I got a request.......... Rapunzel and Eugene give Varian a tickle attack when he was feeling down

Today had not been Varian’s best day. He’d ruined his blueprint for upgrades for his hot water system, spilled chemicals all over his ham sandwich, and just now he slipped and fell on the freshly waxed floor, much to Old Lady Crowley’s annoyance.

“You ignorant child! Can’t you see I just waxed there?! Hmmph, they should have left you to rot in prison, boy.”

That last comment was the last straw. Varian stood up, mumbled an apology, and walked off before the old crone saw his tears.

He kept his head down and walked straight into Rapunzel and Eugene, who steadied him with his hands on his shoulders.

“Woah, Hairstripe, what’s the rush?”

The captain of the guards asked, noting Varian’s downcast look and sharing a worried look with his wife.

“N-no where. Excuse me.”

Varian mumbled, trying to dodge around the rulers of Corona.

Rapunzel stopped him with a gentle hand on his arm.

“Varian are you okay? You seem down.”

The Queen said, his emerald eyes filled with concern for her friend.

Varian plastered on a forced smile.

“I-I’m fine, Rapunzel, really! Just…. Just a rough day, y’know.”

His forced smile faltered and he rubbed his arm self consciously.

Rapunzel and Eugene shared a look. They knew exactly how to cheer their friend up.

“Well Goggles, it just so happens that Rapunzel and I have the perfect way to cheer you up!”

Eugene said, scooping Varian up under his arms from behind. Varian screeched in surprise, flailing around.

“Wha- Hey! Put me down, Eugene!”

“No can do, kid. Not until Rapunzel and I see you smiling again.”

Rapunzel grinned and walked over to Varian, who was still held in the air by Eugene. She wiggled her fingers in front of the boy playfully.

“Operation cheer up Varian is a-go!” She trilled, wiggling her fingers against Varian’s sides, eliciting a sharp squeal of laughter.

“WHAHAHAHA- RAHPUHUNZEHEL! NOHOHOHO!”

Varian writhed in Eugene’s grip, but he only succeeded in causing his shirt to ride up and expose his bare stomach, which Rapunzel instantly pounced on.

Adding to the playful torment, Eugene pressed his face against the side of Varian’s neck and blew raspberries, his scruffy goatee intensifying the sensation tenfold.

“AHAHAHAHAHA! LET ME GOHOHOHOHOO! PLEAHEHEHEASE!”

Varian begged, squirming in vain to escape the tickles.

“Nope! Laughter is the best medicine and as your queen and best friend, Eugene and I recommend a high dose!”

Rapunzel teased, pressing a finger inside Varian’s belly button and swirling it around, sending the poor alchemist into fits of belly laughter.

Between the tummy tickles from Rapunzel and the neck raspberries from Eugene, Varian was in absolute stitches. He kicked and flailed, but Eugene’s grip didn’t budge.

“OKAHAHAHAY! OKAHAHAHAY! I’M NOHOHOT SAHAD ANYMORE! PLEAHEAHEHEASE! STOHOHOHOP!”

“Hmmmm….. I don’t know, Eugene. Do you think he’s had enough?”

“Well, Sunshine, he can’t stop giggling, so perhaps just one more dose of tickles will suffice.”

Eugene and Rapunzel shared a teasing look before they launched a final tickle attack on poor Varian.

Eugene blew more raspberries onto Varian’s neck, while Rapunzel blew raspberries onto his tummy and dug her fingers into his sides and ribs.

Varian let out one final peal of shrieking laughter before descending into silent hiccups and wheezes.

Only then did Eugene release Varian from his hold and Rapunzel tugged his shirt back down, smoothing out the wrinkles in a sisterly fashion.

Varian was a breathless, giggling mess.

“Thahahanks guys.”

He wheezes out, sliding to the floor.

Rapunzel and Eugene smiled and wrapped the boy in a group hug.

It wasn’t long before the three of them were fast asleep in an impromptu cuddle pile, the smile never leaving Varian’s face.

