Summary : Y/n's mistakenly takes someone's drink at a party. Despite the initial embarrassment, they engage in light chit-chat and discover a sense of familiarity. Oscar introduces himself, and they exchange greetings, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their story.

Y/n chuckled when she remembered how embrassed it was when she took the wrong glass and sipped it like nothing was wrong. But she could feel the confused look from someone beside her. "I'm thinking you might have grabbed mine by mistake." She glanced to her side, wondering if the words she had just heard were indeed meant for her.

"Huh?" She finally turned to fully face that man. He chuckled at her puzzled expression, but eventually, with a raised eyebrow, he pointed to the glass she was holding. "Oh my goodness! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to take your drink." Her eyes widened in shock, and her heart raced as embarrassment flooded over her. He held back his laughter. "No worries. I can take another one," as he said, he cracked a grin like a friendly cat. His eyes squinted playfully, giving off a vibe that was both laid-back and amused. "Let me grab you another one." "No need for that, I-" Ignoring him, she sauntered away to fetch a new drink, intending to replace the one she had mistakenly taken from him earlier. It didn't take long for y/n to return. Once she returned, they engaged in light chit-chat, chatting about who invited them to the party. It wasn't until later that she realized the guy she'd been talking to looked kind of familiar. "So, which friend brought you here tonight?" she asked. "Oh, just through some mates, racing circles and all. What about you?" "Just here with a friend. By the way, you seem oddly familiar. Have we met before?" "I get that a lot. Maybe you've seen me on the street or something."

She just laughed, shrugged it off, and took another sip of her drink. At the same time, he shot her a cheeky smile, sneaking a few glances while she checked out the scene around her. After a bit, he decided to break the ice, "I'm Oscar, by the way."

"I'm y/n. Nice to meet you, Oscar."

With a cheerful smile, they exchanged a warm handshake. It marked the beginning of a new chapter in their story.

"Can't you stay for one more night?" Oscar asked. He walks over to y/n who is arranging her luggage a little hurriedly.

Y/n smiled before saying, "work can't wait. But I promise I'll come another day."

"Okay, i'll counting the days until you return."

She laughs, then stands up and pulls Oscar into her arms. "You're doing a good job. Keep going!"

"I'll miss you." He hugs her tighter, as if he's not willing to let her go.

"Me too."

They fall into a moment of silence, soaking in each other's warmth before having to go back to being apart for a period of time they don't know how long.

She never expect the party that night to lead her into a complicated situation, where she has to love someone who is out of her reach. Remembering how stupid she was that night for not recognizing Oscar right away when his face looked so familiar, and how Oscar didn't say anything until she finally realized.

"Oh! I have something for you."

She opens her bag and takes something out. A bracelet with a four-leaf clover. "I don't have the skill to draw, and I wouldn't risk making your helmet look ugly."

Oscar takes the bracelet and immediately puts it on. "I can't agree more. But it's more than enough," he replies mischievously while laughing. He is so happy to see the bracelet now neatly wrapped around his wrist. "Thank you."

Okay, a few things that would be a must would be:

A "Meanwhile, on the boat..." moment, or perhaps a montage of moments where things are happening throughout the MCU movies that happened post-TFATWS and Sam and Bucky are just 😂 on the boat, hearing about the events after the fact. I keep thinking about the scene in season 7 of Supernatural where they montage Dean commenting on what Castiel does with his new godlike powers while Dean fixes his car, but it doesn't have to be like that (3:16-3:46 here for reference lol).

Sam needs to save Bucky from falling. Sam had someone he couldn't save in the air. Bucky didn't have anyone to save him when he fell. Sam and Bucky both need that catharsis and it's wild that didn't happen in the first season.

Sam flying around as Bucky snipes at things 😂 Again - how did that not happen in the first season?

Sam and Bucky must either be already roommates or looking for an apartment which will be the place they will live in together.

Sarah, AJ, and Cass must be in it as well as other people we've seen like Carlos, Tommy, Isaiah, and Eli.

