are you doing alright?"

"My dear Iolite... don't worry about me, it just might take a tad longer."

"I can always help you, you know?"

He sighed... maybe it was time to give himself defeated.. or play it off... as he told Hoshi to come in he pulled the kimono around him in a more seductive manner.

"I wouldn't mind if you also touch some spots during it... my dearest."

Hoshi sighed and helped him tug it up. "Nice try to distract but for now I want to go to the festival a bit more than indulge you in this."

Flynn gave a firm nod and helped reach his arms in ways Hoshi could clip his sleeves together so his wings still had breathing room... it was harder than anticipated.. but with the sash tied, with the robe put in place and the scarf around him he made quite a gentlemanly figure.... especially with that hat as he bowed down before him.

"Splendid, mom amour. Now I feel ready for it but my... I couldn't even get a good look at you... you look lovely, my dear."

Hoshi noticed the crow trying to playfully nibble at his neck... before slightly pushing him away.

"You know a bite will be seen?"

"I can always give you my scarf <3"

"No thank you... or maybe not yet."

He offered his arm... taking Flynn out to see a new kind of night light for him. He still took a picture to let Nanoya know he finally did wear it before walking off with Hoshi to the festival.

Meanwhile Leroy who had the same intention to go to that festival thought he was better than this... he thought anime and some guides tought him enough how to put a Kimono on but... here he was his sash loosely cause it wouldn't fit well as he looked down in his underwear with a sigh.

"I should have asked Mythra before this."

His sigh was quickly heard by his boyfriend who waited a little impatiently in front of the room.

"Should I come in and help?"

"Please yes... I am going mad about this."

Shu came in... having a light blush looking at Leroy... after all he was only standing there in underwear with the robe loosely over his shoulders... him growing red too... yet Shu approached him with a soft smile to calm him.

"I think your tail struggled more being in the way... I got another one that might be better."

He took another Kimono from the bag on the bed and slid it over Leroys shoulders yet feeling his arms around him again the chameleons tips of his hair grew a bit pink and rosy.

"Didn't know it was that easy to get you emberassed that its that far..."

"S-shut up... I... just can't hide it well."

"Its kinda cute. <3 "

Leroy sighed enduring this till Shu tied the sash and was all done with him...

"This one has another problem though... the sleeves."

"Don't worry, they will not be heaty... they give you enough air."

He looked into the mirror and smirked.

"You were right though... it does suit me.... and my tail has more freedom too."

He pointed at the hole in the back of it... with a genuine smile as Shu put his arms on his shoulders leaning over to give him a small kiss.

"It be fun... lets go for now... I still want to get the opportunity to catch goldfish before they are gone."

"Carefully Leroy... you still need to learn how to walk in it."

And so Leroy almost tripped out the room but at least holding hands with Shu he was soon save to walk with him without much troubles.

It was a troublesome situation... in all Shu and Leroy just had a nice chat in the hallway talking about a show he seen the last days as Leroy however had to leave to get a soda for his dry throat, he returned to see someone chat up Shu pretty confidently... grumbling in annoyance a little... and he noticed him slowy feeling uncomfortable from it. Eventually Leroy turned invisible and tried to hide behind Shu to see what the other person says but as they tried to get flirty he appeared out of knowwhere before their face.

"Excuse me but he already has a boyfriend!"

"A pathetic lizard like you is not fit to be with someone this pretty."

It was like they wanted to egg him on purpose and so things escalated... as they punched and kicked another Shu eventually picked them both up and seperated them... the other student walked away in fear as Leroy sighed and calmed... showing a hint of regret on his face.

"I am sorry... I just... often feel very jealous... someone finally accepted me for who I am and I don't want to lose that person so... that Is why-"

He was cut off by Shu leaning down to kiss him and then start to treat his leg while he still flushed.

"Its cute and it honors me but.... you should know I won't let you go, Lee."

"But you still have to make up for the mess... how about once I treat you, we go to your room and enjoy a nice show together.... and stay close."

"I would love that. But.."

He leaned forward to whisper in his ear.