Disney Tickles: Are You Ticklish?

Summary: Rapunzel discovers that Eugene is ticklish and uses it against him.

Rapunzel and Eugene were just sitting in Rapunzel's room together. Now that Rapunzel's hair has grown back, she's been thinking of what to do with it. Just then an idea struck her. Sure it was childish, but Rapunzel was curious. She reached over and poked Eugene's side, making him jump a little. Rapunzel giggled to herself about his reaction.

"What was that cute reaction?" Rapunzel joked, smiling. Eugene was at a loss for words.

"Uh... I dunno..." he said, blushing. "Nothing..."

"Didn't sound like nothing!" Rapunzel said, tying his wrists together behind his back and his ankles together with her hair.

"Rapunzel, what is the meaning of this?" Eugene asked, now immobile.

"Tell me, Eugene," Rapunzel said, grabbing a lock of hair. "Are you ticklish?"

Eugene knew he was in trouble now. He was ticklish, but he doesn't like to be tickled. So he tried to lie.

"What? Me? Ticklish? Of course not!" Eugene said, trying not to act nervous, even though he was. Rapunzel didn't buy it, so she took her lock of hair and stroked it across his nape, making him giggle.

"Not ticklish, huh? Then why are you laughing?" Rapunzel said, positioning her fingers at his sides. She started off lightly tickling him.

"R- Rapuhuhuhuhunzel!" Eugene said through his giggles. Rapunzel smirked.

"Yes, Eugene?" she replied, scribbling her fingers on his sides.

"That really tickles!" Eugene said, trying to get away, but Rapunzel's hair was too strong.

"Hehe. How about I do this?" Rapunzel said, lifting his shirt and using a lock of hair to torment his stomach, making him burst into laughter.

"STAHAHAHAHAHAP IHIHIHIHIT!" Eugene said as he burst into laughter as his stomach was shown no mercy by Rapunzel's hair. Rapunzel just giggled at Eugene's reaction.

"So you are ticklish!" she said as she tickled more. She continued to stroke her hair across his stomach.

"RAPUHUHUHUHUNZEHEHEHEHEL! STAHAHAHAHAHAP TICKLING MEHEHEHE! I'M TOHOHOHOHO TICKLISH THEHEHEHEHEHERE!" Eugene said through his laughter as his stomach was tortured.

"Ooh, I found your weak spot, hmm?" Rapunzel said, continuing to tickle him.

"MAHAHAHAHAHAKE IHIHIHIHIT STAHAHAHAHAHAP! I'M TOHOHOHOHO TICKLISH FOHOHOHOHOR THIHIHIHIS!" Eugene pleaded through his laughter as his stomach was shown no mercy. Rapunzel then used her fingers to tickle his stomach.

"Hehehe! This is fun!" Rapunzel said, tickling him more. Eugene was a giggling mess.

"STAHAHAHAHAHAP IHIHIHIHIT! I CAHAHAHAHAN'T!" Eugene found it very difficult to get any words out without being dissolved by laughter.

After twenty minutes of nonstop tickling, feeling like hours for Eugene, Rapunzel stopped tickling him and let him go. Once he was untied, he wrapped his arms around his midsection.

"Did you have fun?" Rapunzel said, smiling.

"I'm so ticklish!" Eugene said, not letting go of his midsection.

Tyler is an interesting villain imo (especially the way he is written in the book) and I hate how much w*lers reduce and downplay that because all they care about is that "romance"

Yes, thank you for saying that, I love to rant about this sort of characterization stuff. You are so right, too. As a stand-alone character, Tyler has the potential to be a wonderfully complex villain. There are many factors to take into account about him, not just his trickery of Wednesday or whatever romance they want to assign to that. I mean, Laurel clearly grooms him, who knows how sexual that actually was. It gave me such chills in the flashbacks every time she would stroke his neck and arm.