Another song by Curtis Harding must close the show's next sunset ending (it MUST be a good ending where they look into the sunset again, I'm sorry, I don't make the rules). Perhaps Can't Hide It by Curtis Harding?

Joaquín! There must be more Jay, I refuse to believe there wouldn't be so much more Jay in a season two.

Things I can live without but I think would be a waste if they aren't in a hypothetical season two:

A huge and exciting action sequence during a New Orleans Mardi Gras Parade with Sam being the King of that parade.

There's a team of villainous jugglers in the Marvel comics called the Death-Throws. I really want them as secondary comedic villains who may or may not be kind of good people a la Jessie, James, and Meowth from Team Rocket in Pokemon movies. Just let Sam and Bucky have some comedy villains in the background doing their thing, Marvel.

Visiting Steve on the Moon. I just think Sam and Bucky deserve space shenanigans. I will also take a Facetime, if that's too out of budget, though.

Misty Knight cameo where Sam and Misty either imply or outright talk about being exes. Probably amicable, though, it would be funny if Sam's a bit awkward about it, but Misty's chill with him.

Karli resurrection. She deserved more of a redemption arc than Walker. Bring her back to life, Disney, I dare you.

Bucky and Falcon!Redwing don't get along. More because Bucky is jealous than anything else.

A VISIT TO WAKANDA! Do they go to Birnin Zana? Do they visit the town Bucky was living in as a goatherder? Do they go to Ayo and Aneka's home for dinner? Maybe they possibly only let Sam into the country while Ayo is like "I told you to lie low for a while, White Wolf" to Bucky 😂

Baron Zemo can have a cameo, if only because Anthony Mackie was bummed that Daniel Brühl isn't a part of Cap 4.

Wildest Options I Don't Think Would Happen But I Would Love:

SamBucky wedding. It all takes place the days leading up to their wedding. Or, if I'm being more realistic, a wedding. Like, if, say Sarah and Rhodey were getting married or Carol and Valkyrie or perhaps Ayo and Aneka.

SamBucky kiss? Though, again, highly doubt that and I'm really okay with SamBucky not being canon.

Fourth wall break where Feige himself walks into a room, sits down, and apologizes about how he treated Sam Wilson's character in the MCU and promises to do better. He pulls out an entire slide show and the episode is just him talking about how he will be integrating Sam more thoroughly into the MCU. I'm talking how specifically Sam will cameo, where he will cameo, pitches for other projects Sam will be heavily tied to, the works.

Group 1-

Your ideal balance looks like you always being ready in a way that seems lucky… “Build it and they will come” kinda thing. You would do well where you can work on something at your own pace and then when the timing is right you launch, share, sell… whatever this is.

The key to keep in mind is to not build it without sharing… build with something in mind. If you build it for you, then congrats… you have it… lol If you want others to partake and give something in return, build with others in mind. What do people need now or in the future that you can offer a solution to?

As this is something that takes time to build up without income, finding a way to begin while in another phase might be necessary. Unless you have savings and wish to go that route.

Group 2-

Your balance seems to look like waiting for something to build with or for. You would do well in a situation where you build what other people want based on like custom orders? You seem to do well with the input and request part. People seem to be important to your role. You want to feel like a part of what they need. You want to use your skills.

I think the key to balance here would be to not forget yourself as well. Set expectations for what you will and won’t do and don’t give away things just to be a part of it. Independence seems to be a need here or even as a team. Be where you have complete freedom to say no.

It could be a good idea to experiment with things without signing big contracts or getting a new job. You seem to be in an easy to influence position even if it is your best your ideal. Go slow.

Group 3-

Adventure, absolute freedom in an area you know a little about where you get to explore. Something where you get to follow the pull… wherever it may lead. It seems there may be a need for quite a bit of activity as well but not in a constant way. Not sports or something, but maybe like hiking into caves that nobody has ever heard of… (an example for reference). Surviving in ways that others wouldn’t care to… like a trip that takes a month and is super exhausting but you love every bit of it. The imbalance of your balance 😂

The thing is that you may have to build this avenue yourself. Perhaps in the way of being an online personality or it may be that you have to fit into the mold of a company for this role. Which makes sense considering. For example something like acting… it doesn’t mean you are gonna be doing something you don’t like. This is your ideal so it’s a compromise that makes sense to you.

