i really just think cobra kai would be a more interesting show if eli and demetri got together at the last all-valley tournament

like up the tension of them becoming friends again in s4 and navigating that their feelings are actually MORE than friendship

like hawk going to miyagi do to fight after his head is shaved for demetri would be so much sweeter if it was also charged with eli's feelings for demetri

imagine it's demetri who kisses Eli to get him his confidence back right before his fight

the entirety of season 5 is charged with "established relationship" vibes from the two of them

and them both helping miguel with his love life would still make sense but suddenly their reference for relationship advice is each other (and they're entirely dysfunctional so it makes sense why their advice ends up sucking)

season 6 divorce arc would be even more painful with demetri thinking that eli not applying to MIT means he's dumping him....

...and eli being like "no dipshit i want to explore other options" "oh other OPTIONS? like date other PEOPLE?" "demetri no-"

and like just add another relationship crisis to the list with the sekai taikai that's pretty much what had everyone else off their game.....

and then the locker room apology would've obviously ended in a kiss

after s4 the writers of cobra kai really abandoned all their “side” characters and whilst i always grieve the wrongdoings they committed to demetri alexopoulos, eli moskowitz had the biggest fall from grace ever he went from invincible to incapable in like one season and i’ll never forgive them for that

he was taken advantage of. it was SA and it’s such a weird fucking thing for the show to bring to light when they’ve proven they cannot handle topics like that. what kind of message is it to send that a young boy gets drunk and abandoned by his “friends”, gets taken advantage of, and then it’s his fault? they never ever give robby keene a break but this is next level.

the dubcon between robby/zara quite actually ruined the show for me. what the fuck was that. robby got drunk to the point he couldn't even form coherent sentences in that one-sided conversation with kwon. then it's implied zara went over to talk to him. then it cuts to him leaving zara's hotel room, clearly still hungover and confused, saying he "can't remember anything".

i do not for one second believe the sam/tory captain fight and tory losing her mother is the DAY before they replace her with demetri and go to the sekai taikai. i fully believe part two is going to show us the in between — a scene where robby tries to talk to tory, where daniel and/or johnny make an effort to reconcile with her, things like that. tory is absolutely not going to up and leave the next day and abandon her little brother who she loves more than anyone, and daniel and johnny and robby objectively do not care so little as to just entirely abandon her

we don’t talk enough about the line from robby “i can’t be my own worst enemy, but you can be.” sixteen year old robby keene, fending for himself with an addict mother and a deadbeat father he’s spent his whole life grieving for, scamming to survive, finally finding something he loves only to be unnecessarily hated and targeted by miguel and hawk, losing his found family because he’s “too much like his dad”, having the first person who really sees him cheat on him, taking all the repercussions for a fight he got involved in to protect her, carrying all that guilt for nearly taking someone’s life and HE’S HIS OWN WORST ENEMY??? FUCK OFF LEAVE MY BOY ALONE

Smth smth about Robby growing up watching his mom getting high and drunk out of her mind and bring home skeevy guys to sleep with. Of seeing Sam drunk and kiss Miguel and getting so angry because he thought Miguel took advantage of her. Of him being sad and discouraged and so completely alone and getting drunk for the first time in his life. Of him being so wasted he couldn’t even string a sentence together—couldn’t even utter a single word—in response to Kwon. Of Zara eyeing all this happen. Of him waking up the next day, stumbling out of a hotel room that’s not his looking completely out of it and confused and saying he “can’t remember what happened.” Of Zara kissing him while he stands there numb and unresponsive until he stumbles off, still looking lost and sad and barely aware of his surroundings. Smth smth all of. That.

robby was drunk as fuck and didn’t give consent at all, and they’re sick for trying to push it as robby ‘cheating’ when it’s clearly not what that is.. AT ALL.

the show isn’t gonna address it, and the people who are watching the show, the viewers, are making excuses for zara, saying that it didn’t happen (are y’all blind?) that robby should be lucky, ‘it’s fine cause zara is hot’

it’s truly disgusting and disturbing. it’s all really nasty. i hate how when she kissed him after leaving her room he literally looked so lost, numb and you could tell he was completely out of it.

plastering it as a ‘hook-up’ or ‘cheating’ is nuts when the show clearly implied it as SA. it’s not taken seriously in the show, and a whole group of people are not taking it seriously as well.

if you don’t think it’s SA, im gonna assume you’re dumb or dense, didn’t pay attention or just realise it’s SA but you don’t give a shit.

keenry will also never work for me unfortunately (given how many ppl like them) just the most “pair the spares” situation ever lol

i personally think keenry as a couple was very much an easy way out and quite lazy writing. i’m not saying they’ve been badly written together, but it was such an obvious and cliche thing for the writers to continue their godforsaken love square. they both deserve so much development outside of romantic relationships.