And then there's the nuance of how much agency he actually has through their master/Hyde bond. How much is really him? How much is the Hyde? How much of regular Tyler is a psychopath is what I want to know, he says he grew to enjoy it, but how much is the Hydes mind influencing him? Is his Hyde like a werewolf? How much is Gates actually influencing his mind and decisions? Did he take on some of her personality and hated of outcasts? Or was he already like that before when he and the pilgrim squad assaulted Xavier. I'm fascinated to find out next season.

The way Hunter plays the switch between the persona Tyler puts on and the real Tyler is the real Jekyll and Hyde, and it's just amazing. He does such a good job the way you can actually see the shift. I too loved in the novel the way they expanded on it, I had been going crazy from the first watch through on how I missed what kind of artist Tyler was since they said Hydes were artistic types and then boom the book said it "In that moment I forgive myself for being fooled. I remember Faulkner's words in his journal: the Hyde is an artist by nature."

Tyler is an actor, and in my opinion, his greatest performance was the scene in the police station when he reveals to Wednesday that she was right. The way he easily slips back into the mask that he puts on to fool everyone. He is so good at making himself look like he is the victim of Wednesday's crazy paranoia, not that he's the actual monster.

Yeah, I know what you mean about some of the w*lers, I don't think they really understand his or Wednesday's character that well. She is absolutely revolted by him now, not only because he tricked her but because he hurt Eugene, not to mention the murders as well, and I just really don't think they see that.

Like Wednesday talks a big game, but she tells Thing in episode 2 her worst fear is that she'll be responsible for something terrible. She compared herself to Ivan the Terrible, saying she wanted to be good terrible like him, I'm assuming this philosophy is why she protected pugsley by putting piranha in the pool. Ivan, the Terribles' name was in its original translation meant inspiring of awe or fear, like what Wednesday did with the piranhas. Which does not fit with Tyler's apparent urge to kill, Wednesday is and has been violent to protect her family and friends from people who want to hurt them, and it seems like Tyler has been increasingly more violent because he's begun to enjoy it.

Then there's some of the w*lers who get mad when I say that he clearly doesn't actually have feelings for Wednesday. In the show, he just called her a cockroach, but in the book, it expanded more to say how he wanted to kill Wednesday from the start, but Gates wouldn't let him. Like this is not the enemies to lovers they seem to think it is.

I love Thing in Wednesday and all but him writing and sending that letter to T*ler was a pure betrayal of Wednesday’s trust and forced her into a position that she did not want to be in and it ultimately contributed to T*ler’s manipulation of her. At the end of the day, Thing betrayed Wednesday and he got Eugene attacked.

Despite whatever intentions he had, Thing fucked up bad there.

Hello! I saw your lee!varian post and wanted to let you know that I too am a Varian fan who is starved for tk content of him. So I'm gonna just share a few headcanon of mine if that's alright.

(Doing this on anon because I'm shy lol)

~His tummy is a bad spot, although he is really just a walking tk spot. Pokes and squeezes to the tummy have him in hysterics in less than 5 seconds.

~We know from canon what his laugh sounds like, but I like to think he snorts if you get him good enough.

~He tends to he shy about asking for tks around multiple people, but if he is with someone he trusts enough hebcan gather his courage and ask.

~His main lers are Rapunzel and Eugene, but his dad has wrecked him a handful of times as well.

That's pretty much all over got at the moment, but I thought you might enjoy these! If you have any headcanons for th best alchemist you'd like to share, I'd love to hear them! (Unless you are no longer into lee!varian.)

A specific little headcanon for me personally is that really soon after V gets reformed in season 3, Rapunzel still feels a little anxious around him, just feeling a little awkward about all the bad blood between them in the past, and possibly worrying that he might not be the same varian she used to know. UNTIL she hears his scream echo down the castle hallways, and she's running toward the sound, scared that he's in trouble, when she throws open the door to Eugene's room to find Varian shrieking and giggling and being tickled brainless by her boyfriend. V's laughing bright and carefree and happy, until he catches sight of Rapunzel in the doorway and yelps with a smile "RAHAHAPUNZEHEL HEHELP!!" Oh yeah, that's the sweet little boy she knew

New relationship superbat growing together, the addition of Diana into the romantic mix, and Dick and Jason getting up to shenanigans regarding Bruce's awkwardness around his pretty partner (s).