It was just supposed to be a nice date going out to get some food yet, given it was night time and Leroy stirred up a lot of problems for his father already, he had a well thought on how to pay his son back for the mayhem he caused... Shu and Leroy were just about to get some Taiyaki as a treat yet Shu was a little more warry that both of them were followed... admits the crowd as they both ate some of it, suddenly Leroy felt Shu push him a little to the side, spilling a little bit of the ice cream that was in his taiyaki waffle, yet he didn't have time to complain as he saw that Shu got hit by the other person who tried to stumble them in the crowd... having a bit of a knife wound on his side... Leroy wanted to go after the culprit yet they quickly vanished into the crowd as he pulled Shu to the side.

Eventually everything was fixed up except the shirt that still had some blood stains on it... Leroy looked down in guilt as Shu put his hand on his chin and smiled.

"Its fine Uparupa... I would always do this again for you."

"This is what worried me... I don't want to drag other people in my problems."

Shu pulled him closer for a kiss to shut him up as a tear went down his face before pulling back.

Around the night Leroy was so done with Henrys work and groaned loudly into his pillow in annoyance... however what surprised him that he got a knock at his door... it couldn't be Mellow cause he would be too busy with sketching, yet opening the door he was greeted by Shu smiling at him.

"Sure... I don't mind, come in."

At this state Leroy did still have the room in his hidden state where most of his anime merch and Manga are hidden in the walls... something Shu didn't know despite knowing Leroy liked this kinda stuff. However he soon spotted that one button on the side of the shelf and curiousity made him press it before Leroy stopped him, revealing how elaborate his room is to hide it. "T-this is my secret okay, don't tell anyone about this button."

"You are already so red? There is no need to be asham-"

As he said that he saw one of the more big boobed figures behind the glass shelf.

Leroy sighed as he went out with Carol, Lyla and Shu from their usual tours... as he walked another direction however he noticed Shu was still following behind him.

"Don't you need to get back to your dorm?"

"After the last times you got in danger when I left your side. No thank you. I either accompany you back to your dorm or you stay with mine, Upaparupa... Um I mean Lee."

Leroy sighed and looked to him.

"You can trust me at least a little bit but... I wouldn't mind taking this as an opportunity.. aight I come with you to your dorm for now. But I will prove to you I won't get in danger alone again. "

They both walked to Shus dorm and ad they arrived at his room Leroy sighed... looking at his phone before turning it off.

Shu looked at him with eyes that showed concern.

"Would it calm you if I told you the whole story of what actually happened?"

"A little bit."

"I confronted my father... told him if he isn't there for me he could at least lend some money to help my mother with medicine. Even if he is a filthy Yakuza, it's the least he can do. I know he would refuse so I stole something from him. Hence they hunted me... I thought my invisibility could avoid them but they hit me wrong with a bullet."

He pointed to the bandages as he pulled of his shirt.

"I got a message from my old man... one last to nor get involved with him... after that I blocked his number... and since then... none of his men followed me. Sure that doesn't mean I am fully safe... but it's to assume they leave me be for now."

"You still hate him right?"

He slammed a fist on his bed.

"Of course I do.... if I could I would support Kayne to take him out myself but... I know that wouldn't help my mother.... Keaton can't provide for her alone as my brother."

Shu sat down next to him and took his hand.

As Flynn discussed with Nanoya about the show Hoshi overheard what they said and on instinct picked up Flynn without a warning and carried him to his room.

"Urgh I can't believe that thick shelled annoyance... Henry can't expect us to do that much in one week."

Despite the easter festivities Leroy couldn't really enjoy his breaks cause of the current work in his dorm. Yet Shu tried to cheer him up by suggesting a chocolate Fondue together. Lyla and Carol were also supposed to come but Lyla seemed to have troubles and visited her brother while Carol was busy with students. And so they both sat down in Leroys room, Shu hearing all of his complaining and annoyance.

"Onnazuichi , you been talking for hours about this, have you asked the other dorm members about this?"

"I did but... they say its not as bad... don't they get its just him working us to the bone again."

"Then say how worse was it before your overblot?"

Silence... Leroy took off the glasses he wore and sighed.

