Hi syd!! 💕 how’ve you been? (I’ve been busy and in desperate need of some time off) who is the one who does most of the cooking? Demi or Jesse? Do Demi and Jesse have any friends outside of their immediate circle? Does baby ever go trick or treating and what would she dress as?

im sorry u've been so busy!! :( i hope ur taking good care of urself and resting up well, im mailing u a blanket and a nice warm hug. and ive been pretty good!! just trying to do my work with occasional breaks for the Indulgences (<- alaska). jesse is the one who does most of the cooking!! its my personal hope and dream that he finds cooking a nice, soothing activity since theres a pretty rigid step by step set of instructions to follow and the outcome is something Good. he's creating something good!! demi can make like toast or some rice in a pinch, but shes not particularly good at cooking, so their labor is pretty evenly divided so that he does the cooking and she does the cleaning. it takes both of them a while to make friends and they're never going to be like Social Butterflies, but they do eventually befriend a few parents through baby's schooling and community members, especially once demi's practice expands and the kennel becomes a go-to spot for stray animals in all the local counties, meaning more volunteers are needed and more people are met :) and as for trick or treating, baby actually doesnt go for several years. josephine and mason take her when she's three, but baby is so scared that they only hit like two houses before going back home; attempts to take her out next year just lead to the same result. the darkness and the bright, scary decorations and kids in costumes really, really scare her, so much so that she doesn't try again until she's eight. she goes as a deep sea diver (this choice is inspired by my little sister going as a seaworld trainer for one halloween which yes is problematic and she should be cancelled) and doesn't stay out for super long, but she's able to get some candy!! she trick or treats for the next few years and while she never strays far from home and avoids the houses with the decorations that jump out or move, she has fun and feels safe with both of her parents there :'')