Star Trek - The crew adopts a tickly creature and chaos ensues (possibly with some background tickly planet things, as a place where it's common and accepted)!

Wicked - I got two for Wicked!! The first one is Glinda and Elphaba sharing secrets and Glinda admits that she's very ticklish, with some bonus never-been-tickled Elphaba! The other one references a very specific portrayal of Glinda that's adorable and I don't wanna say too much about...but it'll be a continuation/spin-off of my last fic Strange Exhilaration!

Tickletober Day 12- Mischief

This was requested awhile ago by @blahhhhhhhohmigosh. Hope you enjoy!

You snickered to yourself as you doodled a goofy mustache on Eugene’s face with black ink. It was the finishing touch to your masterpiece of a prank. You had already stolen Varian’s goggles, rearranged Eugene’s countless hair and skin products, and turned Ruddiger green.

You were quite pleased with yourself and your mischief making.

You gasped as Eugene snorted awake, his eyes flying open.

You fumbled your drop the pen, but you only made things worse for yourself so you did the reasonable thing and bolted from the scene.

Eugene walked to his mirror to freshen up and screamed in horror.

“Y\N! You’re dead, kid!”

You laughed and continued running, not noticing Varian coming down the hall until you smacked into him.

“Aha! I knew it was you! Give me my goggles!”

Panicking, you blurted out in a very calm, not suspicious way,

“What goggles?”

Varian squinted at you, unamused by your attempt to play dumb.

“The ones on your head.”

“Oh those goggles! Nah, I think I’ll keep ‘em.”

You went to skip away, but Varian grabbed your arm and pulled you back.

“Give them back and give Ruddiger a bath, Y/N. Or else.”

You stuck out your tongue.

“Or else what, nerd.”

Varian was about to respond when Eugene stormed around the corner, his doodled face contorted in frustration.

“Oh, good! You got them Hairstripe.”

“Yeah. Let me guess. They did that to you?”

Eugene glared at you and you pulled a face at him.

“Yes, they did. As well as completely disorganizing my vanity! How am I supposed to wash this off if I don’t know where little Picasso here put the right cleanser!”

Varian snorted and disguised it as a cough.

“So what are we going to do with the little twerp?”

You gulped and tried to make a run for it, but Eugene grabbed you and held you up by the armpits.

“I know just the thing to teach our little friend here a lesson.”

The ex conman said, grinning at Varian before saying,

“They happen to be very ticklish.”

Varian’s eyes lit up and he grinned, atlash of his old villain days returning for a split second as he watched you thrash in Eugene’s grasp.

“Perfect.”

All hell broke loose as both sides of your stomach were ruthlessly tickled.

You screamed and thrashed, laughing hysterically and begging for mercy.

“So, you gonna apologize?”

Eugene’s asked from behind you.

“N-Never!”

Varian’s eyebrows shot up in amusement and surprise at your gall.

“No? Are you sure?”

Fingers dug in everywhere and anywhere they could find, leaving you hysterical and gasping for breath by the time you blurted,

“Nohohohoho! I’m sohohohorry! I’m sorry! I’ll do anything just stahahahahap!”

As soon as they started, the tickles stopped and you were set back on your feet.

“That’s good. No you are going to reorganize my vanity.”

Eugene said.

“And give me my goggles,”

You huffed and handed Varian his goggles.

“And give Ruddiger a bath.”

You were about to object, but Varian poked your side and threatened,

“Or we can just tickle you some more.”

“Okay, okay I’ll give the stupid trash panda a bath and help organize Eugene’s vanity!”

Both boys seemed pleased with the answer, but a few hours later when all was said and done Eugene screamed again when he realized you had swapped his shampoo with hair dye.

Homo sapiens’in iki eski akrabası olan Homo erectus ve Paranthropus boisei’nin yolları 1,5 milyon yıl önce kesişmiş olabilir mi?

