Unova x DSMP : Basic Badge

Captain Puffy is certainly the most famous explorer of Unova ! Her numerous travels gave her artefacts from all around the world and stories you can find in the library behind the museum she opened.

Some says her important collection come from her past as a pirate, but Captain Puffy has denied having any memories about her past.

She is still travelling and goes frequently across the region. Her last journey had her meet a new pupil, who quickly grew as a powerful trainer in the West region and a precious mentee. She also has a long standing rivalry with the previous Opelucid gym leader, nothing too grievous luckily.

Captain Puffy specializes in the normal type. Her signature pokemon is a Cinccino with a fur as soft and white than her trainer, and just as mischevious.

Her opponents are often taken by surprise by her strength and strategical mind, as well as her almost inexistant type weakness. Many catch a fighting pokemon in the forest around only to be able to get around her.

While our previous gym leader travels across regions, this one travels across the world ! Always in search of new tales by which to get inspired, this artist love to meet people and keep their stories alive.

To the readers and reviewers :

First, thank you ! I don't reblog a lot to not give away clues but it's a delight to read reactions and know people like it.

Second, I propose you a challenge seeing as you find them pretty easily : if the name of each leader fall correctly before their reveal, you can get more of the AU sooner (Some characters I'd reveal anyway, but you'd know about them faster).

So far, at least one person always had the name of the next gym leader. No one has yet found the third. Good luck !

Unova x DSMP : Jet Badge

The true sky master of Unova is none other than Hannah Rose !

Gym leader of Mistralton City, she is also an apt plane driver. She is in charge of driving the products created in Mistralton to Driftveil, where they'll be sold and sent across the region.

A scientist from Striaton once gave her a flying suit so she could sail the skies with her pokemons but an opponent got too rouge and mistakenly hit her, destroying the costume. It was an important loss for which she receives many apologies.

She can still fly alongside her precious Unfezant and the rest of her team though the feeling is different.

Hannah specializes in jumping from platforms to platforms, trying to develop a new type of battle "aerial fight", so far unable to convince any trainer to try. Seeing her jumping from one flying pokemon to another gave vertigo to many !

Her flying pokemons also helps her weed out the insects dangerous for the large plantations in the city's periphery. Hannah herself is a great gardener, her speciality being her roses who are as beautiful as sturdy. Their strong thorns keep wild pokemons away from the fields and the town. Hannah first grew them because she liked the flower but it's now an emblem of both the gym leader and the city.

To come : Freeze Badge

Retired chimist and magician, the holder of the freeze badge is before all clever. They're also, despite opposing claims, not a fury. They just like their hat. No comment was made on the tail.

Their lover can be found on a small house only accessible when frost cover the swamp.

Unova x DSMP : Quake Badge

Just as strong as his pokemons, Awesamdude is the terrifying gym leader of Driftveil.

Built like the fridges he exports in mass, Awesamdude is more than his physical strength though. Genius and creative, the gym leader is also a recognized scientist.

In fact, while exploring caves system with his pokemons, he discovered of a new precious mineral called redstone, a still unknown powder with electrical properties. To protect himself and his employees from inhaling the dust, Awesamdude created with his ex-partner a serie of respiratory masks.

He guards his mine ferocely against thieves and trafiquants. The security is so high there the Pokemon Association has some plan for it once the redstone will be commercialized... in a far far future.

Under his gruff exterior, Awesamdude hides a heart of gold and is always ready to help : he protects the mine with fervor but only so the mineral can't be misused. He is very reliant and a mastodonte of strength.

He is often seen with Warden, an Exacdrill XXL, alias his fighting pokemon referee.

While Warden is the biggest threat for a trainer in a gym fight, some say Awesamdude has a secret pokemon, actually dangerous that he only uses against redstone thieves. This is only a rumor though, as only one individual ever managed to share the tale.

Quick on their feet, trainers better be ready before fighting the master of the sky battles.

Up - down - across platforms, gravity has no hold on this fabulous trainer ! Folks said they even had wings sewed on before a terrible fight ripped them to shreds. Their tradition is to plant a flower for each trainer defeated, explaining the fabulous garden outside of the Chargestone cave

Unova x DSMP : Freeze Badge

With his apt name for an Ice gym leader, Antfrost is the reigning champion of Icirrus city.

Very recognizable with his cat hat and ice tail, Antfrost is in charge of Icirrus' gym.

Antfrost was once put on the bench by the Pokemon Association following a trainers plaint, who was arguing that the gym leader used too much potions. Antfrost, being very well versed into their recipes before becoming leader, used to stack them up in his inventory and effectively won each of his battle. The following rule of "No gym leader can use more than 2 Hyper Potions" finds its root here, a decision Antfrost accepted with grace.

He is also very good friend with the previous and current gym leaders of Opelucid city, with who he likes to meet up each Friday.

Antfrost's boyfriend is also a renowned trainer, know for his rotative pokemons fight. But their house is only accessible in winter, when the snow accumulate down the moutain's side.

Antfrost of course doesn't have that problem thanks to his Vanilluxe who can recreate a snow storm in ten seconds. His boyfriend says that he chose his pokemon because he "liked the two balls".

This champion is the most energetic yet. Like the city they inhabit, their sparkling energy and joyous craziness put everyone in the mood to accomplish grand things. They're accompanied by Opelucid's previous gym leader, who forced them to take on the responsibility, thinking them to be more deserving of the position