"Fine I guess you are right... it has been better since then."

A bit pouty he took a strawberry and dunked it in the chocolate... it kinda looked cute to Shu when he gets this pouty but teasing it would make his mood worse.

"True.... and I am glad my mother is healthy enough to visit easter... I guess you are right, I was complaining for nothing... I just still... feel inferior."

"Its all good. I am glad you did... but why here?"

"Its rare I get to use this tea set and... I have come to announce something."

He settled his cake down and posed dramatically.

"I was hired to play the actual phantom in the ongoing Phantom of the Opera adaptation that does a tour."

Saying this Flynn walked up to him and placed his hands on his cheeks.

On a hard day Lyla and Leroy had it hard to convince Carol out of a building given she hated the heat quite a lot.. however on that day they made their way, asking Shu per text to try to get some ice cream instead... yet as they arrived at the gates, Leroy has miscalculated the time and the Ice cream truck started to drive off.

"W-wait wait... damnit... its gone."

"Maybe not for long."

Lyla smirked, sending out one invention of hers out of her glove... a chasing tracking device... that could follow the route of the truck...

"If we take this route we could still make it."

Carol sighed a little as Shu patted her back.

"Don't worry, I trust them both, we can make it."

"Its just... I wish it would have worked right away, I am busy with correcting so..."

Leroy walked up to her. "I will get you some cool pads later, for now we should move."

The group followed Lylas quickest way to catch the ice cream track and somehow it worked for them catching up with it. Each of them got different flavours... they sat down under a Shadow of a tree eating it an chatting, as Carol noticed something about Leroy and whispered a small thing into Shus ear.... prompting him... Leroy noticed their mumbling and wanted to ask but before he could, Shu placed a small kiss on his lips turning him red like a tomato.

"W-wha-"

"You had some ice cream on your cheek."

Carol behind him was giggling while Lyla just gave her a high five.

"Glad you three are having your fun over my emberassment."

The chameleon got into trouble... it was actually just supposed to be another day where the sushi squad was meeting up to get some food... however some of his personal troubles with his fathers goons got him into trouble.... it was personal so of course he took priority yet... he stopped himself as he noticed Shu found him. Mainly cause he didn’t want to get him involved...

“Quiet and hide... we need to leave... or moreso you need to leave.”

Leroy was about to get up to fight them again but Shu dragged his arm back.

“Uparupa... I won’t go untill you tell me what is going on and why they chase you...”

Leroy sighed in frustration... and dragged him away in safety.

“My father is.... bad news... and some of his men often bother me... given I messed up his business once...”

“Yakuza....”

As Shu heard that he gulped...

And so the boys ran for now... the men lost their track and both could warn Carol and Lyla to leave back to school for now... at least they could order Sushi via delivery too but.... since then... Shu understood leroy a little more.

After being rescued last time from the trouble he got in, Leroy came back scratched, bruised and a little sick with a cold cause of all the running.

But what was worse to him and emberassed him to the point of redness right now... was that he confessed his feelings to Shu over that text message and doesn't know how to handle the situation now.

He saw him walk in with a smile and look over his wounds.

"Guess you still sneeze a lot..."

"Its at least better than my throat... it hurts."

Getting him distracted Leroy pulled himself warm into his blanket, looking almost like a life Size Sushi roll hidding the redness in his face.

"God what am I doing... why did I have to mention it?"

He noticed a nice and warm smell getting close, sitting up to look at the soup... smiling at Shu to show his gratitude...

"Thanks for taking care of me... I appreciate it."

"I wish you wouldn't have gotten into trouble before, Uparupa... but I am glad to see you well... oh I forgot something. "

As Leroy was about to pick up the spoon he was caught on guard feeling a warmth on his forehead just to see Shu kissing it.... his face and the tips of his hair and tail growing majorly red.

"W-what?"

"You said you loved me right? I wanted to give you some of that love back... guess that makes us official."

"So you..."

"I love you too."

And with this Leroy couldn't calm down anymore, the spoon in his hand shook nervous and it was like his whole body went red... Shu noticed be needed to calm down and left the room with a smile.

