Okay I gotta ask; what happens to the Samadhi Fire in your Red Monkey & Blue Dragon au? Jay already has electricity powers & I doubt giving another character fire powers (after Kai & Red Son) would be narratively intriguing unless it was a character we don’t see more of in OG LMK, so what about that specific arc? Does it go to someone else or does it just turn out to be a farce of some kind in your au?

That's a very good question with a complicated answer

Because on one hand ur r correct giving another character fire powers after 2 folks already got em won't be all that interesting, but on the other hand the character development and potential with that plot point is too interesting to explore for me to NOT have it stay

I like the dynamic it created between Mei and Red Son and the fact that It really showed Mei and MKs friendship. I want to emulate those exact same things with this au since this au not only focuses on the individual development of the characters it also highlights Jay and Kai's brotherhood. They become so much closer in this au due to the events and this relationship would theoretically carry onto DR if I ever decided to continue post completion of this au

If anything Jay having fire abilities as well just further pushes them closer together connecting them In a way they aren't with the others. While I don't know if I plan on Jay using the ability post that Arc I do want to keep the lead up because I just love it to much to completely get rid of it or bring in a random character we didn't see much of to replace Jay. It just wouldn't have the same impact imo.

TLDR: Yes I plan on keeping the Samadhi Fire Arc in the au. Yes it's still going to be Jay, I'm debating on if he'll even get to use the ability post this Arc or if it'll be sealed away or something but it will be him