Önce özetini Nature.com’da (1) okuduğum, 28 Kasım 2024’te ünlü bilim dergisi Science’ta yayınlanan (2) “Footprint evidence for locomotor diversity and shared habitats among early Pleistocene hominins” (Erken Pleyistosen homininleri arasında lokomotor çeşitliliği ve ortak yaşam alanlarına dair ayak izi kanıtı) başlıklı makalenin bulguları ilgimi çok çekti. Ana bulguları kısaca yorumlayarak burada özetlemek istiyorum.

Homo erectus ve Paranthropus boisei‘nin dikkat çekici derecede korunmuş ayak izleri, soyu tükenmiş insansı (hominin) türlerinin bir zamanlar bir arada var olduğuna dair doğrudan kanıt sunuyor.

Önce çok kısaca bu iki insansıyı tanıtmak istiyorum. Paranthropus cinsi üç tür içeriyor: Paranthropus boisei, Paranthropus robustus ve Paranthropus aethiopicus. Son derece büyük çeneleri ve azı dişleri nedeniyle topluca “sağlamlar” olarak bilinirler. Onları bizim doğrudan akrabalarımız olmaktan çok, uzak “kuzenlerimiz” olarak nitelendirmek daha doğru olur. Paranthropus aethiopicus, 2.3 ila 2.7 milyon yıl önce yaşadı. Paranthropus boisei ve Paranthropus robustus ise 1.0 ila 2.3 milyon yıl önce yaşadılar (3).

Kendine özgü kafatası şekli ve geniş kaş çıkıntılarıyla kısa ve tıknaz bir insan türü olan Homo erectus‘un fosilleri çoğunlukla Çin ve Endonezya’da bulunmuştur. Asyalı fosillerle Afrika’daki fosillerin birlikte Homo erectus olarak mı sınıflandırılması gerektiği, yoksa Afrika örneklerinin Homo ergaster olarak adlandırılacak kadar farklı mı olduğu konusunda çok sayıda tartışma vardır. Homo erectus, Pleyistosen’de 100.000 ila 1.6 milyon yıl önce yaşamış olsa da bazı öngörüler bu süreyi 35.000 ila 1.8 milyon yıl öncesine kadar uzatıyor. Hollandalı Eugene Dubois, Endonezya’da yıllarca kayıp halkayı aradıktan sonra nihayet 1891’de (Java Adamı olarak bilinen) bir kafatasının parçasını ortaya çıkardı. Bu fosilin eski ve “dik” bir insana ait olduğuna inanıyordu ve bu nedenle türe “erectus” adını verdi. Diğer bilim insanları bu yorumu reddettiler ve fosilin maymun benzeri niteliklerini vurgulamayı tercih ettiler. Dubois’in görüşü, 1920’ler ve 1930’larda Çin’de bir dizi benzer fosilin ortaya çıkarılmasıyla doğrulandı (4).

Yaklaşık 1.5 milyon yıl önce iki antik türün yolları Kenya’da bir göl kıyısında kesişti. Çamurdaki ayak izleri zamanla kurumuş ve 2021 yılına kadar keşfedilmeden kalmıştı. Bu ayak izlerinin ya da kalıplarının analizi, bunların modern insanın atası olan Homo erectus‘a ve daha uzak akrabası Paranthropus boisei‘ye ait olduğunu ortaya koyuyor. İki birey, göl kenarındaki killi kumlu ıslak -belki de bataklık kenarı- kumsaldan saatler ya da günler arayla geçerek aynı yerde bir arada var olan farklı iki arkaik hominin türünün ilk doğrudan kaydını bırakmıştı. 28 Kasım’da Science dergisinde yayınlanan makalenin baş yazarı Kevin Hatala’ya göre, “Bu, aynı yakın çevrede yaşayan, potansiyel olarak birbirleriyle etkileşime giren iki türün elimizdeki ilk anlık görüntüsü.”