He rubbed his head... everything unclear untill he saw a familiar face.... Hoshi looked at him slowly opening his eyes to notice a bandage around his head.

"Hey, you kinda passed out on me. Are you alright?"

"Of course my dear Iolite but I can't recall passing out..."

"Oh then..nevermind... anyways after you did you hit your head against the end of your bed frame and so I tried to treat you as best as I could."

"That explains the bandage... guess someone else has to carry the show if I have to wear this the whole time till it recovered... unfortunate. "

"Flynn... I will do my best to get some people to heal it.. maybe you can-"

The plan was originally for the group as friends to go inside the amusement parc but Carol got busy with sudden emergency lessons with students while Lyla helped Francine with some siblings trouble... to add to that Leroy and Shu could profit from a thing despite that. Couples discounts was something that was offered that day so they were both lucky. As well as it was easier to find rides to do together... Shu found it adorable how excited Leroy was about so many things by default... who can blame as kid he barely had money or time to go to such places even if he admired them.

Shu left a smile seeing him be in awe about so many things... and the more slower rides he sat next to him and layed an arm around his chameleon boyfriend.

"Maybe it wasn't that bad the girls are not with us, at least we can use it as a date."

"If its a date then how come you didn't give me a kiss yet."

Leroy grew red and pouted a little.

"I was too distracted by everything... "

Shu chuckled a little and pulled his face, getting the chameleon to be even more red.

Resting at the lockers for their stuff Shu leaned over Leroy as he put all the stuff in.

"How about we get some slushies next? Different Flavours so we can mix them?"

Leroy was annoyed of it... why did all the big anime conventions had to be in Summer. He hated the heat, the season and in general how sensitive he was against it.. and so he mopped around in his room eating ice cream to at least somehow fight the weather.... till he heard a faint knock and found Shu standing there with a small box.

"At least someone didn't forget me... its good to see you."

"Why would you say that?"

Leroy let him in and sighed.

"Greg is on a summer tour, Flynn is busy with roles, Carol went on with her boyfriend and Lyla is curled up in her lab all day. "

Shu sad next to him and took out some movies, some snacks and cold sodas that made Leroys eyes shine in happiness.

As Leroy wanted to grab the bottle however he was caught of guard by Shu leaning closer and putting his hand to his face, getting him to blush.

Leroy was bored in his room, the heat always limited him cause he barely could get out... yet at least on that day his friends promised to stop by.

Carol and Lyla carried a big basket full of fruits while Shu carried some crushed ice over his shoulder... and so the 4 began to make some smoothies together while Shu tended a bit to Leroys heat problem with some ice cubes.

"No way that is true."

"You know I can listen to thoughts, right. He did think that about you."

Lyla and Carol chatted as Shu was curious.

"What are you two chatting about?"

"Carol doesn't want to believe me that I heard Henry think about her being attractive. "

"I don't get it. Usually In middle school I was avoided and now one highly influential man is interested in me..sounds unbelievable. "

"He wasn't the only one... I am sure of that."

Carol grew red seeing the other two laughing given the both knew more than her untill she looked to Leroy.

"I am glad he can't hear us now although it's sad the heat is that bad to him."

Shu sighed and finished preparing the smoothie in his hand.

"I am sure this will get his energy back and if not I stay longer to take care of him."

Lyla chuckled. "You Two also are very sweet with the thoughts for another... its cute to watch."

"R-really..."

Carol nodded. "Even without Lylas power it's obvious how much you two care for another... and I am sure Leroy appreciates it a ton."

With a nod Shu walked back to his boyfriend and helped him to lean against his shoulder and drink some of the smoothie.

"Its... like heaven.. drinking this... had the sun claimed me."

"Now you are getting as dramatic as the crow."

"Sorry it's just... it feels so much better."

Soon Lyla and Carol sat next to them, all four having a smoothie ready and turning on the TV.

"So what do we want to watch?" Carol asked.

Meanwhile they noticed Leroy snuggled against Shus arm taking a small nap as Lyla spoke up.

"I guess let's watch a comedy till he is awake again... he needs the rest."