This could be something you start right now if you wanted. It would need planning and things of the sort but it seems like you could find ways to work it in through doses at least.

Group 4-

You seem to already have knowledge about something that you could put out there that would put you in your ideal place. It has to deal with a change that you know about. It could be something you went through that you can tell others about, or something that needs to change that you have the answer to.

The key here is to understand who you are building it for and to make sure it isn’t about you so much as how it can help them. Tell people what you learned in a way that can help them. Or tell people about what needs to change in a way that doesn’t blacklist you from their minds so to speak…

This may take some time to build but the most important part is the way it’s done!

1. this… is a good question LMAO maybe no one brought it up to her cos she might get embarrassed? OR bea wakes up too early for anyone to catch her in the act 😂 and yes, i’d think ava would definitely try to have a full conversation with her like “bea, bea, what’s the weather like” and bea just randomly spouts temperature numbers and sea condition. or like “bea what’s your favorite sex position?”, which ends up with bea having a rather scandalous dream, much to ava’s amusement 😂

2. i’d say yes!!! except she hugs the smaller ones and ends up with pine needles everywhere. bea’s exasperated but ava just shrugs and says, “worth it.” on that note, hug a tree people. it’s fucking soul-healing.

3. oh, definitely. camila gives her twinkle eyes, mary’s like “what the fuck does that even mean, too lesbian”, and lilith doesn’t even dignify it all with a response 😂 which is to say… her friends weren’t any help at all.

4. i think it’d be something simple cos they’re good at talking to each other about their feelings. so stuff like ava leaving her shoes a mess by the front door, which means beatrice keeps tripping on them, or bea’s tendency to overpack, which almost makes them late for their trips. they’d snipe at each other because they’re human (bea: “what’s so difficult about putting your shoes away, ava?” and ava: “what the hell would you need a sewing kit for, bea?”) and probably get too irritated until one of them realizes it’s a ridiculous thing to fight about. probably won’t always make up through sex because bea got a concussion the last time she tripped on ava’s shoes and there was no time for even a quickie when they almost missed their flight, but someone will make a joke and they’ll laugh about it at least. (this… got unintentionally soft 😂)

5. omg, yes!!! what if they attend a gala and ava’s whole fam is wearing chanel’s clothes? literally A+++ publicity and just about launches chanel in the spotlight 😌 jillian in a suit and ava in a dangerous dress, what more can you ask for 🔥

6. lengthy ask anon, i had notion and phone notes and paper charts and i even tried using this free mind mapping thing just to keep track of everything 😂 i went full-on type A on this thing. i even had a mood board. and a playlist. and 2847293 drafts. i have so much content idk what to do with these now 💀

Not gonna lie to you - It’s not exactly ace to get the Hermit card for any love related question. 😂 But then you also have the 2 of Cups… So let’s dive deeper into this!

You might experience a gentle shift towards topics regarding love and relationships. What sports did you play/have you played? when i was a tiny baby child i played soccer, and in grade 7 i did cheerleading which i loved and desperately want to get back into some day, even just casually

What are your hobbies? i watch a lot of tv (stargate mostly at the moment surprise surprise) and read/write fan fic (take a guess what) but i’ve been trying to pick up some more stuff that takes me away from screens. i started drawing, which im horrible at and i love. i started knitting, and as soon as i get the right needles im gonna make a temperature blanket. im also trying to take up swimming, dancing, and rock climbing to get into better shape! i love all 3 activities im just really bad at making myself be active so it’s a slow process lol

i saw your post earlier, and you’re absolutely right. the mileven tag has a lot of issues. first of all is the type of content being posted.

we barely have any active blogs, and the ones that are seem to be more content posting anti-by/ler hate then actually propping up mike and el. like from what i’ve seen, that’s exactly what by/lers make fun of us about, and we’re playing right into their narrative.

next is the cross-tagging. this isn’t entirely our fault, with bigger juggernaut ships mostly to blame. but god it’s so hard to find mileven content like headcanon or fic when it’s drowned out by anti content or unrelated relationships.

honestly that’s all I can think of off the top of my head, but i’d love to hear your thoughts.