Kalıplar, ayak kemerlerinin yüksekliği, ayak parmaklarının şekli ve yürüyüş biçimleri dahil olmak üzere bireyler hakkındaki ayrıntıları korumuştu. Bu fosilleşmiş ayak izleri gerçekten de zamanın anlık bir görüntüsü ve bizi 1.5 milyon yıl önce Doğu Afrika’daki bir göl kıyısına götüren bir zaman makinesi gibi.

1.5 milyon yıla tarihlenen ‘Bir Yürüyüş Yolunda’ iki farklı insansı türün yolları birbiriyle nasıl kesişmiş olabilir?

Çoğunlukla fosil kayıtlarına dayanan önceki çalışmalar, farklı hominin türlerinin yan yana yaşadığını öne sürüyordu. Ancak fosiller genellikle geniş alanlara dağılmış ve tahmini tarihleri binlerce yılı kapsamıştı.

Temmuz 2021’de araştırmacılar, Kenya’nın Doğu Turkana Bölgesi’ndeki Koobi Fora çevresinde, bir hominin bireyinin bıraktığı sürekli bir iz yolu ve en az üç diğerinin bıraktığı izole izler de dahil olmak üzere çok sayıda antik ayak izi keşfettiler. Ayak izlerinin bulunduğu ve bugüne dek korunmuş olan yüzey, 1.52 milyon yıl öncesine tarihleniyor. Dalgalı kum, sazlık ve balık yuvalarının izleri, alanın jeomorfolojik olarak sığ sulu bir göl kıyısının kumsalı olduğunu gösteriyor.

Araştırmacılar, üç boyutlu ışın görüntüleme (3D X-ışını tabanlı) tekniklerini kullanarak ayak hareketinin bıraktığı izleri nasıl şekillendirdiğini incelediler. Ayak izlerindeki kemer derinliğini ve ayak parmağı açılarını Homo sapiens’inkilerle karşılaştırdılar. Analizler, korunmuş ayak izlerinin modern insanlar gibi dik yürüyen ve koşan ilk insan türü olduğu düşünülen Homo erectus’un bireylerine ait olduğunu öne sürüyor.

Araştırmacılar, bulunan sürekli izi Paranthropus boisei türünden, dik yürüyormuş gibi görünen bir bireye bağladılar. Bu türün ayakları daha düzdü ve ayak başparmağının konumu adım adım değişiyordu. Ayak başparmağı, yaklaşık 10 dereceye kadar dışarı doğru uzanan insan ayak başparmaklarıyla karşılaştırıldığında daha geniş bir hareket aralığına sahipti: sağ ayakta 19 dereceye, sol ayakta ise yaklaşık 16 dereceye kadar dışarı doğru açı yapabiliyordu.

H. erectus ve P. boisei’nin ayak izleri birbirine metrelerce yakındı. Bu yakınlık, bu iki insansı türün yaşadıkları ortamda ya da çeşitli habitatlarda birbirlerinin varlığından haberdar olduklarının varsayılmasına temel oluşturabilir. Tam olarak nasıl etkileşim kurdukları ya da birbirlerinden bir şeyler öğrenip öğrenmedikleri ise hâlâ bir gizem.

Bulunan hayvan izleri neyin göstergesiydi?

Alanda hominin ayak izlerinin yanı sıra, birbiriyle akrabalıkları belirlenen 30 sığır, üç ata benzer hayvan ve soyu tükenmiş dev leylek (Leptoptilos falconeri) de dahil olmak üzere 61 kuşa ait korunmuş izler bulunuyordu.

Hatala, “İnsan evriminin bu aşamasında bu bölgede olup bitenlerin gerçekten yüksek çözünürlüklü bir resmini vermek” için fosil ayak izleri ve kemik fosillerinden elde edilen verileri birleştirmeyi umuyor. Korunmuş ayak izlerinin bulunduğu ortamdaki eski biyolojik çeşitliliği, coğrafi ve ekolojik ilişkileri daha iyi anlayabilmek için gelecekteki çalışmaların hayvan ve kuş iz ve fosillerine odaklanabileceği bekleniyor.
