Because he was raised primarily by Gosha and didn't have any friends as a kid, Legoshi doesn't always recognize canine instinct and behaviour for what they are in him so when he and Jack first start becoming friends there were moments when he would apologize for being himself, behaving like a dog, and Jack would just stare at him for a moment before doing the exact same thing like it was no problem.

#legoshi who just apologizes for being himself even though no one including gosha has asked him too #like gosha finds his wolfish traits very adorable. they remind him of his wife and his daughter.#and he assures legoshi he doesnt need to apologize but legoshi's only frame of reference is his reptilian grandfather and his depressed mom #so he sees his canine behaviour as different and weird and since people already think hes weird he assumes that's the reason #when the reason is because 1) he's autistic and 2) he's a wolf who acts like a lizard #but because his only frame of reference is gosha and he sees nothing wrong with his mixed heritage he doesn't recognize that #so he doesn't understand that his canine behaviour is because he's part canine until after jack comes into his life #and he can see his instincts reflected in him and it finally clicks. before it was just gosha being nice. now it's oh it is just a dog thing #happy's babblings #beastars
