A real AI/ML Capstone question, up for debate in this week's Discussion Forum.
The real answer is none, because that's terrifying as fuck.
Let me reiterate: this is a real thing being considered. Whether it's deemed ethical or not doesn't matter - the fact that we're considering it is fuckign BONKERS. I hate it.
#littleblondesoprano#legit the last df was asking about if NN's findings should be considered credible or not in a court of law#and my answer was: do you know how much time you would have to waste just explaining and PROVING that your data isn't discriminatory??#or biased??#or that the way the data is trained isn't discriminatory or biased??#do you know how long it would take to explain how to preprocess data and explain how the dang thing worked at all?? To a court and judges??#but I also said it should be considered on a case-by-case basis and how involved NNs and AI/ML is to the case#Like if its integral then take the time but like no. Machines can be WROOONGG#do you know how much more of a fucking mess the court system would be if it had to integrate new rules for AI testimony n shit?#nothing will make you want to start homesteading in the middle of the wilderness than doing a masters on AI/ML