Ight lemme just preface this by saying I'm reeeeeeeeally struggling with word retrieval and transitions today, so I apologize if this is... clunky, lol. 🙈💧

It's a tricky situation for sure! First, we're outnumbered af. That alone puts us at a disadvantage for content output. Factor in that there's generally less of a "need" to generate content of long-canonized ships (for obvious reasons lol), and it's a recipe for a pretty quiet tag. The fact of the matter is that Mileven is and has been canon for several years now. It's only natural that hype would die down. For the most part, Mileven shippers have graduated from the honeymoon stage to having a more quiet and resevered appreciation for the ship. But for those of us who never left, or those whose love has been reinvigorated (me lol), it can be really frustrating when all you want to do is celebrate your ship. So yes, while I do wish there was more positive Mileven content to consume, I get why there's so little of it. A lot of shippers are just content with what canon has provided. 🤷

Now where anti-b*ler content is concerned.... generally I don't mind seeing it myself, but there's definitely exceptions to this and I can see how others would prefer to not see it at all. While I try to avoid the topic of B*ler on my own blog, I sympathize with Mileven shippers who are constantly under fire by trolls and antis who just don't know when to quit. It's really shitty and unnecessary behavior, especially considering how much they outnumber us. I get how choosing to engage with them could very well be giving them what they want, but simultaneously I can understand the frustration and desire to throw it back at them. Plus I'd be lying if I didn't find the content amusing or cathartic at times. I guess it really isn't my place to tell people how to deal with being harassed, but yeah. I agree that it would be better to only tag anti-b*ler. Even if don't mind seeing it, it would make finding actual Mileven content a LOT easier.

As for the cross-tagging..... Yeahhhhh... There's not much I can really add 😂 It's a much bigger issue than us, and aside from telling them to cut it out (a likely futile effort), I really don't know what else can be done on our side. THIS IS WHY WE NEED A "HIDE" BUTTON GODDAMMIT ASKSHDJDK 😤

Some final thoughts:

While there's little we can do solve these issues, one thing we CAN do is just try to engage with other shippers and put out content of our own. If we get the ball rolling, it may inspire others to do the same. Hell, I'm no writer, but because a mutual sent a simple Mileven ask, it got the gears in my head turning and I started writing a wholeass fic 🤣 I also want say that I do believe things are starting to head in a better direction. I've only had this blog for 3 months, but in the time that I've been here, I do believe that I've seen a positive shift. And I mean... we are bringing Mileven Week back this year, so I can't be the only one who thinks this. 😋💕

Okay, lets start with @/srta-pepa‘s ‘Do I know you’  (WIP) because, come on.. how can someone not like this one. Sobbe are so sooft and lovely in this... Idk how else to describe. It has bit of angst becuase Robbe loses his memory but the more recent chapter she has uploaded is everything you wish for. She also has this another fic ‘The things I do for you’.. FULL OF FLUFF AND KISSES AND SOFT SOBBE!!!! Definitely read that one if you havent. Please!

Visitations (E) by @/lucidpantone is another amazing piece of work. I LOVE THIS FIC. The way she wrote the story *chef’s kiss*. It’s definitely worth a read. Its very exciting and ngl, it was romantic (for me) AND Sobbe has tattoos in it!!!. I died waiting for the last chapter.. hehe :p It defintely was different than everything i have ever read. read it and you will know what  am talking about.

If You say Run, I'll Run with You (E and WIP) by @/anicocat is soooo cute. Its one night AU but it cant be JUST one night thing with Sobbe. Its amazing and cute. The both are very confident and flirty and bit cranky but you will LOVE it. If you havent read it, definitely missing out on something good. I dont know how the fuck I missed out Five out of Thirty (WIP) by @/tyrusmwm. Its my favorite. LIKE REALLY MY FAVORITE!!! Its a slow burn and Robbe and Sander finding their way to each other. Maybe Robbe is taking a bit longer, but he is definitely getting there. I love this fic, i am taking this chance to thank you, for writing this. I dont want it to end :’(

The way we feel (WIP) by @/petitrobbe is another fluffy Best friends to lover AU. Its very cute and soft. Sobbe are so in love with each other in this fic. And there is cuddling and flirting!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Go check them out.

The night we met by @/dearsander is a College AU. Its very lovely. I enjoyed this one soo much, and the first kiss got me screaming, it was so beautiful and romantic!!!

Now, this chapter - I have enjoyed that there was some joy here. That we get to be reminded that even though they aren't the most caring of friends, they are still best friends and they do still enjoy each other's company. Being close friends with male humans is definitely a test of self care and self harm. Men are T.rash and I'll say it until I die. But, some girls are able to still consider them friends despite how selfish and entitled they are. She's unfortunately regularly surrounded by them. What a strong kid. I could never. I mean, I had moments in high school where I was the only girl around, but never by choice for an extended period of time. Always needed at least one good human girl around. Dang, I wish Charlotte had a sister circle outside of this. Male egos are stifling. Thank goodness for Charnia. Lol.

Speaking. Of. Let's discuss these callbacks and the subtleties in which you weave canon into this in such real and fond ways. Whenever Rick suggested the cake, I made a sound that I wish I had been recording for you, because I. Completely. Forgot. That the cake was part of his plan! (I can't watch Henry's Birthday too much. It's mad triggering. That was the first time that I just decided I was done with the Ray character and it had me so in my feelings about how adults mistreat kids and I just kind of blocked it out), but I also haven't rewatched the 3parter in months, so when I was reading this chapter and he mentioned the cake, I like yelped and then said, "That's AMORE!" 😂

Then, to highlight that Charlotte and Piper were friends - I had such high headcanons for their friendship before canon writers let Piper into the Cave, where of course, she got tainted by the guys, like young girls often do. 🙄 Men wrote the current way that Piper handles Charlotte and it shows. That's why I'm fine AF with misandry. Throw the whole male population away. Lol.

Henryway, had forgotten about the cake.

Appreciated that Piper, too, noticed Ray's disgusting obsession with Mrs. Hart that I CANNOT BELIEVE that show still finds entertaining, but I don't have the time to drag men on this post again. But, yep - definitely the root of that wretched running joke. Ain't nothing cute or funny about uncomfortably hitting on a woman who hasn't given you any type of sign and to do so in the safe space of her home, in the company of children she's created and their friends, especially when the one that you know her through has made it clear that it makes them uncomfortable. Men don't respect boundaries. Okay, so I did have a little more time.

LOVED the pickle jar callback. Especially placing it here, because it also brings me to Broken Armed and Dangerous (which was like... Comedic GOLD) Whenever bruh used the same tactic for Mama's pickle jar.

And it was just good to envision the Cave kids having fun that nobody gets hurt or abused or mistreated. Like, watching the show whenever they sort of still wanted us to believe these characters were friends. Was refreshing and ended on a positive note, which I believe we needed after the guy punch of the end of Chapter 3. And let me close out this long ass response with this... Rick ain't have to go stress bake. I got cakes over here. 😂😂😂 #RealThotGirlShit On that, lemme dismiss myself.

When Charlotte walked into Rick’s office on Monday after school, he indicated that she take a seat.

“How you doing, kid?” he asked as he rifled through some files. Even though his attention was divided, Charlotte could tell he still cared about whatever words were about to come out of her mouth.

“I’m doing okay,” she said. “I’m sorry for falling asleep Saturday night. I didn’t even realize how late it was or that I was so tired.”

Rick shook his head. “Don’t worry about it. I get it. Do you have any idea how many times I’ve fallen asleep in my office?”

Now that Charlotte was looking at him, it was pretty obvious he hadn’t gotten much rest recently. His hair was a bit askew and greasy, as if he hadn’t washed it or gelled it back recently, and his clothes were wrinkled. The bags under his eyes were dark and pronounced.

“Did you get home okay?” Rick continued.
